I'm not quiet about being trans and participating in the fight for trans rights, so let's talk about college.
Being trans, especially non binary, can actually make it harder to get into college. Some schools genuinely don't recognize non binary as an existing gender and will simply deny the student instead of considering how they should improve their systems. Along with that, single-sex or religious schools especially express that they do not want queer/trans students attending, and I've even personally seen schools that actively denounce or oppose being queer as a whole. This makes it significantly harder for the members of the community who are religious to continue their faith in a religious school.
Even if a trans person does get accepted, safety becomes an issue. According to UCLA's website, in a survey of over 27,000 trans adults, 24% said they were harassed, be it verbally, physically, or sexually. That is horrifying. That is over 6,480 people. These people also face high rates of bullying, even from teachers, who are meant to be authority figures and role models.
Let's add to this lovely stew with debt. It's no secret that college is expensive, that's its own problem. On top of that, though, many trans people have to deal with lack of funding from family that may have disowned them, or the worry that they won't be able to afford HRT or surgery in the future to help alleviate dysphoria. That shouldn't have to be a luxury.
But wait, there's more! According to Lambda Legal, many schools don't acknowledge a student's preferred gender identity. They will be placed in the dorms assigned with their sex from birth, made to use locker rooms they aren't comfortable in, and required to use the restroom assigned to their gender at birth. They make it difficult and sometimes impossible to change your gender on your student ID and in their systems, and some don't even use preferred names, leading to deadnaming from teachers and staff, and by extension, fellow students.
Now, of course, things are better than they used to be. But settling for better never made any progress. Think of it like baking. Your first cookies came out way too salty, so you halved the amount you put in. They're less salty now, sure, but it's still too much salt. Don't settle for 'less salty', keep improving your recipe. We shouldn't have to settle for "at least we have more rights than we did in the 50s". Of course we do. We have better medicine, better women's rights, and better computers too! We shouldn't just settle though. We should keep fighting, we should make it so people in the future can look back and say "we're doing much better than how we were doing in the 2020s". Don't just give up because things are "better".

I have a hot take that I need to get out there.
I've seen some books about being queer, some marketed to the LGBTQ+ community and some marketed towards allies, and I have to say it. Most of them come off really condescending to cishet people.
My family member bought "A guide to gender" for example, and it reads so patronizing. The first word in the entire book is 'Atennnnnshun!' I'm sure this appeals to some people, but I have yet to read one that isn't written like a blog post or like it's written for children.
Do any of yall have recommendations? Because the middle aged adults need books too. Some of the boomers want to understand!

flower language has always been an intense source of disappointment for me
like, they all mean really generic things like “love” or “forever” or “i’m sorry”
i thought you could combine flowers
like you could just send someone a bouquet and from the combination of hibiscus and posies and tulips they’d understand “the rebel leader is dead, rendezvous at the docks at 8, bring the dog, you will need lighter fluid and  a large tomato”

im tired of trans men/mascs always having to make themselves smaller for the sake of not being berated by both the queer 'community' and cishet folk alike.
oh, your name is bug, you like big eyeliner and dyed hair, kandi, and use he/they? you're too trans, you're embarrassing the community.
you're stealth? you exclusively want to dress and present male? you don't want anyone to know your trans? what are you, ashamed of yourself? do you hate other queers? you need to out yourself to make fem people feel safe!
you're a trans boy but you like pink, frills and dresses, your hair is long and you don't bind? faker. you're making the whole community look bad. you are not actually trans.
you want to take testosterone, get jacked, shave your head and grow a beard? you are making women uncomfortable, you can't call yourself a trans man anymore bcs you pass too well, you aren't welcomed in this community.
see, see how there is never any winning? and still, i come online everyday and see trans people infighting, all of these things are said by both cis transphobes and actual people who call themselves transgender. just stop it. whoever you are, be proud, take up space, and especially make room for other trans people who are different than you. being a transmed or whatever is doing just as much help for both the trans community and yourselves as, like, the trump administration has.

One of my favorite things to write is gods or ethereal beings, so here's my take on that.
I personally don't think gods would appear humanoid in their true forms. If they're meant to be perfect beings, they would probably appear animalistic almost. They would probably have traits that maximized efficiency, like being quadrupedal to minimize joint strain, while having separate limbs for hands and opposable thumbs. Wings for flying and eyes closer to the sides of their head for seeing all around them.
This is obviously if your gods are not like ascended humans, but separate beings altogether.
Of course, if you want your gods to be humanoid or conventionally attractive, be my guest. This is just my take on what a "perfect" god would look like.
