A little snippet from my amnesia fic

It starts with a call. The first sign that somethings is wrong is when Iris Blake of all people calls him. TK obviously doesn't have her number, never would have answered it if he knew it was her, but as soon as he recognizes her voice he hangs up on her, mid-sentence and all, and blocks her. He turns his phone off as well, not wanting to be a part of whatever drama is happening in Austin this time. And it’s not that he hate Iris Blake, he doesn’t. She is just so nasty with her words made of poison – in a way that makes interacting with her horrible to his mental health and triggers him. All he wants is for her to stay far away from his life. “Everything is fine, TK?” Captain Regina Miller ruffs his hair, always perceptive and TK loves her for it. “Eh, just an old ghost” He gives her a cat-like smile.

One thing thats frustrates me is that people still haven’t quite forgived TK for breaking up with Carlos, even though he had reason to feel upset. I know Carlos had good intentions and was trying to be sweet, but you just don’t buy a loft and put your partner in the lease without talking to them first. TK was wrong to run, but he did have reasons to be bothered. It was kinda of a “sweet power move”.

People sitill haven’t quite forgived TK for running from that dinner, even though he was still recovering from na traumatic break up. Again, he should have communicated with Carlos, but he did have the right to draw boundaries.

But no one holds Carlos accountable for hiding a marriage.

(In fact, it seems that a lot of people just pretend that this storyline never happened)

And once you realize that Carlos hiding secrets is a pattern it’s kinda of worse because at least TK learned and matured (he doesn’t try to run anymore, he acctually tries to communicate) but Carlos is still keeping secrets and blindsiding TK.

He did choose to reveal his big secret in TK’s working place, and he only decided to actually tell the secret because he thought he didn’t have the time to get the divorce in secret. He did lied to TK after cruelly blaming TK for Iris disapearence where he was. He did lie to TK when he went after the guy he though that had killed his father.

(He actually has dificulty in giving TK agency)

He never apologizes and he still keeps doing the same thing: lying, blindsiding keeping secrets from TK.

People still haven’t quite forgived TK.

But no one holds Carlos accountable for his mistakes.

I guess this might be a vent post (I did write one before, but I deleted because It was incomplete). I strongly advise that you don’t read If you like Carlos or Iris.

So I finished season 4. And boy, It was a mess in the worst possible way. I will still watch season 5, but just because I invested so much time with this series that I have to watch until the end now.

My conclusions? I don’t ship Tarlos anymore (I like TK to much for that) and Carlos went from favorite character to a character that I hate.

Don’t get me wrong. I know that him being secretly married to a woman makes sense, and I don’t even mind It was with Iris Blake (like plot hole but okay), It was how It happened that bothered me.

The only reason that Carlos told TK the thuth was because he had no choice because of the venue date. He would have keeped this secret forever and “fixed things” behind TK’s back If he had the time.

Carlos choose to have this very important conversation in TK’s work place and that is not ok. TK deserved to have this conversation in their home, in a safe space where he could actually digest the information and not been almost “ambushed” at work. He deserved the chance to be angry.

The wife jokes were so out of line. I know that Carlos deflects and joke when he is unconfortable, but If It was endearing before now is just annoying and disrespectful.

My take? Iris was mean to TK and out of line. The way she talked with him with the whole hot mess comment and him being a Project was not ok. She was totally playing games by just taking the divorce papers and not mentioning the annulment idea.

Carlos was na asshole. He blamed TK for Iris disappearance . He choose her over the person he supposedly loves. He did lie again (and got kidnapped). And after all that he didn’t apologise for anything, he never owned up his mistakes.

And I know that Carlos isn’t much of a talker (at least when is about feelings) and his love language is acts of service. But he is still keeping things, he was still lying when he went after the guy that he thought that killed his father in final episodes.  

That’s why the soulmate speech didn't move me, that’s why I didn't feel anything with the wedding vows either. Because I don’t belive Carlos loves TK. I dunno why he is insisting in this relationship, maybe he just settled for TK and is scared to leave his comfort zone, but he doesn’t love TK, not really. His actions for sure tell me he doesn’t.

javy and natasha’s reaction to bradley’s truly outta pocket comment that jake will lead someone to their death really sell just how bitchy that was before we even get to jake and that shift in his smile going from playful to fake and guarded as hell.

