Fun Facts: Mobian - 2
Alpheus’ home, as you might expect for a god, is extremely unconventional. Not content to build his house amongst other Mobians on ground level, he’s built his home on top of a giant cloud! It’s surprisingly spacious, about the size of a mansion, with a decently sized yard, and everything you might expect a thunder god to have.
Given the immortal weasel’s relative affinity for modern technology, he has things like lights, televisions, and computers in his residence. It’s unknown how he gets running electricity up there, but it’s not unreasonable to assume that he came up with his own special solutions to that problem. Other special features of the home include a magic mirror for watching the weather and Mobians of interest on the surface, and an armory containing many sets of armor.
Alpheus’ Thoughts: “Oh yeah, it’s a pretty snazzy place! Still haven’t gotten the chance to show Nack and Nick yet. Really, there’s no reason that they can’t know about it, I just got to get around to inviting them over. A god’s work is never done!”

Fun Facts: Terran - 3
Terra, the planet that our squad of nerds occupies, is governed by six schools of magic: Earth, Wind, Water, Fire, Dark, and Light (No heart unfortunately) The first four schools of magic are very versatile in their use, and in the right hands can be applied both offensively and defensively, as well as for utilitarian uses at times. Light and dark magic however, are less versatile, and are mainly used for defensive and offensive purposes, respectively.
Dark magic is commonly used by demons, can be corruptive by nature, influencing pure, innocent Terrans to commit horrible atrocities, and has mostly offensive uses, mainly physical and mental damage to the user’s enemies. Light magic is the opposite, focusing on healing, wards/shields against other magic and physical attacks, and other applications. Strangely enough, there are no documented cases of light magic making Terrans significantly more heroic or something similar.
Goldie’s powers are based off of an unusual mix of light and dark magic, although light magic is commonly cited, given that it’s the primary element in use for Phenix’s teleporter. Nick is an unusual case of a dark magic user, who doesn’t seem to succumb to the typical effects of dark magic usage. Reliable sources tend to cite that tightly controlled training of these powers, and possibly a bit of luck are the primary contributors to this fact, although Nick is still a very surprising case to many.

Fun Facts: Terran - 2
Nick worked in a squad of four thieves/treasure hunters early in his thieving career. They got along pretty well with each other for a few years, although of course they had their occasional disagreements, and each had their own talents to bring to the table.
Nick for instance had always been into magic to a certain extent, and applied what knowledge he did have of magical enchantments and such on his missions, generally to identify magic-based protections for loot and such. One day, they accepted a mission, that ended up being a little too hot to handle, and Nick lost an eye in a fight with the guards.
Thankfully for Nick, he was able to get some special medical attention courtesy of Phenix, who along with his parents, put together a cybernetic eye, that looked convincingly like his other eye with a contact lense, and put it together for him. Nick and his former squad separated on as amicable terms as you might expect, and they still keep in touch from time to time.”
Phenix’s Notes: “Oh yeah mate, this guy was quite the crazy case when we brought him in, and I mean.. You might think we’re crazy for having helped out a thief, but me and my friends saw the potential in him to be helpful to the community, and we weren’t wrong.”

Fun Facts: Mobian - 1
Both Nack and Nick, along with their jobs saving the world as the independent little squad that they are, also both affiliate themselves with a bounty hunting guild. The guild, along with being a get-together for bounty hunters of all sorts, as one might expect, also has an affinity for technology, having a lot of tools and gadgets to assist their hunters in accomplishing their missions.
Additionally, the two weasel brothers’ father runs the guild, and their mother is one of the top bounty hunters of the entire organization. The guild tailors/armorers are also partly responsible for making Goldie and Nick’s fancy Defenders outfits!
Alpheus’ Thoughts: “Heh, yeah, these guys are pretty cool. Did ya’ know a lot of Nack and Nick’s ancestors were involved with the guild in some form or fashion? Oh yeah, the Bounty Hunter’s Guild goes way back, further back than you think!

