if your stomach’s sensitive because of anxiety, by all means spread out the food you eat over the course of the day instead of having large meals, just don’t…not eat. you will go into hypoglycemic shock and that will suck.

have you ever given advise/do you have advise on drawing muscular arms? that shit has somehow eluded me so long, and you are very good at it. how i draw bending bump log
VERY IMPORTANT to include the middle section between the biceps (blue) and triceps (green). for years I never included that third section, but it’s very important part of the arms that you should still try to include.
when the arm lifts like that, the deltoids (shoulders) get pushed to the back, actually. So that’s why you see less red here.
I’m NOT a master of anatomy, so don’t think that what I illustrated is the end-all be-all. I just drew what I know, and I hope this helps you! I divided the muscle groups by color, and I also outlined energy flow in pink, outside the arms.

A quick guide I made for clean up artists joining Studio Yotta. So I figured: why not share this with everyone!
These are only 9 of the 20 pages, so I put up the full PDF for free :D! Just type in “0″ here. Dropbox can be be finicky, so I looked for a different free uploading website. Anyway, enjoy! :)

Here it is, my long winded tutorial, complete with some step by step action. I see a lot of people talk about wanting to diversify their artwork but not knowing how. This is my help to you. You really should take the time to invest in learning diverse eye shapes as diverse artwork always makes you a better artist. And frankly I’m really tired of drawing tutorials that talk up character diversity but only have the stereotypical “one Asian eye”.
I did some step by steps for those three diagrams, but I actually got them from this blog which has 14 of those examples! (Bonus: it’s a makeup blog so if you need help with that or want some idea of how to shade these eyes, there ya go)

uuu thank u anon!! i hope this can explain it :^o
i use overlay all the time to make colours more vibrant and to make areas warmer or cooler. good for colourful ambient light (like glowy magic stuff).
multiply is really good for establishing a light source very quickly!! play around with the hue to get shadows with cool colours. for more detailed work you can use two or three tones on a multiply layer for more dimension.
screen is something i only recently started using regularly! it’s really great if you have a very bright light source. you can also use screen and paint on the edges of a backlit character to make the lighting more intense. a good thing to know about screen layers is that the darker the colour you use, the less it lightens; using black on a screen layer leaves no effect on the colours underneath (the opposite is true for multiply layers!).
and you can also use these layers for an entire painting instead of just on a character! i don’t have a visual example on hand, but stuff like making the area around a warm light source warmer, making a light source brighter and more vibrant, or using gradients set on multiply or screen are just some of the ways you can apply these to a full painting :)
