i live in constant guilt because i have the audacity to complain about my life. my life is filled with things that i take for granted - for instance, the privilege to complain about the guilt that comes with privilege 

i’m a sheltered school girl who tries to not be a spoilt brat and ultimately fails every time. come join me in my pity party.

i keep writing things  and its not a call for help i swear 

its an endless stream of thoughts that have been building up inside me for months now  it feels good to implode

i want to go back to therapy  - but i don’t have a justified excuse to do so 

i live in a purgatory of good enough and failure - here it is beige and tastes like the metallic of an overwhelming threat of a panic attack

i feel so alone and so disconnected from the world around me 

and have come to the realisation that if i were to disappear, it would take days for my friends to notice 

i think i need to invest in becoming more likeable

at family gatherings, the male role was to eat, the female role to serve and clean. 

i remember being an extremely young girl when i began to apologise for interrupting the conversations of the men in my family when i reached across to clear their empty beer bottles

and sometimes i think that all the feminist ideals i currently value are facades that thinly veil my childhood soaked in the patriarchal ideals of a middle eastern family.
