Hello to all the Tumblr weirdos! My name is Atlas Skov (They/He), and this is my sideblog where I post about my religion (HelPol) post digital offerings and prayers, and just in general have a space to talk about this stuff since no one irl really understands when I talk about it.

A few facts about me =3

● I consider myself dual faith and worship both norse and hellenic polytheism

○I worship a whole lot of gods, so many that it's a wonder I'm not overwhelmed

●I love all forms of divination! It's actually my special interest, and I'm constantly learning new methods

○I have been a Hellenic Polytheist for 4(?) Years now

●I'm currently learning Greek as a devotional act to a few of the gods

○I have never felt happier than when I'm praying and worshipping

Just some things for fellow Americans to keep in mind. Lock down your social media accounts now, and if you’re an adult make sure you purge anything that could make you a target of accusations by the alt right agenda, unless you have a plan to deal with that. They plan to crack down on pornography and any LGBTQIA+ content is being classified as such. If you are able, secure a passport. Keep in mind that children require both custodial parents consent to get a US passport, and the card can only be used for land crossings. Carry your birth certificate and/or citizen paperwork and/or visa paperwork on your person at all times; last time Trump was in office ICE was detaining and deporting even US citizens who didn’t have their documents on their person. Many states with legal abortion have extra OBGYN providers right now, so that is a decent option for if you are in need of permanent birth control, in case they ban contraceptives. If you are trans, begin applying for jobs and schools in safer countries if you’re able, because it is looking like things are going to get much worse for us. If you regularly use services like Amazon that have a large amount of imports, account that there will be across the board price rises on that platform once the tariffs are enacted, so especially if you’re reliant on Amazon for essentials, stock up. There is also potential that they’re going to try to ban several medications to enact their contraceptive ban, so stock up on your medications. Some doctors will give you extra hrt too, because they understand we are going to be targeted. Stay safe everyone, and get prepared. We will get through this by taking care of one another.

Sometimes I feel like I’m not really trying hard enough with it all. I can’t handle real candles because of my asthma and insane amount of lung infections, so I often feel like the gods are disappointed that they can’t get those colourful fancy candles.

I know it’s not true, but I’ve always felt like my disabilities dictate my life, I just really hate that they’re dictating my worship too.

A prayer for Aphrodite

“O beautiful Aphrodite Ura’nia.

She who teaches me about love.

Not just the kind you have towards spouses.

But the kind you have towards friends and family.

I hope you feel as heavenly as you look.

Because when I look at you, I see all that I wish to be.

Not only pretty and kind, but happy in my body and soul.

You teach me things I wish I had learned earlier in life.

Therefore I will thank you for your lessons and give this prayer as an offering, so you one day will help me be as confident and luxurious as you.

I wish you well in life.”

A prayer for Apollo

“Lord Apollo, the brightest god.

He who teaches me to shine bright.

The far shooting god.

He who teaches me to work for my goals.

The healing god.

He who teaches me to heal my invisible scars.

I wish I could worship and honour you better, but telling you how much you mean to me is all I can do.

You who protects your kin.

You who represents the sun.

You who is brother to the moon.

You who I wish to embody.

Every time I look at the sun, I am reminded that you are always with me.

Every time I hear an ambulance siren, I smile knowing you are with them.

I wish you the best.”

A prayer for Hestia

“Kind and loving Hestia aïdios.

You who are eternally loved by all.

You teach me kindness and respect.

You teach me patience and understanding of others.

But most importantly you teach me to love myself.

I hope to be as kind to others and myself as you are, one day.

So, Hestia aïdius, I have love and respect for you.

You will be here after I’m gone, and you will wait for me to be reborn, and we will start over again.

So, I love you and I wish you well.”

This was the first prayer I ever wrote, so please be kind but don’t be afraid to correct me if I did anything wrong.
