Lightfall
Just put in my pre-order for a $100 game expansion of a 5-year old game I’ve bought like 3 times already...
This was perhaps not my best financial decision.

Not to say that my story is the same as Rosa’s at all. It’s not. But there were things that we wanted and thought would be really important — like the word itself: bisexual. To me, that’s an important word in my coming out. I know that not all people are totally celebratory of that word because it’s from a time where it was like these two genders — that’s all there is. And now there’s a lot more flexibility and fluidity in sexuality, which is why sometimes I gravitate toward the word queer as well. For me, bisexuality includes people that are trans, it can include people who identify in different kind of ways. But for Rosa, there was a point for her where she heard that word somewhere along the line and she saw herself in that word, so for her, it was important for her to identify in that way. I suggested that that word was really important to Rosa and that it also would be really important to the bi community to have that word said aloud on TV. Not just a suggestion that she dates girls now, but a clarity on this character: This is who I am, and I’d like you to know it — and accept it.

Fucking Fleas
Almost a year to the day after I finally dealt with the flea infestation from the stray kittens I took in my fucking sister brings fleas into my house. I found one on my boy, and I’ve noticed my girls are itchier than usual. Fucking great. It only took months to deal with last time.

“Professor Marston and the Wonder Women”
This movie is amazing. It’s the true story of the romance between the creator of Wonder Woman and the women he based her on. William Moulton Marston, Elizabeth Marston, and Olive Byrne - each in love with the others. A poly, bisexual, kinky love story that became the basis of everything Wonder Woman is. Everything she is came from Elizabeth and Olive. After William Marston’s death, Elizabeth and Olive spent the rest of their lives together. The three of them were a triad - the unicorn dream made real. And they were brilliant people. The Marstons were the real inventors of the lie detector (from whence Wonder Woman’s lasso of truth comes, along with the rope from the bondage the three of them enjoyed). The movie is a love story, it’s just a love story with three people. It’s beautiful, and sweet, and sexy. It stars the incredible Luke Evans (who I would seriously watch a feature length film of just reading the phone book), along with Rebecca Hall and Bella Heathcote. There’s romance, bondage, threesomes, domesticity, familial clashes, domination and submission, happiness, sorrow, and - above all - love. It’s also about sexism, censorship, shifting social norms, public vs private personas, ostracization, coming to terms with your own identity, desire vs conditioning, and so much more. The marketing killed this movie. This is a year with Wonder Woman’s first standalone film - a film which was incredibly popular and made a shitton of money - plus the upcoming Justice League movie, and yet NO ONE is coming to see the true story of how she was created. The title of the film is long and unwieldy and the tag line is godawful: “Meet the women behind the man behind the woman.” What the fuck does that mean? That is the worst tag line ever. It’s long, boring, confusing, and it doesn’t connect people who don’t know that this film is about the creation of Wonder Woman to Wonder Woman, or connect people who are poly, LGBT, kinky, or otherwise other to the fact that this is a TRUE love story about poly, bisexual, kinky people who had an immense impact on pop culture and on science and law enforcement. It’s “John Carter” all over again. This film isn’t going to be out long, because it is absolutely dying at the box office, so if you get the chance to see it do so now. Support this film. Experience and enjoy that love, and polyamory, and bisexuality, and kink. See where Wonder Woman came from. Pick a reason, but go see it while you have the chance.
