the  rpc  can  really  be  such  a  toxic  environment  .  this  is  meant  to  be  a  fun  community  ,  we’re  supposed  to  support  each  other  because  it’s  scary  enough  to  put  yourself  and  your  writing  out  there  .  it’s  so  disappointing  to  continue  to  hear  stories  of  people  belittling  others  and  their  incredibly  hard  work  over  the  years  ––  i’ve  been  around  for  about  six  years  now  ,  and  i  can’t  believe  that  toxicity  and  anonymous  hate  continue  to  be  an  issue  .  why  is  this  a  constant  ?  why  is  it  normal  ?

send  nice  anons  .  appreciate  content  creators  .  compliment  your  writing  partner  (  or  the  people  in  your  rp  ,  or  that  one  indie  writer  ,  or  that  writeblr  ,  or  anyone  on  your  dash  )  .  genuine  compliments  that  come  from  you  reading / viewing  what  they’ve  done  and  taking  in  all  the  work  that  has  been  put  into  it  .  be  kind  to  people  ––  you  do  not  need  an  excuse  to  do  it  .  it’s  never  the  wrong  time  .  and  odds  are  ,  you’ll  make  someone’s  day  .

please  stop  accepting  rude  messages  as  normal  .  and  if  you  are  the  kind  of  person  who  hides  under  the  anon  feature  and  feels  like  you’re  somehow  entitled  to  hurt  another  human  being  ,  i  really  hope  you  develop  some  empathy  and  reflect  on  your  decisions  ,  if  only  for  a  second  . 

support  each  other  .  be  kind  .   keep  writing  and  expressing  your  creativity  ,  and  i  hope  you  end  up  finding  a  safe  place  to  do  so  .  i’m  lucky  enough  to  say  that  i  already  have  .

#aMusingWords Day 6: Ethereal

What is more ethereal in RWBY than a magical genie in a lamp? And, as I’m sure it’s been pointed out before, Emerald’s allusion being Aladdin (I believe) would make it fitting for her to somehow get a hold of said lamp so this is my take on it :)

he was restless. there was something inside of him screaming to just go do something. he’d already done his exercises for the day, but who’d stop him from taking another run? besides, amaya had some energy to get out, it was a win win. trusted canine companion at his side, he just… ran. a jog to wherever.

he stops. there weren’t too many people around, and though he looks around just in case, he thinks it’s safe enough to douse some water from his bottle into his hair. it’s cool. it feels good. causes the fabric of his white sleeveless shirt to stick to his skin, synthetic material of the athletic top giving him a slight chill.

he catches his breath. gives amaya some water. leans over a small railing looks out at the trees as they begin to bloom, small buds of pink and purple and green as the leaves begin to grow.

it was… quiet. but his mind was still racing.

          ‘  penny for your thoughts ?  ‘  she’s never subtle about her sudden appearances, almost ghost - like when she’s sitting on the railing just a few feet from him --- long ivory cloak billowing lazily behind her.  ‘  your dog is really cute. sorry, i saw your aura and figured i’d come say hi.  ‘  not an entire lie, though never the whole truth with summer. perhaps he just had as little company as summer did.
