i went to "mad at me" island expecting to find people i knew, something i understood. but when my boat landed, standing upon the shore were a million empty husks wearing my own face. every foot of the island was occupied, and everywhere i went, they watched me with contempt. they never spoke, never breathed. they simply watched. no matter how i grovelled and begged, snarled and cursed, tried to hide or kicked and hit, they simply stared. the hatred in their gaze was inescapable, but i could hardly return it, knowing that their doomed existence was of my own creation. knowing that the hatred was nobody's but my own. in the end i just wept, unable to stand the relentless gaze of my own infinite glare.
the guy who i accidentally cut off in traffic last week was there also

a central transfeminist point that it's difficult for tmes to wrap their heads around is that trans women do in fact interact with society as women, and are treated as women, even when they're being misgendered. misgendering isn't just misunderstanding, it's a deliberate act of violence targeting a particularly vulnerable class of women
this seemingly paradoxical nature of transmisogyny is what makes talking about these things so maddening

since apparently this is controversial, reblog with your country in the tags and whether or not you think noodles and pasta are the same thing
#usa#pasta is specifically italian-cuisine-derived high semolina content dough noodles and friends#noodles is anything in the general shape category#gnocchi are neither pasta or noodles in this definition#which is admittedly a flaw but i don't take this too seriously

as an intersex person who was raised neutrally, socialized as both a girl and a boy, and has both male and female physical traits i HATE agab language . it tells you nothing but what a doctor claimed when you were born, not whats on your birth certificate, not how you were raised or perceived by others, not your reproductive parts or secondary sex characteristics, not your dominant hormone, nothing!!! and i hate even more how non-intersex people use it to boil someone down entirely to their perceived sex. disgusting
you want alternatives? "people with ovaries" "people with testes" "people who menstruate" "people with developed breasts" etc. since you all love to say a medical setting is where agab matters. this is far more inclusive anyway!!
other end of the stick is "people raised/socialized (fe)male/(wo)men", which covers more bases than agab language does. someone can be afab and have been socialized as a boy growing up and have all the male-associated sex characteristics. again agab tells you nothing
something i saw someone else suggest was "assumed (perisex) fe/male" (APF/APM) but i know yall r gonna take that and make it agab again
anyway. this post was brought to you by an agabless intersex transfem. please everyone stop saying agab unless you MEAN the actual assignment of sex at birth and nothing else

its really cool that we discovered glass which is the material that doesnt have any chemical reactions with anything in the universe very useful for doing chemistry due to being able to put things in it to contain chemical reactions and never having it react with the things that are in it due to it being completely and entirely unreactive to every chemical

there's no criticism you can aim towards Japanese or Korean idols that you couldn't also aim towards Disney stars, US athletics programs, and child actors everywhere

does declining sperm count actually correlate with lowered fertility rates? balls make hella sperm and i'm not sure if a reduced sperm count would make that much of a difference. like to be sure if a person notices a conspicuous drop in their own sperm count they should be worried because that implies something has changed health-wise, but on a societal level i'd think lowered fertility rates would have more to do with fewer people wanting to have sex. i'd attribute 'low birth rates' to social issues before i'd blame any mechanical biological issues.
reproductive healthcare science followers lmk if i'm wrong.
then again probably my most cuntrarian and correct take is that talking about 'demographic decline' and 'birth rates' out of very specific contexts is crank shit and disqualifies you in my book from serious discussions. btw that applies in either 'direction' too. if you worry about people having too many or not enough children you are a part of a political project that is probably not long for this world. because it's silly.
