every so often i think about the time i was possessed my marlene mckinnon’s ghost. like i was watching a dance presentation, in front of me sat my friend and besides him sat his father. the presentation was amazing and there was a dance where my friend’s mum was part of. so i tapped him and said “im marrying your mum” (which is kind of a running joke among our friend group) but this time instead of getting defensive he just shrugged and said “well, ask him (points to his father) about it” and so, with no hesitation whatsoever, i turn to this middle aged man — bulky and wearing a small ponytail looking all punk — and said “can i marry your wife?” and he looked me dead in the eye and laughed and said “no”
