Merida rubbed her wrists once unrestrained. Her mother had once threatened her with a pair of shackles for fidgeting one too many times when she was younger, but this was the first time she ever experienced what it was like to be bound and she didn’t wish to experience it again no matter how brief it was.

“I’m Be’er.” She said, she couldn’t say she was well, still disorientated and confused, the air here was thicker, everything smelled and felt different, she was certain she wasn’t on her father’s land anymore.

“Emma,” She said, “I’m Merida, o’ Clan DunBroch.” She introduced with just a hint of a question on the name. She hoped that by including her clan this Emma might recognize it and perhaps shed some light on her situation, the hope was small, this woman’s accent was entirely foreign to her ears, she’d never heard anything like it. “So you’re not a mad witch then?”

"I'm sorry I bit you... and pulled your hair... and punched you in the face."

“You don’t exactly look sorry,” Emma muttered, her eyes focused on the redhead as she rubbed her rather sore jaw. The attack hadn’t been completely unprovoked - suddenly turning up like she had would have surprised anyone. But to get so carried away… “Jeez, does everyone you run into get treated like that? Or am I special?” 

She sighed, rolling her eyes and dropping her hand back to her side. Right. If she carried on like this, the pair would be at odds again. Emma wasn’t looking for a fight. “It’s… Well, it’s not fine, but it’s in the past. Let’s just not have it happen again.”

It was just a good thing the fiery ginger didn’t have her sword or bow on her when the blonde woman showed up, as disoriented and in shock as Merida was, things could have gotten a little worse than a mere tussle if she were fully armed.

 “Now, can you take these shackles off o’ me?” She said earnestly, followed by a minor bouncing motion of her arms, “I promise I won’ attack you again.”
