short answer: no, I can't honestly think of a good place where I'd host this right now. There are soooooo many sites people use for fandom, that I personally haven't tried yet.

longer answer: I understand tumblr's parent company Automattic doing a 16% layoff at WordPress can scare people. It's unfortunate it's happening and can definitely put fandom space into a panic, especially when you know that Tumblr has never really been super profitable and (from what I've heard) runs on a skeleton crew.

Right now, it's memes about how Tumblr is gonna shut down. If you're truly worried, consider getting Tumblr premium as a way to support the site. I'm personally not a fan of having hundreds of subscriptions, and run an ad-blocker on every one of my devices. But you gotta remember: if you want this hell-site (affectionate) to stay afloat, they need funds to run the place somehow. Oh, but they sell ad space to fund! Why do you think the ads are so fucking weird on Tumblr?? Cause normal advertisers, the ones that would pay more, want nothing to do with this hell-site (negative). If you're more curious, I'd suggest checking out @strange-aeons video How Did Tumblr Ads Get So Weird? (ft. An Ex-Employee).

So until we get legit news about the state of Tumblr, I've no plans on hosting it elsewhere. So, if for some reason you find tes-gala elsewhere on the web, it's not me. I would make an announcement that I've made an account somewhere to host. But I very much prefer to keep this on one site because I'm only one person currently running this.

Right, I guess I'm making a list of all deities and randomizing the order. Got lots of homework to do. But this will be fun. I know the majority of deities/lore, but it'll be fun to refresh! c:

some sheogorathean gala ideas

just some thoughts on what one could incorporate in designs or stories for sheogorathean guests of @tes-gala :)

mushrooms - oh , megafungi of mania ! of course , grown mushrooms would probably not make for good accessories , but little baby sprouts might . there is also some potential to think about which mushrooms might make good dishes , and which ones have strange spores ... what effects could these spores have on other partygoers ?

gambolpuddy - unofficial book curio folio vol vii , altmer princess in heat , feature gambolpuddy . in this book , gambolpuddy is not just sacrificial artifact , but actually hold power to transfer identity ! orc warlord gain dunmer identity , khajiit servant gain that orc's identity , and altmer princess gain that khajiit's identity ... while this is in-universe erotic fiction , there is implication from real sheogorath that gambolpuddy might hold this power after all . that would be one fun way to spice up gala , no ?

wabbajack - classic ! in oblivion , wabbajack come with one effect only - transformation . this could be useful to turn hostile creatures against each other , or to make ghosts corporeal , but much more useful for shenanigans . skyrim expand even further : random bursts of magic , transformation into animals , invisibility , transformation into gold or sweet rolls ... of course , one must first figure out how to get wabbajack into gala . how hard could that be , right ?

staff of the everscamp - this might be lesser known , and there could be some association with namira as well , but this staff summon ... well ... everscamps . these scamps will never disappear , never leave , and always follow one around - with all of foul stink that this imply . even so , holder of this staff will feel compulsion to keep , forever and ever . would these scamps be good guests ? ( of course not - still scamps ! )

chee-nanigans - sure , cheese is old joke , might like to choose another food . but , how much cheese could one steal from this gala ? alternatively , how much cheese could one sneak in - and would this be snack cheese , accessory to wear , or projectiles to fling ?

hopefully these ideas might be fun for someone !

hello! I'm super excited about this but wanted to clarify something - since it's a week long, does each day have different prompts? or is it just that we can participate at any point during the week? thank you for hosting this, it sounds like it'll be a lot of fun!

I got no problem clarifying! :)

So it's a whole week where you can participate in at any point. I mainly did this so we're not overwhelmed with submissions to the event in a single day. As well as allow a nice grace period for those interested in participating.

This is a single prompt, all week long. It's been picked to be Daedra and the Divines (of any pantheon, not just the Imperial pantheon).

You're allowed more than one submission. (For example: I'm planning on 1-2 drawings and a small oneshot fic, hopefully 🤞)

The last day of the event, Saturday, is a free-for-all. Meaning as long as it's just fashion/party themed since this is a "gala", you're allowed to submit whatever you fancy.

I'm glad you're super excited about the event! :D I'm so thrilled that so many are interested in my idea! It's always nice to see the community get together to do something like this!

What information is needed to submit an OC ? i've mostly written about my main OC, although she doesn't have anything too organized (or even a ref) and I've seen other people submit refs and toyhouses, but I'm pretty unorganized so </3

I would say technically no limit. But it depends how you wanna share your OCs!

I place links to your OCs info in the OC submissions page. If you've got something like a refsheet/Toyhouse page/profile and want me to link to it for others to browser through your OCs, I can do that.
