Straight up did not realize u could do color zentangle until I looked at other people's stuff. After completing project I'm sticking to black and white for a WEEK tho, too much color picking.

I'm working on an original thing right now because I live in the US and I'm trying to give myself a little bit of peace before I come to terms with the fact that I'm going to lose several of my rights, probably including the ability to marry my best friend.

I'm calling it the Dragon Mailman story even though that's like, barely related to what the story is about. Premise is: demon ate the sun >900 years ago. Most people have forgotten what the sun is. Evil eldritch monsters live in the darkness and WILL eat you. Much of civilization is destroyed, along with most historical records. Some dragons are (often) platonic soulmates with humans -> dragon riders. Our MC carries letters around because he wants people to Leave Him Alone and/but he is also soul-bonded to a MASSIVE carnivore that needs to eat. They find a child. People are looking for this child to fight the demon and make it spit out the sun (<- needs more thought, but also contains spoilers). I have given this a total of twelve hours of thought, and u get it directly from my brain. Congrats.

MORE RELEVANTLY there is a small green dragon. He annoyed me so much I decided to name him Lettuce (small, green, lots of frills) out of revenge. He's also the babysitter and servant of a demon. He's literally the Devil's Lettuce. I named a character marijuana by accident and by god I am going to milk this for all it's worth.

I have ANOTHER fic idea (on top of the ones that Don't Officially Exist Yet, and Possibly Never Will, and that one DP fic lurking in the background). You know how there's like, a storyline where Tim becomes Evil Future Tim? I have not read it yet, but I am a SUCKER for the inherent tragedy of inevitability, of a good character slowly beginning to sink (FHW/MWH does this in a lighter sense). The progression of a character who isn't only 'good' by nature, but makes a real effort to do the right thing, into a utilitarian dictator is making me rub my little racoon hands together with glee. Mostly because it would probably end with him dying. Full circle, etc. Ooh, or younger-him killing older-him? It would preserve the timeline, and create a cyclical nature/sense of inevitability in the narrative. I'll have to think about it more. That would be a Theme™ and those need continuity and consideration.

It'd be a story where you know where it ends when you start reading. I want to see a Tim who tried *so hard* to avoid this ending, and ultimately chose it anyway. I'd have to think about WHY and HOW though. Core Four included, of course. Nothing hits quite as hard as trying to walk into hell by yourself and looking back only to see your friends have formed a goddamn daisy chain and followed you when you weren't looking. Loyalty in here is a curse and a blessing. If this sounds dramatic, it is because I am dramatic, and also quite sick and a little out of it right now.

I made this alphabet myself and then translated the rings into it. I then counted the number of letters and separated them into equal numbers, and then split those sections into 2-6 letter sections. I then partitioned each ring to the proper amount of sections and then wrote it in pencil. I then went over it in pen. I then erased the pencil. I then spent 2 hours+ attempting to put it on a clean sheet of paper while using a monitor on its side as a light board. Without making mistakes.

It was a process.

I successfully got my friend (@vagorsol) to read an entertaining and questionable book and I just heard them slam their hand on the ground and scream WHAT IS WRONG WITH THESE BITCHES?!

The Death fic I was writing was supposed to be 1-2 chapters, 20k TOPS. It has eleven chapters, 94k, and the sequel is going to be 11 chapters and probably also around 90k. The other thing I'm working on (affectionately known as Timebomb) was supposed to be 40k and is now a five work series, the first of which is around 60k. EST is somewhere around 200-400k.

NO ONE I KNOW is letting me live me live this down, and it's leeching into my other works like arsenic.
