There are more than enough posts saying “remember you don’t know these Kpop idols”, “at the end of the day all Kpop men are still men”, “this is why we can’t trust men”, etc so I’ll just say this: whatever you’re feeling about Taeil right now is valid. Yes, you can be horrified, disgusted, livid, etc because those are all valid and expected feelings to this situation. You can also be sad and disappointed because those are also valid emotions to this. I’m pretty sad about all this because Taeil has been my bias since Limitless and it’s truly upsetting to have a celebrity you like commit a terrible crime because there was something about them that you admired or related to and now your entire view of them has been tarnished. Celebrities can let people down just like loved ones can and it’s okay to feel disappointed by them. It’s okay to feel unsettled because it is unsettling. It’s unsettling because it makes you remember celebrities are human just like the rest of us. Humans can be harmed and humans can cause harm and causing harm to others will always be unsettling no matter who’s causing it. Take care of yourself how you need to during this time. Distance yourself if you need to, take a break from their music if you need to, take a social media break if you need to. It’s an emotionally charged situation due to the nature of the offense and it can be draining. Don’t let anyone police how you should be feeling about all this and take care of yourself since that’s pretty much all we can control.

SUGA: We didn’t have anyone like that. We debuted in 2013 and in our fifth year… that would’ve been in 2017, from 2013. We were going through a tough time and we had no one to ask for advice. And in 2017, we went to the Billboards for the first time. And you were the first group after us. So I thought, who’d look out for these guys if I don’t?

Reblogging because I’ve been there but sadly I’m there again💚💜
Words from a Shawol to Arohas,
I know how you’re feeling. You don’t feel like it’s real, it can’t be true, you’re reading articles and watching videos about any possible updates. But it’s true and you feel like the ground opened up to swallow you. The unthinkable has happened, and unfortunately it happened to your beloved Moonbin.
I am not too familiar with Astro or Moonbin, but my heart is with you, and I know your pain. I thought I would give you some advice on how to get through this difficult situation.
This is all meant with love.
1, try not to watch videos with clickbait titles about him. There will be, and already is a lot out there trying to capitalize on this news, only take information from reputable sources.
2, the clickbait videos never really end. They use your dear idol to get views by saying rude things or making infuriating thumbnails. Try your best to ignore it and report the video and the account.
3, don’t feel bad if you can’t bring yourself to watch any funeral footage if there is any. It will be painful to witness, and you don’t have to put yourself through that.
4, it’s okay not to want to listen to his music for a while. Take your time and be kind with yourself.
5, find a way to remember him, if you feel it’s appropriate. For me, Jonghyun’s music saved me in a hard time in my life and I plan to get a tattoo in his honor, but I have also named my cat after his last album, Poet|Artist (we call him Poe), and every new years day I listen to a special song of his to welcome the new year.
6, find fellow Arohas to talk to. They need you as much as you need them.
7, when you feel like you can handle it, find joy in the moments Moonbin left for you. Like dance practice bloopers, photos of him smiling.. remember him on the anniversary if his last day, but celebrate him on his birthday.
8, finally, reach out for help if you feel you need it. It may seem silly to mourn someone you never met, but it’s still a very real loss with very real pain.
I hope this advice can help you find a little peace. I am so sorry for your loss.
-A Shawol

Your feelings are valid💜
You are allowed to mourn and grieve anyone that has had a positive affect on your life.
Five years ago, my sister woke me up with the news of Jonghyun’s passing. It was a rollercoaster of emotions being heartbroken for someone I had never met, will never meet. I never went in depth about how I felt with my family, except my sister, because it was hard to describe mourning a celebrity.
It took almost four months to realize that just because I didn’t know him personally, doesn’t mean that I don’t have the right to feel sad- no heartbroken- about his passing. SHINee has had an immense affect on my Kpop journey and brought, still bring, me so much happiness.
So mourn Moonbin. I know I will. I found Astro in 2018, my first comeback with them was Always You. All Night was my favorite song of 2019 and is one of my favorite Kpop songs ever. They’ve brought me so much laughter at a time I was going through a lot and honestly, just made me happy with their content and their music. I’m distraught about Moonbin’s passing and I’m going to let myself feel what I need to get through this. A Pinterest quote I saw after Jonghyun’s passing was “some things you don’t get over, you just get through them.” I’m not over Jonghyun’s death but I got through it. I won’t get over Moonbin’s death but I’ll get through it. Your feelings, whether you’re an Aroha from the start, an Aroha from the middle, or a baby Aroha, are valid. Don’t anyone tell you different just because they don’t understand what you’re going through.
Check in on your friends but also check in on yourself. It’s almost not said enough but check in on yourself during this hard time. If you need to talk to someone, reach out to a person you trust. If you need to distract yourself, do it safely. If you’re spiraling and think you need help, seek it.
My inbox is open. Granted I’m not a license therapist or medical professional but if having a listening ear, even if it’s a stranger on the internet, can help someone’s heart feel a little lighter, I would love to be that.
RIP Moonbin💔💜

