I disagree about Dan and Phil's silence on the current ongoings in the uk regarding trans rights.

They're not in the business of immediately firing off topical tweets whenever something happens these days, and tbh that's not even all that helpful anyway. They also may well be on a holiday right now, something that even famous people deserve every once in a while.

What I think is more likely and also more actually helpful is that they for example do another charity stream at some point, like maybe for Dan's brithday, and raise tens of thousands of pounds for a uk charity benefiting trans people. I think that would be great and I really hope they do something like that. But I really don't think we need to be on their asses right now about some kind of reaffirming twitter statement or whatever.

however, i personally think the point you're making about them being on holiday is redundant as they posted on thursday. phil promoted it on all socials and was replying to comments on twitter.

i agree about a fundraiser being more helpful than exclusively a tweet.

i have to genuinely ask though, what stops them from doing both? a tweet or an insta story just to show that they are outraged with whats currently happening and then later on take an action like a fundraiser?

i don't want any of my posts to come across as if im demanding something from dan and phil because i understand that at the end of the day i cannot change their actions no matter my feelings but i also personally don't think i'm "on their asses" for discussing my disappointment as a trans person from the silence of two cis men regarding transphobia. or for wishing that the two cis men would speak up about the transphobia that is currently happening in the country they live in.

i think dan & phil think we believe everything we hear bc they included the pumpkin and toilet theories in the show but we just hear something so funny that even if we dont believe it we rewrite it as canon because we commit to the bit. sorry u have joint shitties & big bong now
