The Gorgon's body could be likened to that of the sea slugs she had taken inspiration from when it came to her new form. So much better than her old one, she thought. Far more vibrate, pretty even, and she let the other take it in with no hint of embarrassment. She was used to it.

And his plight wasn't the first time she had heard of such a thing. Not so unlike what her own parents had done to her and her sisters. Though in their case it was more an abandonment, and yet the trio had only thrived in it.

"Ahhh, I see. They cast you out to learn about the world all by your lonesome, yes? Common, but does not make it any less...sad, I suppose."

She didn't know a better word for it, and while she could tell he was trying to make it sound like he was unbothered, she wasn't completely falling for it.

"Do you have somewhere to stay tonight?"

Theris was just fascinated with the other, examining her scales and wondering how tough they were. Probably stronger than anything he knew! Which wasn't much but still!

Her question almost flustered him, feeling ashamed of the fact that he had no home so to speak.

" Yes? No?...Need to get stronger to make clan...rite of passage! Must learn everything on my own! "

He answered, trying to sound proud and mighty! Even if he actually felt lonely and honestly scared. His clan was used to such a lifestyle but he was never considered tough like them.

Just a small heads up, I might move Tala, Rya (tentaplenty), and Phineas (fabulousflynn) to a multimuse account. Mostly because I can't keep up with the account switching when I'm on other devices, and there might be more muses I want to add to my collection :)

My Sonic muses will stay on their own blogs because my main boy (emeraldtied) is just way too AU at this point and my other two (dyadhogs) might be heading in the same-ish direction.

It was a good thing Rya had no intention of harming the other, they seemed too naive for their own good. In some cases The Gorgon might have used that to her advantage, to get a free meal.

As it was she just took the other's hands firmly and started to slowly pull them from the wall. She wouldn't let go, and was watching their legs carefully. They still had to move them, to kick, but she would give a few more pointers.

"If you cannot stay afloat with just your legs, we may need to try another method. Have you heard of the 'doggy paddle'?"

That offer alone made their little tail wag! For some reason they just loved physical contact like that! With a smile they nodded, almost eager to just hold onto her!

" I'd like that very much! I'm sure it would help me a lot! "

It certainly would ground them more! Ensuring them that they were safe and still part of this world.

Given that she either personally knows or has heard of most supernatural beings, be they monsters or something else, or can give this one a solid no on that front. She's just a realist.

She does believe in curses, hexes and jinxes because, even though she doesn't possess the ability to do that kind of magic (or really any magic) she knows they're very real and are very much used by other monsters.

Rya had pulled back, her tail thrashing for a moment at her side in irritation as she glared at the other. She had been enjoying some quiet time before the other had interrupted it, and it had made The Gorgon just a touch cranky.

"No. I just do not like being touched. And there is the small fact you would poison yourself if you did."

You are just a feral little rat but we love that about you. Keeping you around is like keeping a raccoon on a leash, you're definitely very friendly with your friends though. It was a seat and glass that were always readily taken. Perhaps she should have expected such hospitality from an Innkeeper but it never did fail to surprise her just a little. Nonetheless, despite the fact alcohol had no effect on The Gorgon (her body was mostly water after all) she still greatly enjoyed the taste. She preferred sweeter things but she happily sipped at it, glad to hear her gift had been put to good use.

"It is wonderful, and I am glad you enjoyed your gift. They are fun to hunt, and they are high in fat making them quite delicious." She could eat quite a few herself but, admittedly, she had gotten carried away in her latest hunt, hence the need to put the rest to good use. Waste not, want not.

Smiling down at the feline, who still utterly fascinated her, she reached down to run a hand along his back. "Next time I will include something extra special for you, Furry Beast."
