WE’RE BACK AND ACTIVE

I know we hit a slump and that’s there been very little activity on here, but both muns have been busy since opening with RL but I’m working on a handful of new characters, will be queuing up the promo blog to get the word out there. 

We want active and dedicated members to make this RPG work. You can apply for any of the open PREMADES or apply as your own OC. Don’t hesitate to ask us any questions about anything you have a query about.

can you give me a quick plot summary?

I guess that the quick plot summary would be as follows: Modern day Salem is a town that hosts factions of supernatural creatures (vampires, werewolves, witches and hoodou) that live in secret from the normal townspeople, hiding from the hunters that wish to kill them. The hunters are more organised than ever and out for blood. Who can you trust? And how long is it till full on war breaks out?

how long has this been open?

We’ve been open since about October last year, we did a revamp in January and have hit a slump since but we are looking forward to kicking up again and getting started once more.

⤀ Zachary Liu is 30 years old and allied with the Witches. They can often be found working in the Mayor’s office and can be compared to Harry Shum Jr. They are OPEN.

B I O G R A P H Y

They have one rule and one rule only, when it comes to living their life and it is to enjoy it and to do as much as he can with it. When they were younger, they were the one that everyone could count on for a good time, their family was wealthy and wanted them to be happy no matter what. During college they were the host of nearly every party and the ones that they didn’t host were the ones that they found themselves bringing the entertainment. They are one of the few people in Salem that can say that they love every part of their life but after a couple of years travelling around the world, discovering new things they agreed that it was time to return home.

Coming back home with a new appreciation of his local coven, magic has become the one thing that is not a joke to them. It’s something that they are grateful for, they recognise how it has helped him and made his life easier. To them magic is a blessing, so when they returned to Salem they began to immerse themselves in the coven and soon became a valuable asset once he began working as the Public Relations officer for the town mayor. Although they never truly sought out to be part of the internal politics of the coven, their position holds a power of its own which they are very careful in wielding.

Their personal choices are decisions that are quite unique to most people in the small town of Salem, they have no qualms about admitted their identity and pansexuality. They have had a fair share of backlash especially with the job that he had but Zachary learnt to build themselves up from it. Zachary hasn’t let it get in the way of progress and will not let anyone by any means demean him. 

P E R S O N A L I T Y

Zachary is someone that everyone knows to be flamboyant, their parties are known to be lavish and planned events for the Mayor are the events of the season. They are an open person, something that travelling has helped them develop and is accepting of everyone in town as one of the faces for the Mayor and the local coven. They also come across as brutally honest, they doesn’t put up with anyone’s crap and has an opinion about everything.

⤀ Seth Lewis is 27 years old and allied with the Witches. They can often be found running errands for Alec and can be compared to Jack Falahee. They are OPEN.

B I O G R A P H Y

It was never in Seth’s plans to end up in Salem, it wasn’t how his life was supposed to turn out. He was from a well to do New York family, a long line of lawyers and an even longer line of witches from the New York coven. Life as perfect, everything went his way and if it didn’t he knew exactly how to get what he wanted. He was part of a family legacy and one that was untarnishable, in his family making a mistake meant exile and he made the biggest mistake of all.

He followed in the family footsteps went to Harvard Law School, worked in the family law firm and was doing well. It wasn’t something that he wanted to do but it was something that he was good at even if he occasionally did cross the ethical line to get results but Seth figured that as long as no one found out, he would be okay. Where his true ambitions lay were in the New York coven, he knew his talents and he had his eyes set on becoming a Council Member after all that’s where the true power in his family was found.

He had a plan to get himself to the top of the New York coven but it was shattered when it was discovered that he had been bribing officials in court to rule in his favour. It was a scandal that the family could not afford and would not allow. His family managed to keep the news from going public and banished him from New York, and once news spread he soon found himself being barred from all the other covens and until he got to Salem. He knew Salem was a small coven but one with history.

Working to pass the bar exam in Massachusetts, he’s found a place working as Alec Buchanan’s office running errands. Seth finds it demeaning but a necessary evil while he tries to gain the confidence of those in the Coven and reestablish himself in the community, beyond the influence and reach of his family.

P E R S O N A L I T Y

Seth is a resentful person, he resent his family for banishing him from New York and resents the fact that he has to work for Alec as an underling when he knows that he’s capable of so much more. He’s also incredibly ambitious, it’s the main reason why he was caught out in New York and you don’t have to hang around with him too long to realise that. Since being kicked out of his family and New York he has become increasingly more vindictive, he feels that he has to prove himself and beat everyone who cast him aside and put him down.

⤀ Vivian Young is 25 years old and allied with the Humans. They can often be found serving and drinking drinks at the Brew and can be compared to Nina Dobrev. They are OPEN.

B I O G R A P H Y

Vivian is a townie but her family didn’t always live in Salem, they moved to the town when she was relatively young and doesn’t remember much of life in the big city before moving to Salem. It is the place that she calls home even though she knows very little of the true nature of the town. Of course like most of the people in town, she just chooses not to believe that there are darker things that run around town, a town that she grew to love and feel safe in. She doesn’t see the point in picking apart the faults of the town, for better or for worse, it’s home. 

She lives in blissful and wilful ignorance, she’d rather turn a blind to what’s really going on and focus on more important things or at least things that she considered to be more important like her friends and her job. Everything else is inconsequential, it's just a fact of life that can't be changed so why bother being worried about it. The bar is where she meets everyone and where everything in her eyes comes together, everyone comes to drink away their problems and meet up with friends. Nothing could be more proof to her that there is nothing strange about the people of Salem.

The Brew had also become something of a second home to her and whenever she has a shift there she always endeavours to make sure that they feel the same. She’s the smiling face behind the bar who’s always happy to listen or tell a joke to cheer someone up or to help them win over their crush on the other side of the bar. Working in the bar also gives her an excuse to hang out with her own crush, Sam, her boss. She know she shouldn’t be crushing on her boss but she’s constantly trying to get him to swap his scowl for a smile.

Outside the bar however, it’s more than likely that you can find Vivian helping tutoring college students and helping them study. She went to college in Salem and couldn’t imagine living anywhere else after she graduated so now she helps the students at the local college to study and help get through their exams. To some she didn’t live up to her true potential but she’d rather be happy at home than struggling ambitiously move up in a job in a city she doesn’t know. 

P E R S O N A L I T Y

Vivian is flirty by nature and she doesn’t mean any harm by it, it's just how she is and it all comes from a place of friendliness. She likes for everyone to be happy or feel at home, she doesn’t  and because of this people see her as incredibly optimistic, she would rather choose to believe the best in people and in the town. Some people, especially those who know about the supernatural, think that she’s naive to ignore what’s obviously going on around her.
