2023 CHINESE NEW YEAR

For the past weeks Hawaii has done a grand celebration for Chinese New Year! Blessing all the shopping malls and centers with colorful and amusing performances from multiple lion dance groups. Such a wonderful and fun activity to see with your family, with the loud pounding of the drums and the playful lion dancers! Surely you can't miss such a culture celebration.

Aloha, I'm Domix! I am a single mother with two gorgeous daughters and currently living on the island of Oahu. I am currently part-time in retail and attending school for creative writing. My hobbies are exploring scenic locations, sunbathing on the beach, being a food and car enthusiast, and creating art on many platforms. For the past years I have struggled with bi-polar depression and have barely lived up to my full potential. But with the new start of the year 2023, I decided to take on all that life has to offer and create the paradise that I once wished for on a shooting star. FROM SHINING SHORES TO MOODY TREES

Not only is Hawaii great for the crystal ocean water and sun glowing sand. There is so much natural scenery that's hidden within the journey hiking up the mountains. Here is Aiea Loop Trail that shifts the aloha spirit into a mystical relaxation. A serene picnic and low intensity hiking trail that surely brings your heart closer to mother nature. As you take a breath of the lingering scent of the skyscraper pine trees and chitter-chatter of the birds perching overhead, really brings the peace that was locked within all the stressors of working at ease.

SUNNY ALL YEAR ROUND

Kicking off the New Year with some friends and fun in the sun at Kalaeloa Beach Park! This past weekend was a pleasure to be surrounded by bright smiles and joyful laughter as we soak up underneath the Hawaiian sun. Feeling the warm kiss of the sun shining upon us and the sparking blue ocean splashing around in the melody of the cool salty breeze whispering through my hair. It is in fact such a wonderful way to celebrate the New Year!
