everyone who calls cullen rutherford meticulously neat and tidy has never seen that mans desk, office, or bedroom. there's rubble, trees, and papers all over and you want me to read this fanfic and think he has a proper place for everything.

I really like the fact that Cullen is probably the only advisor that doesn't believe that the MC is chosen by the Maker or Andraste or anything. Cassandra believes that the Herald has survived due to the Maker's will, even if that will is a mystery to her. Leliana is hurt and angry that the Herald has survived while Justinia has died, and tries to make sense of it. Even Josie admits that she wants to believe there is something divine going on. And then Cullen, despite being very religious, does not seem to care that much about the whole "Herald of Andraste" thing. I especially love this bit of dialogue in Haven:

Herald: I just hope I can help. Cullen: As do we all. It's enough that you will try.

Like… if I was expected to perform miracles and was worshiped against my will and someone told me that me, just trying to help like anyone else, IS ENOUGH… it would be so comforting.
