My actual reaction while listening to “Mastermind”, enjoying their duet and not expecting Stolas to be ready to die if it meant Blitz lived:

Okay….I Am Going To Lose It.

I am aware that this is not the entire Stolitz community, but I hate theorists who are putting conditions on if Stolas and Blitz’s relationship is “right”.

They don’t get to choose what happens with them. Mastermind just came out and there are STILL people arguing over who was more wrong in Full Moon.

Now after Mastermind, I’ve gotten:

-Stolitz is moving too fast

-Stolitz is moving too slow

-People who still don’t think Stolitz is canon for some reason I couldn’t tell you

-People who are pissed off Stolas didn’t get a mirror of “Apology Tour”

-Asmodeus didn’t do enough

-Not enough humor (BLITZ WAS LEGIT GETTING EXECUTED) 

-Too many tropes were used

-irked that Stolas is joining IMP

-Episode was too short and rushed

-It’s too fast for them to sing a love duet after what happened between Stolas and Blitz

-SO MUCH HATE TOWARDS STOLAS IN THE COURT ROOM AND WHAT HE DID

I personally loved Mastermind and get people have opinions but this stuff makes me sick to my stomach. From hatred of the Stolitz duet and thinking this episode is their least favorite of S2. Seriously??? Well, they can complain as much as they want but once again:

Seriously, the hate I’ve seen toward Mastermind is AWFUL.

✨THEORY TIME✨ Stolas’ Plot Points with Blitz always seem to happen in or near the BATH and are COLOR CODED FOR A REASON.

The Day He Met Blitz:

The Day He Made The Arrangement with Blitz:

The Day He Ended The Arrangement with Blitz and Gave Him the Crystal:

The Day He Lost Everything To Save Blitz:

Just a theory, but I think all the bath shots when it comes to this represents them feeling vulnerable and exposed. Almost as if Stolas finds the bath to be a “safe space”. The colors also represent the emotions surrounding them.

Meeting Blitz (Purple): Pointing at Stolas’ status as royalty

Making The Arrangement (HEAVILY BLUE): Could be his idealism and enthusiasm about the idea.

Ending The Arrangement (Purple + Blue): I have a feeling this represents him being conflicted. One side showing his royal status and the blue being enthusiastic about what could be with Blitz. Seems like Stolas being afraid to confess due to his status.

After The Trial (Red): Symbolic of the love between Stolas and Blitz, could even be Stolas feeling overwhelmed/sensing danger after his punishment.

What do you guys think? This is simply my take on what it could possibly mean as it seems to happen TOO OFTEN to be a simple coincidence.

CAN WE TALK ABOUT HOW THEY LITERALLY USE IMAGERY FROM STOLAS’S PAST SONGS IN MASTERMIND?!

-The Stars from “Stolas Sings”(Owl In A Cage)

-The Water Imagery from “Just Look My Way”

-Hiding His Face Partially behind his Cape from “When I See Him”

-The Rocks and Rubble from “Stolas’ Lullaby”

I AM NOT OKAY-

They may as well be pointing a neon sign with the line “I can’t hire new employees at the moment” to foreshadow Stolas being hired as a new employee (most likely as their secretary), especially with total dynamic switch.

This is such a perfect idea for the Stolitz relationship. Stolas is now at Blitz’s level, and Blitz is at Stolas’s. Both are going to experience what the other has been through the entire time. Stolas being simply NORMAL, and Blitz having the spotlight put on him.

The classism was so evident in this episode. Stolas being shown just what they think of imps in the court room, only escaping execution because they see his life as “worth something” is so painful, but also giving Stolas a perspective of the painful reality of Hell.

This episode cannot have been better. It was such an emotional rollercoaster, the music somehow just keeps getting better, and the animation was perfect.

(I will never get over Stolas’s “Fuck It!” in his song, and the imagery switching to mirror “Just Look My Way” and Blitz’s Hallucinations in “Truth Seekers”. A subtle way to say they are both facing their truth in that moment.)

Blitz always pushing away Stolas compared to him fighting to get to him. Seeming like he is reliving the moment Stolas said goodbye in Full Moon and wasn’t able to reach him.

UGH. This episode was so great.

Seriously, after hearing about S3 not being cancelled, I said out loud “I JUST WANT TO HEAR CROWLEY CALL AZIRAPHALE ANGEL AGAIN-“ and sent myself into a crying fit. Forgot my soul is still smashed to bits for a second due to S2’s finale.

I know that Terry’s daughter fought hard with Amazon to not have them just stop the show and leave it on a cliffhanger. At least this fandom will get closure. I couldn't be MORE GRATEFUL for the people who fought for this show and the actors who see just how much this means to people.

We very well could've just had Sheen or Tennant just walk away, yet they chose to be there for the fandom through all of it. Couldn't love this show more.