Fun Facts: Terran and Mobian - 1
((Did ya’ miss me? what can I say? I’ve just been on the other blogs, lol))
Terra and Mobius both exist in the same multiverse in my canon, and while Mobius is probably unaware of Terra’s existence, aside from possibly some gods, or certain mystical artifacts, Terra is aware of Mobius’ existence.
..Well, this is half true. Video games and media as we know them in the real world, exist on Terra, with obviously their own share of media that we just wouldn’t understand. This means that Sonic the Hedgehog as a franchise for instance, exists on Terra, and is well known to millions.
This confers to Terrans traveling to Mobius at least a bit of knowledge about what they’re getting themselves into, but only what they and we know as canon. Anything outside of canon is sure to throw them for a loop more so than usual, and just the sheer novelty of other worlds existing and actually being there would probably be a lot to take in.
Phenix’s Notes: Bloody hell, so you’re telling me Sonic’s world is actually real? Truly mind-blowing. Y’know, this portal project was a major failure the first time, but now that I’ve taken this whole other approach to it, this could be huge. I wonder what other worlds are out there! ..A shame about the power draw though.

Fun Facts: Terran - 1
Underneath the cyberpunk city where Roderock the Fisher Cat resides, which itself is on top of a mountain range, lies a whole underground society of Terrans! It has, among other things, a rail-line to get people through the mountain range quickly to the other side, and an elevator leading all the way up to the cyberpunk city! Naturally occurring geothermal energy is converted to electricity, which is the predominant power source of the region.
Problems? A lot of areas within the region are abandoned, or are just not well lit, which results and ghosts and demons being a common sight in the area, haunting those who cross paths with them.
Phenix’s Notes: “Oh yeah mate, that place is bloody crazy! To think, a whole big city like that, under the ground?! I bet you’re thinking a place like that is a hotbed for ghosts, and unfortunately, you’re not wrong thinkin’ that. Still though, truly amazing.”

Character Profiles: Alpheus the Coyote
Name: Alpheus the Coyote
'Verse: Terran
Alignment: Chaotic-Neutral
"Aw... What? You say you're upset because I wrote on to the character profile? Hahahaha!! It's my own character profile! Besides, whadda' ya' gonna do about it? :^)"
The best was truly saved for last, or at least that's what this coyote would have you believe. With an ego that could stretch between Terra and one of its moons, this coyote seems like he's just a pushover with a motorbike. but his ego isn't all bluster.
This coyote considers himself a god of thunder -- a not-so-subtle nod to his spiritual predecessor, and although he definitely isn't /that/, he knows more about lightning magic than the average coyote thanks to Thalenor and others. His hammer, although not quite capable of pulling the same sort of tricks as seen in the movies, channels and amplifies his lightning magic, and Alpheus is very effective using it as a melee weapon.
As the leader of a biker gang, he's also had a custom-made superbike created just for him. The vehicle is a truly fearsome beast in its own rite, with powerful electric motors helping it attain speeds rivaling the fastest hypercars, while having the turning capability of Formula 1 vehicles, courtesy of gravity manipulators and powerful electromagnets, to simultaneously both pull the bike away from, and towards the ground in just the right places to achieve that effect. Truly a sight to behold!
Alpheus' leather jacket also has armor plating built into it, as well as a pair of goggles, also crafted by Phenix, and with similar function too, except tailored towards the coyote's needs.
Aside from his ego, and being a atypical biker and memelord in areas, personality-wise, Alpheus is pretty reckless most of the time when driving vehicles, and he's pretty useless when it comes to projectile weapons.

