Everyone’s all ready and waiting for Levi to finally talk to Mikasa and reveal his relation to her.

Thing is, I don’t think it’s actually gonna happen.

I think Levi wants to talk to her about it.  They both have an intense need for family, and he knows it.

But he can’t.

Levi is more aware than anyone about losing people, particularly in a time of war.  He’s already lost Isabel and Farlan, his old squad, Hange’s squad, as well as his foster father/uncle Kenny (to say nothing about growing up as an orphan as well). By the looks of it, there’s a good chance he’s about to lose Erwin too, someone he intensely trusts and the man who’s given him guidance for the past 5+ years.

He may not be aware of the extent of it, but he knows Mikasa has also suffered enough.

While he has a ton of confidence in his abilities as ‘Humanity’s Strongest’, he’s also said time and time again that anything can happen.  Even he might be the next one to die.

Would he really subject Mikasa to that all over again?    And without a particularly good reason for her to know about him aside from some sentimentality? 

Emotions can kill in a time of war.

Levi’s a smart guy, and while he’s socially crap he’s empathetic enough to know the kind of effect it would have on her to lose him after finding out that they’re family.  And he can die at any time.

He is just not the kind of guy to do this without a good reason.

I can think of only a few circumstances by which Levi himself would reveal his relation to her:

1)  The war ends, and they finally reach a time of peace, where they have enough security in living that he doesn’t have to be afraid that he’ll end of dying and causing her pain unnecessarily.  There is no risk involved in Mikasa knowing.

2)  His own emotions.  Levi is in a rough place right now, having lost many important people in only the span of a few months.  I don’t think it’s a stretch to say that he could reach a breaking point very soon, which could lead him to make some desperate decisions that he wouldn’t ordinarily, including (but not limited to) revealing himself to Mikasa. This is the scary situation

3)  It’s a strategic decision.  It is hard to imagine a situation where having it known that they are related would be beneficial (that’s awfully specific), so I think the former situations are more likely.  But, again, Levi is a smart and logical guy, so if it were a necessary tactical decision, he’d do it. 

In conclusion, I don’t think Levi is going to reveal his relation to Mikasa, because there is no good reason to.  Most likely scenario, I think she will find out in another way and she will be the one to initiate that conversation.  If Levi does decide to talk to her about it, the circumstances will depend on how his character proceeds and copes from here.

I'm sorry, but I feel like people should be made knowledgeable of this. Shikishima is a piece of shit. Counterpart to Levi? It sounds like horrifying monster Levi. Seductive towards Eren, Mikasa being completely submissive to him, he's a devil figure, with apple imagery. He's the villain. Some people read it as Rivamika? No, don't. Please. D: I just can't stand seeing that kiss any longer.

I know we joke a lot about Levi crushing on Mikasa (due to how he watches her and listens to her and stuff). But imagine Mikasa crushing on Levi, a full-blown crush with all the confusion it entails. Blushing when he compliments her, uncomfortable feelings of lust when she happens to see him shirtless, the sudden fluttering in her stomach when their hands touch. Just… Mikasa hardcore crushing on Levi. I just really want Mikasa to experience such a normal thing.

What she means: Everything is beautiful and nothing hurts because there is an official version of SnK (no matter how alternate) where Levi and Mikasa kiss and no one will ever be able to take that moment from me.

The Kiss

So, I saw some people trying to discredit the kiss by claiming that it was forced on Mikasa. I’m quite sensitive about things like that so I did my best to analyze the context-less half-second we got.

Frame by frame, we’ve got Shikishima with his hand on Mikasa’s nape. The head tilt on both sides. They’re leaning ever closer and Mikasa’s eyes start to close. At the moment their lips touch, she closes her eyes completely.

Now, I know that the anecdotal evidence isn’t worth much but that one time a guy tried to kiss me without my consent, my eyes got fucking wide in surprise and I pushed him away the moment he started leaning in. Actually, in every scene from various shows/movies where an unwanted kiss happened, the kissed party usually had their eyes wide open. I don’t see that happening in here. All in all, that kiss looks pretty consensual to me.

You know what that moment actually reminds me of? A goodbye kiss. Like he is going to go away - a different mission than her or something - and this is their parting. You know, I kind of like that. So until proven otherwise, I’m going to believe that Shikishima and Mikasa are in an actual relationship in the movie and this is their routine goodbye before assignments. Please, let this be true.

Go read some nice fanfics, re-read the manga, talk about how much you love your ship, check how many  fanarts you can find in tumblr and deviantart and stop being rude. I don’t care if my ship become canon or not, Isayama could kill them all next chapter. I don’t care about your ships, I have plenty, as a matter of fact I have an armada. I’m a proud multi Mikasa shipper.
