Tick-tock, pendulum
When will it be my turn
One day, pendulum
Finally you will return
Waiting for so long
And singing that same old song
Waiting patiently
For when you’ll come back to me
Holding on to what you said
And the things you gave to me
An umbrella and so much pain
« If you can’t live, live for me »
Holding tight the umbrella
Drip-drop, rain is falling
A forest, a red sedan
A beautiful bride sitting
800 years, pendulum
That’s how long I’ve been searching
But I’m sure pendulum
It has been worth waiting

During those 800 years
Following the wind
Wandering
In the forest
Searching
Who am I, but who I was before
Who was I, I can’t tell anymore
A young prince, a kingdom
A failure, a disaster
Busking, collecting scraps
Staying alive for now
Living day after day
Even I wonder why
Maybe to find a purpose
Maybe to punish myself
The leaves are falling, it is fall
Then maybe start again

San Lang
Light autumn breeze
Ox cart through maple leaves
A red stranger
Our first encounter
He was the third son
Because he had a family
It meant he was loved
Even wanted, maybe
Young and joyous
Smart, mischievous
But he had good manners
Rich but humble
The son of a noble
Nothing like Hong Hong er
Tall and fair
White jade skin
Long black hair
His complexion pristine
Crafted for you
Carved skillfully
Butterfly made anew
A perfect devotee
To keep you near
As to not scare you away
It was my biggest fear
That you would leave one stay
When you’d see all of my flaws
Missing an eye, scary demon
How could you like someone so low
And not despise this horrible person
It took time to create
Hone every detail
Couldn’t afford to fail
This gentle twist of fate
Now the ox cart stopped
And we reached our destination
It’s already more than I hoped
Better than my wildest ambition
Somehow you weren’t scared
Even wanted to see more
And how could I refuse
When you’re the one I long for
But not right now, I’m not prepared
The sun was down, sunset hues
I looked back to sneak a glance
Though I don’t want to ruin my chance
I think you deserve honesty
Maybe somehow you’ll accept me

Devotion
A flame on the shore
White cultivator
I wonder little flame
What holds you in this world
A pair of gentle arms
And a quiet whisper
Umbrella in the rain
A chance encounter
The white-clad man nodded
And asked the small fire
Then tell me little one
What do you desire
To protect the loved one
Or to be loved one day
To return what I got
To give what’s been given
And for you, Your Highness
Death is a simple deed
You only have to ask
I will do anything
A sad smile on his face
The cultivator said
I’m sorry little one
But forget this nonsense
Don’t believe in the prince
Who no longer exists
Deserted by his friends
Powerless and stupid
The flame had more to say
But scared to cross the line
Watched as the white man stood
Vanished into the night
Not enough power yet
But willing to progress
Believe me Your Highness,
For I will not forget

Hong er
It was a child
But not many cared
Under the bandage
Deep scars on his face
Still it was a child
Not older than ten
Fragile heart hidden
By hatred and pain
Now there was the child
Falling to his death
Until arms caught him
Said he’ll be ok
Even now a child
Though so much older
Seeking for those arms
A home to return

Reunion
While you’re gone
I’ll plant a flower
White ambrosia
I’ll create a path
Easy to follow
Snow has melted
But I’m still waiting
I promised I would
Searching for your face
In the sunset hues
While you’re gone
I’ll plant a tree
Tall and strong
I’ll build us a home
Where you’ll be welcomed
Lanterns in the night
I sigh at the sky
The day we met
I did not notice
Now it’s so easy
An embrace, a kiss

The ring
Ashes ashes
Around your neck
It’s your choice
It’s an old custom
Dangerous devotion
Wishing to stay
Willing to die
For I shall not exist
If you don’t want me to

Wu Ming
Lonely flower
Waiting to be picked
Please come back one day
Beautiful flower
While I’m still waiting
Has withered away
Red were the petals
No tear drop left
I’m glad we could meet
Though you’ve gone away
Dark clouds, black sword
You looked back to me,
who is still so weak
I begged you to stay
Crimson red flower
I’ve not forgotten
Under the lanterns
I’ll find you again

Mu Qing
A grudge
Jealousy
It’s always easy to you
Darling of Heaven
Or son of peasant
After all is said
Not so different
Grudge or envy
Still not sure
To catch up to you
Or walk beside you
From your pedestal
How could you notice
Great general
Or scrap collector
After all is done
Still there’s resentment
On that bridge
But it’s different
You offered your hand
It took an instant
I admired you
Since the first moment