Character Profiles: Thalenor the Hawk
Name: Thalenor the Hawk
'Verse: Terran (OC)
Alignment: Lawful-Moral
"If we're being honest, I'm probably the main guy keeping our group of 6 together. You have no idea the sort of magic they've gotten themselves into!"
Indeed, in certain ways, Thalenor is to my group of Terrans, what Alpheus or Nick are to the trio of Mobian characters, in the sense that he's the go-to regarding most-anything magical. And like the hawk said, it's even more important in this case, since Goldie and co. got themselves caught up in angels, demons, and other sorts of magical beings/magic in general!
This hawk, despite being the oldest of the group, shouldn't be written off as a 'boomer', because he still knows quite a bit about modern technology.
That fact might come off as a bit surprising, if you get to know a bit about his life story. This hawk grew up in a forest region of Terra, far away from a lot of modern technology, but after building up his magical talents, and learning how to sustain himself, Thalenor went out of the forest to truly experience the world. It didn't take him long to meet Goldie and the others, and things took off from there! The hawk makes a living by, along with participating with Goldie in his rock band, -- playing the rhythm guitar -- hawking, if you will, his alchemical talents to others, making a lot of money from his wares! Not unreasonably so though.
In combat situations, the hawk tends to apply his potion-crafting skills in appropriate situations, and using powerful elemental magic (Namely earth, wind, water, and fire) in combat, augment-able using a wizard staff that he crafted himself.
Aside from not being the most technologically advanced, Thalenor's main weakness derives from the fact that like the Mobian version of Nick, he is very much a 'squishy wizard'/glass cannon, possibly more so than that weasel.
((I've saved the best nerd for last, lol. At least that's what /he'd/ have you think. Coming soon!))

Character Profiles: Roderock the Fisher Cat
Name: Roderock the Fisher Cat
'Verse: Terran (OC)
Alignment: Social-Good
"What's up? Not gonna cause trouble in my city, are ya? ..I kid, XD I'm willing to show you guys around a bit, if you manage to get here! ..That part is a bit complicated"
Wait... What's that supposed to mean? It makes sense with a bit of explaining, this fisher cat (Don't confuse him with an actual cat, lol) hails from, and helps protect a cyberpunk-themed city on Terra, high up in the mountains. Short of a long, very hard climb, the only way to get there is via a long elevator upwards, hidden inside the mountain range, kept warm mainly by geothermal heat. (Also serving as a direct path through the mountain range)
But anyways, as mentioned, this fisher cat helps protect that high-up city, serving as part of a specialized force of sorts, when the city AI is unable to figure it out, and sending robotic law enforcement is much too blunt of an approach for a given situation. As such, Roderock, and other enforcers similar to him tend to have a lot more sympathy, empathy, and understanding than law enforcement in other regions or worlds (Although different members will have varying degrees of this, as one might expect.)
One might notice this fisher cat's outfit right away. A common sort of configuration for enforcers like him, which is considered power armor, even though it doesn't involve a lot of heavy plating like one might expect. Key gadgets built into it include an armored bracer/robotic hand that doubles as a blaster, and rocket boots with stabilizer jets built into a movable wing on his back. (People have been known to compare his outfit to Mega Man, Ratchet and Clank, and/or Star Fox, which probably isn't incorrect)
Roderock has extra cybernetics/enhancements built into his own body, which can present themselves when needed, (Think Deus Ex) a prominent one being his cybernetic eye, which supplies him with important information, the ability to scan things, and a few vision modes.
For key skills and talents, Roderock knows how to use several energy/plasma weapons, tailored towards dealing with problems non-lethally, Is good at hand-to-hand combat, and is in the rather unique position of engineering his own power armor. (And that of many other enforcers)
As for character downsides, he can be a bit loose regarding his job at times, for better or for worse, and his armor's power cells are somewhat limited in energy capacity, and if they run out, this can deprive the fisher cat and other enforcers of a lot of important gadgets that they need to work effectively.

Character Profiles: Phenix the Arctic Fox
Taken from my Twitter profile:
Name: Phenix the Arctic Fox
'Verse: Terran (OC)
Alignment: Neutral-Good
"S'up mate? Y'know, resident super-genius here, main person keeping this group running technologically speaking. Why don't I show ya' some bonkers inventions?"
Well, you heard the guy. Here, we have our super-genius out of the squad of Terrans here. This arctic fox, as one might gather from his coat and other equipment, hails from a steampunk-themed region of Terra, and his profession, if it doesn't involve just inventing things, Phenix can often be seen maintaining and repairing all the gears, pistons, and other such components that keep the city up and running. Well.. If not him, than definitely his family, who he picked up his talents and skills from, along with his independent studies.
As far as strengths go, he's very ineffective in physical combat, so he tends to rely on whatever gadgets he has available, or can invent ahead of time. A couple main examples, that he himself wears, include a pair of goggles with an onboard computer, overlaying information that might prove useful when engineering something. Also, since he's not very skilled with conventional vehicles, the fox wears a pair of rocket boots that he uses to get around quickly. That and, ..well, he's just plain smart. He doesn't fall victim to talking technobabble at people who he knows doesn't understand technology on his level, however, which is a sure benefit in his case. ..Just so long as you can get past his accent, with is some weird crossbreed between British and Australian, with some unusual slang of his own possibly tossed in at times.
As mentioned with Goldie prior, his teleporter is the main reason for the tragopan having the weird powers that he has. The fox swears up and down that it wasn't his fault, but rather some outside force.
He's not wrong about it either.

