Hi ya all new and old followers. This has been kinda strange and stressful spring but at least now my uni courses are nearing end and things are starting to calm down. That means that I want to return here and start posting again (I already have some doodles and sketches ✨).

I actually could have been more active but blegh I noticed that I felt like I constantly needed to do more art, better art, be more active, be a better gm in The Butcherbirds (my eso guild) and… boy was it stressful. Not because of you guys; I have some amazing and friendly followers. I just wanted to answer to that friendliness with more than I could :’) Skrimcats began when I started posting my doodles that I drew while my friends played Skyrim. I want to return to that: creating content without the pressure to impress others and insted do things I enjoy and show them to other people because they might enjoy them too! (I won’t be posting only stick figures from now on, I still love to paint and do other art as well. I just want that whatever I do for free on my free time is also fun and relaxing).

BUT since my online presence wasn’t the only stressful thing I had going on, uni ending for this spring also eases things up. That’s why I’m also planning to open commissions later this month! So stay tuned for that info post if you wanna help me pay my groceries.

And for those eso players that have been interested in The Butcherbirds: a proper rp guild some of the members were expecting was a bit too much for me to handle alone (or even with my sister). The guild is not going anywhere, just changed the focus from rp to social. More info about that in eso guild page. So if anyone was intimidated by the roleplay aspect but wants some casual company in eso, check them out now :D

Hey! @pommers here (or sosje on tumblr, this is my 2nd blog), I wanted to let my guildies know that I'm inactive for the time being cause my pc is too broken to play ESO rn :[ I won't be able to fix it for a while, but hopefully within the next 3 months. We played together once for a daily dungeon (I was the inexperienced healer) and I had so much fun! Hopefully we can do it again someday 💜

Making a quick appearance here to finally answer and say no worries! And as a note to you all I think you might have noticed but yep I have had kind of a lot to do and lately and when I have had breaks I’ve been exhausted :’D So hopefully more activity during summer (in guild and tumblr both skrimcats and this) but for now the guild has been changed to casual as I don’t have as much resources to manage this as I hoped. Backstory: Skippy comes from a merchant family who used to travel around a lot, so she’s seen and been to many places. She wasn’t particularly keen on becoming a merchant herself (she’d probably have preferred some sort of mercenary / bounty hunting work, but hadn’t gotten around to pursue that yet). Around ten years ago, she met Virva while on a trip to Reaper’s March with her family, and they became friends. Skippy later decided to leave home for good and become a professional adventurer after she and Virva agreed to start traveling together. They eventually ended up in Stros M’Kai, where they also met Hilja. Having practiced the noble trade of piracy with the pirates of the Spearhead for a while, the three of them decided to start a crew of their own, and became the Butcherbirds.

Description: Fairly tall for a Bosmer. Red dreadlocks down to her shoulders/upper back. Curved antlers. Through her left cheek down to her lips runs an old, long scar which most likely doesn’t have a dramatic story behind it. Prefers lightweight looking outfits and armor: especially shoes that don’t cover toes and heels, as well as sleeveless tops that show her tattooed arms.

Personality & stuff

General description: Virva’s laid-back and she just wants everyone to have a good time. Energetic and curious, she’s always willing to make new acquaintances, and she goes out her way to make people feel welcome. Enjoys paying attention to the other crew members’ undertakings and supporting them. Makes sure to appear just irresponsible enough not to get caught being a mom friend, though. Also an adrenaline junkie; likes to live on the edge. Outgoing as she is, she can be a bit mysterious. Values her privacy and independence. You probably feel like you know her a bit better than actually you do.

(Doesn’t want to bother innocent people, though, but you probably have to be sick, poor, or a proven Cool Person to count as innocent.) Virva grew up with fairly traditional Bosmers somewhere in Grahtwood, learning that great thieving skills are to be proud of. The more infamous the Butcherbirds become, the better.

Unless he’s napping. Being a cheerleader consumes lots of energy, and he’s an especially tiny lad.)

Backstory: So far, Virva’s spent most of her life in Valenwood, practicing thieving and trying not to set everything on fire. She always thought she’s a bit odd for a Bosmer due to her affinity to fire, but not really in a grieving way—more like she just found it amusing (as long as she didn’t accidentally set things on fire). She enjoyed traveling around Valenwood, but the more she roamed, the greater the urge to see more of the world became. She met Skippy around ten years ago in Reaper’s March. They enjoyed each other’s company and later decided they totally could and should travel anywhere together. They eventually ended up in Stros M’Kai, where they also met Hilja and did some jobs for the pirates of the Spearhead with her. Having practiced piracy for a while, the three of them were so enchanted by its prospects that they decided to start a crew of their own, and so the Butcherbirds were born.

Morality: She claims to be a ruthless pirate but she hasn’t ever robbed poor or beggars or plundered temples. But if you aren’t helpless she doesn’t mind fighting and/or killing you.

Preferred theft: Empties safeboxes and treasure chests. “Pickpockets” by threatening people to give their purses and valuables. Sometimes on the street, sometimes in their very own houses. Doesn’t always end up prettily. Doesn’t bother her.

Weapon(s) of choice: Dual wields swords (and axes). Sometimes uses sword and shield

Favored magic / spells / etc.: Healing and wards come naturally to her so piracy might not be what her parents wished she would end up doing. However, her spells keep those closest to her alive and that’s what matters to her.

Hobbies / Crafts: Likes to pass time during long sea journeys by crafting all kinds of wood and metal weapons and trinkets. Dwarven automatons fascinate her but not that much that she would make a profession out of it.

Place of birth: Lower Yorgrim, Skyrim

Backstory: She grew up in the small Nord fishing village near Windhelm. Her early life wasn’t particularly interesting expect for few occasional hunting trips to the plains of Aalto. The quiet life came to an end when the village was destroyed by giants. After initial shock she decided to see it as an opportunity to see world outside of Skyrim and so she jumped on a first ship in Windhelm’s harbor. That ship took her to the warm sands of Stros M’kai where she met Virva and Skippy. Hilja was looking for fortune, they both were looking for adventure. As a result, they ended up as pirates and started to gather their own crew.