Sometimes I forget that some people don’t know that scorbus is canon. Like, actually canon

Scorbus is canon! This is not a drill. I repeat, this is not a drill!

I saw the Toronto showing of the Cursed Child yesterday and Scorbus HAS to be canon. In fact, I went in completely blind. I didn’t know what to expect and had no spoilers prior to watching it. However, I was so surprised. First, the actor who played Scorpius, I believe, portrayed him as autistic. I LOVED that! It was such sweet and wonderful representation. I’ll try to recap a bit of the Scorbus moments from memory, so it might not be completely accurate. In the beginning, when Harry tells Albus he can’t be with Albus anymore, he throws a MASSIVE fit. It was super cute. There was a staircase scene (I think it’s called the staircase ballet) where Albus tries to avoid Scorpius on the moving staircases at Hogwarts while Scorpius tries to reach him. They’re kept apart as Albus runs away and the staircases keep moving them apart. It was literally the most stereotypical Disney “we want to be together but can’t be together scene.” It was definitely at this moment I felt something was going on between their relationship. Also, when Snape asks Scorpius who he’s fighting for, he says Albus. I also remember that in the end, Albus leans into Scorpius, almost like he wants to kiss him, before Rose interrupts saying something along the lines of it “only being awkward if they make it awkward.” The most shocking part has to be at the end when Albus comes out to Harry saying that Scorpius is “the most important person to him and might be the most important person the rest of his life.” Harry then says he knows and that he likes Albus. I wish I could remember more, but, to be honest, I never even thought it might be canon. My brother is the Potterhead, and he just really wanted to see the show. I didn’t know what to expect at all. I had suspicions in the beginning of the play, but I figured it was just queerbaiting (like always). I chalked it up to just “two bros being close” because I didn’t think I would see something like this in mainstream media. But, the conversation Albus had with his dad at the end completely made me rethink everything and realize they were crushing on each other the whole time! I hope others had the same experience at the shows in other cities, because it was a phenomenal show! I would highly recommend it!

THEY CUT EVERY BIT OF DIALOGUE IN THE FINAL CONVERSATION WITH ALBUS AND SCORPIUS ABOUT GIRLFRIENDS AND LIKING WOMEN AND POLLY CHAPMAN AND ACROSS THE BOARD GENERALLY A LOT OF THE FORCED STRAIGHT CONTENT WAS GONE. EVERY LINE ABOUT ALBUSS GETTING A GIRLFRIEND IN THAT SCENE IS GONE

AFTER SCORPIUS IN THEORY ASKS OUT ROSE HE CALLS WHAT HE'S TRYING TO BUILD WITH HER A LOVE PALACE AND ALBUS SAYS ARE YOU SURE THAT'S THE PERSON YOU WANT TO BE BUILDING A LOVE PALACE WITH

AND SCORPIUS SAID "I THINK SO???"

ROSE NO LONGER DOES THE FLIRTY SCORPION THING SHE JUST TELLS SCORPIUS IT'S ONLY GOING TO BE WEIRD IF HE MAKES IT WEIRD AND THEN LOOKS AT ALBUS AND SAYS "YOU OKAY THERE ALBUS?"

THEY CUT THE PORTION OF SCORPIUS LINE "IN THIS NEW VERSION OF US "HE JUST ENDS THERE INSTEAD OF ADDING "I HAD IN MY HEAD", AND ALBUS NO LONGER BRINGS UP ROSE AGAIN AFTER

AND THEN THE MASTER OF ALL IN THE FINAL SCENE WITH ALBUS AND HARRY THERE IS A COMPLETELY NEW SECTION OF THE SCRIPT

WHERE ALBUS BRINGS UP SCORPIUS AND STUTTERS ABOUT HIM AND SAYS TO HARRY "SCORPIUS IS THE MOST IMPORTANT PERSON IN MY LIFE HE MIGHT ALWAYS BE THE MOST IMPORTANT PERSON IN MY LIFE"

AND HE AND HARRY HAVE THIS MOMENT OF REALIZATION WITH EACH OTHER AND HARRY SAYS "IF HE'S GOING TO BE THE MOST IMPORTANT PERSON IN YOUR LIFE I THINK THAT'S A VERY GOOD THING"

AND THEN GOES "I REALLY LIKE HIM"

LIKE WHOLEHEARTED FATHER GIVING HIS QUEER SON APPROVAL FOR THE GUY HE'S INTO