Character Profiles: Nick the Tragopan
Taken from my Twitter profile:
Name: Nick the Tragopan
'Verse: Terran (Original character)
Alignment: Somewhat Chaotic-Moral
"S'up? You said you there's a treasure out there waiting to be taken? I should warn you, I ain't your run-of-the-mill thief here.” *Smirks*
Most widely known for his prior history working in a band of thieves, and for his parents, in particular his mother, who Nick takes after in terms of profession and skills, this tragopan is your worst nightmare if you're a less-than-honest individual trying to keep valuable artifacts or treasure hidden. Why? He seems like a fairly ordinary thief.
Well for one, he has a cybernetic right eye, picked up from a terrible accident with his former squad that caused them to go their separate ways, and mostly self-taught dark magic skills not unlike what you might see in Dishonored, this tragopan should make those who would do ill, keep their artifacts and treasure held a lot closer to their chests when they sleep.
Thankfully for most, Nick isn't known to pick on the poor and innocent, although anybody corrupt, or otherwise just too big for their britches is definitely in his crosshairs.
Notably, he likes to use his powers to turn his feathers mostly dark blue as camouflage, which he has taken to calling the somewhat inaccurate 'Raven of Darkness'. Aside from that trick, and others conferred by his powers, he also knows how to use a dagger as well as a bow and arrow, as one might expect out of a thief, but he also knows how to ride motorcycles, thanks to the Terran version of Alpheus. (Coming Soon)
As for major weaknesses? Suffice it to say, he can think his missions over a little /too/ much at times, to the point where it gets him or others in trouble, and over-usage of his powers can exhaust him to the point of effective incapacitation.

Character Profiles: Goldie the Tragopan
Here come the fully original characters!!
From my Twitter profile on him:
Name: Goldie the Tragopan
'Verse: Terran (Original universe)
Alignment: Neutral Moral
Contrary to this nerd's character alignment, the tragopan version of Goldie is often similar to his spiritual predecessor, but he's very much still learning the world, still being a teenager, and likes nothing less to explore the world, and please his fans, being the front-man of a rock band between him and several close friends, which covers hard rock and metal music, as well as video game covers.
His weasel predecessor's quirky-ness mostly carries over to the tragopan, and he's highly sociable, largely as a result of pretty much being the social media face of his above mentioned band. He's surprisingly competent at piloting land-based vehicles for his age, but that same factor also constrains him from being too experienced with piloting in general. That's better left to other Terrans in his friend group.
What he can do however, is some basic hand-to-hand combat, as well as using mid-to-lightweight melee weapons, courtesy of his father, who is a freelance warrior/monster hunter. As a result of a teleportation accident, he can perform per-limb shapeshifting, with the forms in question being of demons and angels that he's had encounters with, conferring some of their respective powers, armor, and talents to Goldie on a temporary basis. ((This will be highlighted more probably, some point down the road))
These powers however, are tightly controlled by a belt invented by Phenix the Arctic Fox, which is designed to manage Goldie's forms, keeping them from congealing or going into an uncontrollable state, or other severe theoretical consequences. This can be overridden by Goldie himself temporarily, but doing so results in a rapidly increasing risk of, again, either losing control of his shapeshifting, the forms jamming up, or passing out for a time.
His encounter with light and dark magic also confers the tragopan more minor powers like seeing spirits, and astral projection. Personality-wise, as discussed, he can be quirky, but in particular, is hard to offend and fairly quick to forgive, and can be a bit naive.
As for weaknesses, beyond the constraints to his shapeshifting, Goldie has general inexperience with his powers, only having gotten them a couple years ago, and his naivety can get in the way unless he's with a friend or another character that can help balance that out.

