Honoring the Pause is uncomfortable!! It stirs up the ego and fear thoughts: Who am I without my art? What opportunities will I miss? Can I afford to pause? How do I serve if I’m not actively making? Will I lose my abilities? All sorts of shit flows through my mind, and yes, it’s obsessive and anxiety ridden at times, but tending to those parts, having compassion, and building consciousness around the ego is the practice of being Human, no? Getting curious rather than reactive is my work. When I get highjacked by the myriad “what if’s” I practice my yoga (not just physical), sit, and/or go to nature. It brings me back into my body, the Now, No thingness, knowing... So, if you’re having a moment or not, I’m beaming you a peaceful breeze and space for something new to come in.
