Wanted to draw attention to a free game released just yesterday that genuinely made me tear up.
A phenomenal story about healing, and the people we care for you should play this game! It’s free and like 2 hours long max

I am tabling at a local playtesting event called Let’s break games.
The sharks are here for moral support ( and also padding to transport my monitor)

I have been using Gamemaker for my game and I generally find it to be extremely friendly to beginner programmers. Also it’s drag and drop code editor is basically just as good as it’s written code.
Also it’s free to use until you export your project so that’s a plus
Hey does anyone know any good engines for putting together a point-and-click game in the style of like, 90s edutainment? Specifically for someone that can make the art but can't program for shit. Thinking like Humongous Entertainment style 2d animation triggered by imagemaps for simple puzzles. I've been trying to learn how to make games for years and all the "easy" softwares still require a comprehension of Python that I haven't been able to grasp after 10 years of studying it. I just can't process coding.
The best I've found so far is Visual Novel Maker, but that one has so many glitches and bugs that it's really unreliable to make a game in, and a lot of specifics still require knowing coding. I don't like the idea of working long distance with a stranger on my project ideas, but I seem to be really limited on what I can do myself.
So far I've tried Visual Novel Maker, Ren'Py, Twine, Godot, Unity, Construct, Adventure Game Studio, Stencyl, RPG Maker, ClickTeam Fusion, Blender, Tuesday JS, Scratch, and Choicescript. I hated using Unity, Ren'Py, Scratch and Tuesday. The ones I could use best are VN Maker, Twine, RPG Maker, and Choicescript. I've managed to make some simple visual mods to stuff like Stardew Valley, but not enough to make more complex changes.
Would appreciate any suggestions on programs I can try, please don't tell me to just learn Python bc I have been trying for 10 years and it's just not working.

Been working on a few things but the most recent addition is a difficulty selection screen for the campaign mode. I included on top of the normal: Easy, Medium, Hard modes, Catharsis mode in which you cannot die. And Nightmare Mode, where you did if you miss, get hit once, or lose your combo.
Hopefully this means I should have something for every level of player

Hey thanks to everyone who watched. I had the modest goal of getting 25 views onto my trailer and it has been triple that already, thank you so much everyone who checked it out
Big announcement y'all! The trailer for my game is done! I'll be honest that I'm not fully happy with the trailer but I got it in before a deadline to have it shown at a con so I am happy with what I made.

Just started playing a game called ReRoad which has some really interesting takes on the Tower Defense genre and has some really quite interesting solutions for the lack of player involvement in the waves that I think is worth checking out.

This game is super fun and y’all should check it out
The Ich.io page for irredeamable has been set up.
I finished setting up My ich.io page, you are now able to give me money if you are willing to suffer the consequences (which are a loss of money)
Any and all money given to the game shall be used to feed my endless hunger for tea biscuits.... You have been warned....
