Did a tarot session to try to discover more about this mysterious deity (possibly Lucifer). Learned a few things:
- They seem to identify with Lucifer in some way, whether they actually are him or not
- They don't reject the label of 'The Devil', but also consider themself as something more than it, and reject being pushed into one box
- They consider themself enlightened and a source of new beginnings. They exude wisdom and clarity, and are associated with change, breaking free, and challenging authority. They are possibly also associated with moral ambiguity(?)
- They want to help guide me on a journey through personal transformation, overcome internal conflicts, and help me gain confidence
- They are possibly associated with pain, betrayal, or rejection
- Their domain is associated with or symbolises freedom, rebellion, and overcoming trials
- They believe I am 'ready' for the next stage of my life and that I am in a good place to begin a new chapter. They view me as someone in need of guidance
All in all, it was a very interesting session. I'm honestly quite excited (and a bit nervous) to work with them.
Any input from those who work with Lucifer, or with a deity who sounds similar to this one would be very appreciated!!

I've been feeling like a deity is trying to reach out to me. I tried doing a tarot spread to identify the deity and The Devil fell out of the deck, facing up, as I was shuffling. My original thought went to Lucifer but I wasn't sure what to think so I placed it back inside. The actual spread was a bit muddled but I think it was mostly my fault since my mind was wandering and I wasn't focused.
After that, I took a break, came back to it and decided to ask certain deities. I asked Aengus (who I have been working with a lot recently) if he was there - the card was Death (no). Asked Odin (another God I work with a lot) if it was him - the card was Death again.
I asked Lucifer if it was him to see if my hunch was potentially correct, pulled The World.
I don't know how to interpret that or what to think. I've never worshipped or worked with Lucifer before and the thought of Lucifer potentially reaching out or of reaching out to him makes me a bit nervous to be honest. I wouldn't know where to start. Can anyone help?

Angus Óg/Aengus
A guide
I've decided to write a little profile and deity guide on some of my Gods for anyone who might want more information or want to work with/worship them. So I've decided to start with Aengus :)
Disclaimer: Aengus is found in both Irish and Scottish paganism as both religions overlap greatly (Scottish Paganism originated from the Irish). I'm Scottish, so this will mostly be tailored towards Scottish Paganism and my understanding of Angus Óg as a Scottish pagan.
Not much is known about Celtic Gods as a whole in the modern day and things are very muddled, so there will be different understandings/interpretations of the Gods.
This is from my own experience working with him as well as research.
Tumblr media
Angus Óg is the Irish & Scottish Celtic God associated with love, youth, beauty, poetry, and life.
In Scottish Folklore he is the son of Beira. Bride is often depicted as his lover.
Other names: Aengus, Aonghas, Óengus
Symbols/Associations: Harps, white birds, roses, rose quartz, rubies, a white horse
Planet Association: Venus
Season: Summer
Colours: Green, red, pink, gold
Offerings: Wine, roses (and other flowers), apples, feathers, honey, rose quartz
Devotional Acts:
Writing poetry or songs (especially about love)
Spending time with loved ones
Acts of kindness
Making drawings/paintings/artwork of him or related to him
Planting flowers/gardening
Having a self care day/night
Taking a meditative bath
Listening to music, especially love songs
Honouring Bride and Spring
My Experience: From my experience, Angus Óg is very open. He is quite playful yet patient. He seems happy when I create art for him and is always really kind and encouraging about it. He feels full of energy and wisdom and likes hearing about all my little crushes and speaking about relationships. He is intelligent and well-spoken and likes you to take care of yourself and your loved ones. His presence is gentle and soft, yet radiant.
I've found he is a really good deity for beginners and would recommend reaching out to him if you're interested in Celtic Paganism!

Something I really need pagans to understand is that bad apples in the pagan community ARE our and your responsibility.
You can’t just look sideways at racism and fascism in the pagan community because “they aren’t real pagans.”
We are the only community who seems to get away with that bullshit and I’m tired of it, Muslims as a whole get held responsible for the actions of extremists, Christians as a whole get held responsible for the actions of mega conservatives, Hindus as a whole get held responsible for the actions of Hindu Nationalists ect. ect.
Yet whenever someone rightly calls pagans out on effectively ignoring the vile racists, abelists, sexists and fucking NEO NAZIS in our communities people jump on them saying the same old “they aren’t really pagan” excuse.
Say it with me kids, someone being a terrible person doesn’t delegitimise their faith!
Y’all get soooo mad whenever Christians do this but turn around and do the exact same thing and wonder why people draw comparisons between pagans and Christians.
Also a side ramble but there is this weird perception that right wing pagans all became pagan post right wing radicalisation but that is absolutely not true. There are so many right wing pagans because we’ve allowed literal fascists to run around unchecked in our communities (it’s especially bad on tiktok) and then completely shun the people who they manage to indoctrinate instead of realising that maybe this is a systematic problem and that we should be introducing community wide education and condemnation to deal with this issue.

Introduction Post!
Hey, I'm Nim, I'm 18 and I'm a Scottish lesbian witch. I practice eclectic polytheism, although I mostly focus on Norse and Celtic religion.
This is going to be a little blog about witchcraft, as well as a spiritual diary and grimoire. I'd also love to find some other witch and Pagan friends/mutuals!! (Pls interact)
Some of my primary deities I worship are:
- Odin
- Idun
- Skadi
- Aengus Óg
- Beira, the Cailleach (Queen of Winter)
- Amun-Ra
I'm also a huge fan of Arthurian legend (it's a special interest). I love horror movies, alternative music, and video gaming, but I won't post about those here.
Anyway, that's all <3
