satoru said while extending his hand above his head, trying to catch a falling speck of snow. his companion—suguru—could only chuckle softly.

"it is, huh? can you tell me..." suguru trailed off, chewing on his bottom lip before continuing.

"can you tell me about it?"

"...yeah, there's snow everywhere. it's funny."

"so you think,"

"mhm...it's a weird thing to consider. snow in august? haha," a laugh from the albino.

"...hey, suguru?"

"yeah?"

"thank you for spending another winter with me. i hope to spend more winters with you."

"me too."

"i'm sleepy."

"you are?"

"yeah, can we sleep now? let's have fun again tomorrow."

"...not yet, let's stay up a bit more."

"oh, okay."

"..."

"...don't leave me yet, satoru."

there was no snow.

it was a warm evening, yet suguru felt cold.

the condition had messed with satoru's mind already.

it wasn't snowing; he was hallucinating. given that, suguru knew that he had limited time left with his partner.

he pulled satoru closer, trying to keep his tears from falling, his voice kept from cracking.

with a final plea, he placed a gentle kiss on satoru's forehead.

"...stay with me for a minute longer, please."