Character Profiles: Alpheus the Weasel
From my Twitter profile on him:
Name: Alpheus the Weasel
'Verse: Mobi/Sonic-verse
Alignment: Social-Good(-ish)
"S'up dude? ...What, you expected a thunder god who acts serious and professional? Oh man, you actually thought that? Dude, you got the wrong universe then!“
Alpheus the Weasel, on his face, seems like a guy that has just a bit of an irrational obsession with lightning, ...and being stuck a few hundred years or so in the past. I mean, plate armor, heavy leather gloves and robes is a thing you can just buy in certain places, right? If you did think this, and you also ignored the funny looking gold markings on his fur, and the Pikachu-like tail, then you don't know the half of what's going on with this guy. Alpheus, you see, is a bona-fide thunder god, immortality and all.
With a home hidden away in the clouds, myriad thunder and lightning-based powers, including but certainly not limited to accelerated reflexes, and being able to teleport and fly at high speeds, the latter assumed to be a result of magnetic force manipulation, this rather silly, but unassuming at first appearance, weasel is a real force to be reckoned with. Other strengths not directly derived from his powers, include being able to summon a hold-able lightning bolt that doubles as both a sword and spear.
His other main skill is hand-to-hand combat. It probably doesn't come as much of a surprise when you consider his magic-accelerated reflexes, but he can give the best fighters a run for their money, not so much maybe in terms of strength, but definitely in terms of sheer speed.
Weaknesses, where they could be expected of a character like this, mainly derive from his memelord, total goofball/unprofessional attitude, and things he simply doesn't know how to operate, namely firearms of any kind, or vehicles, that would likely wind up wrecked if he attempted to use them. (His reflexes would be too fast for the vehicle!) If one does "kill" Alpheus, the victory would be short-lived, for his body would just collapse into magic energy, to fully regenerate itself again within hours to a couple days.
Finally, it should be noted that he is in fact the prime ancestor to Nack and Nick. (Although those two do in fact have "regular" ancestors too)
((Bear in mind this character is probably not balanced well if you decide to RP with him! I wasn't sure how to fully do that while remaining faithful to the fact that ...well... he's a literal thunder god. Be sure to read his headcanon, or this profile thread, before deciding if you still want to plot with him involved. I know some people are more tolerant to that sort of thing than others, so..))

Character Profiles: Nick the Weasel
From my Twitter profile on him:
Name: Nick the Weasel
'Verse: Mobi/Sonic-verse
Alignment: Rebel-Moral
"I know what you're thinking. 'This ain't Harry Potter! Take that wizard stuff off!' Oh... You have no idea.. The outfit is more meaningful than you know."
Being the somewhat edgier version of his brother Nack, Nick has a tendency to dispatch threats to the planet, and his brother, with greater ferocity than his counterpart. He actually has several means of fighting too.
For one, his wizard outfit isn't just for show. Along with conferring a basic level of physical protection, having a mainly leather composition, it symbolizes the fact that he has a significantly higher level of control over lightning magic compared to his brother. And unlike Nack, he very much likes to use that magic often. (He also has a wizard staff that amplifies those powers) If it's not that, he also covers for his brother in the sense that he's pretty well experienced with using all but the heaviest firearms. Sounds like a truly fearsome character, right? He can be, but in spite of his more serious nature out of the two brothers, he can still be pretty cool if you get to know him well. How can you go wrong with someone who knows how to pilot hoverbikes and motorcycles?
In spite of his strengths, he does still have some major weaknesses. For one, he can be a bit /too/ serious or edgy occasionally, which can get him in trouble. Additionally, he can be a bit too quick to take on challenges that might be too difficult even for him. Also, as expected, he can have a tendency to use his magic a bit too much, even when alternatives would make more sense. And finally, as one might expect for someone who dresses in that sort of garb, he's a bit of a glass cannon. Nick's firearm skills, and his efficiency in fighting physically with his staff are pretty much the only things that save him from being considered a squishy wizard.
