Swordmaster Yanqing very nice, very cool; but hand-to-hand combat Yanqing hits different (totally not because I'm too lazy to draw swords)

🌙MOONSHADOW 🌙🌙⭐️⭐️CHAPTER 38 ⭐️⭐️
The Collector finds a loophole.

Banner art by @cupcakeshakesnake
FULL FIC SYNOPSIS:
Between picking up the pieces in the wake of the Day Of Unity and its aftermath, reconnecting with Raine, helping King come to terms with his newfound identity and being there for Luz as she navigates a life split between the Boiling Isles and Connecticut, Eda Clawthorne has a lot on her plate.
Taking on another, seemingly-impossible project at this point, especially one that seems particularly ill-advised, is probably not the wisest decision. But then, Eda has never been one to take the easy path in life.
And she made a promise.
AKA - The one where Eda takes it upon herself to give The Collector a second chance, and faces the challenges that go along with it.
Canon-divergent after King's Tide.

While that’s fair to point out the Zhuming’s tradition, it’s unfair to expect Yanqing to know of it, given that he’s lived (and is currently) on the Luofu. He also is rightful to accuse her of stealing because Yunli did steal his sword.
Yunli is on the Luofu, which means the traditions are not exactly the same. From Yanqing’s perspective, Yunli stole his sword and refused to return it. Yunli shouldn’t expect the Zhuming’s tradition to be the standard. Yanqing has every right to be upset that his sword was stolen with no explanation. He never got the dialogue that we Trailblazers did.
No matter who escalates the problem, Yunli was still the one who initiated it in the first place.
I’d say both are immature and could have handled it better, Yunli more so in this case. But they are both still (relatively) children.
“yunli stole yanqings sword, she's mean!1!2!”
he was mean to her and accused her of theft because he's not familiar with zhuming tradition so, in return, she was mean to him and decided she wouldn't just nicely hand over his sword