For the 125th or 150th episode of To Do, I need the staff to just GIVE Yeonjun the laptop or the phone😂 The poor man has been through it and his distrust of them is probably at an all time high and I don’t blame him😂

I don’t care what anyone says, I’m STOKED for Teen Wolf: The Movie. The Nogitsune and Oni plotlines were my favorite in the tv series. Is it a bummer that Stiles and Kira won’t be in this when they have significant parts in 3B? Yes, of course. But that won’t keep me from watching it! I’m really interested to see how they tie that together with Allison and I’m looking forward to it (:

Once you’ve looked over all those cool links, I have some general advice for you on how you can have some sort of support system going for you:
Reasons to move out of home
You may decide to leave home for many different reasons, including:
wishing to live independently
location difficulties – for example, the need to move closer to university
conflict with your parents
being asked to leave by your parents.
Issues to consider when moving out of home
It’s common to be a little unsure when you make a decision like leaving home. You may choose to move, but find that you face problems you didn’t anticipate, such as:
Unreadiness – you may find you are not quite ready to handle all the responsibilities.
Money worries – bills including rent, utilities like gas and electricity and the cost of groceries may catch you by surprise, especially if you are used to your parents providing for everything. Debt may become an issue.
Flatmate problems – issues such as paying bills on time, sharing housework equally, friends who never pay board, but stay anyway, and lifestyle incompatibilities (such as a non-drug-user flatting with a drug user) may result in hostilities and arguments.
Your parents may be worried
Think about how your parents may be feeling and talk with them if they are worried about you. Most parents want their children to be happy and independent, but they might be concerned about a lot of different things. For example:
They may worry that you are not ready.
They may be sad because they will miss you.
They may think you shouldn’t leave home until you are married or have bought a house.
They may be concerned about the people you have chosen to live with.
Reassure your parents that you will keep in touch and visit regularly. Try to leave on a positive note. Hopefully, they are happy about your plans and support your decision.
Tips for a successful move
Tips include:
Don’t make a rash decision – consider the situation carefully. Are you ready to live independently? Do you make enough money to support yourself? Are you moving out for the right reasons?
Draw up a realistic budget – don’t forget to include ‘hidden’ expenses such as the property’s security deposit or bond (usually four weeks’ rent), connection fees for utilities, and home and contents insurance.
Communicate – avoid misunderstandings, hostilities and arguments by talking openly and respectfully about your concerns with flatmates and parents. Make sure you’re open to their point of view too – getting along is a two-way street.
Keep in touch – talk to your parents about regular home visits: for example, having Sunday night dinner together every week.
Work out acceptable behaviour – if your parents don’t like your flatmate(s), find out why. It is usually the behaviour rather than the person that causes offence (for example, swearing or smoking). Out of respect for your parents, ask your flatmate(s) to be on their best behaviour when your parents visit and do the same for them.
Ask for help – if things are becoming difficult, don’t be too proud to ask your parents for help. They have a lot of life experience.
If your family home does not provide support
Not everyone who leaves home can return home or ask their parents for help in times of trouble. If you have been thrown out of home or left home to escape abuse or conflict, you may be too young or unprepared to cope.
If you are a fostered child, you will have to leave the state-care system when you turn 18, but you may not be ready to make the sudden transition to independence.
If you need support, help is available from a range of community and government organisations. Assistance includes emergency accommodation and food vouchers. If you can’t call your parents or foster parents, call one of the associations below for information, advice and assistance.
Where to get help
Your doctor
Kids Helpline Tel. 1800 55 1800
Lifeline Tel. 13 11 44
Home Ground Services Tel. 1800 048 325
Relationships Australia Tel. 1300 364 277
Centrelink Crisis or Special Help Tel. 13 28 50

Things to remember
Try to solve any problems before you leave home. Don’t leave because of a fight or other family difficulty if you can possibly avoid it.
Draw up a realistic budget that includes ‘hidden’ expenses, such as bond, connection fees for utilities, and home and contents insurance.
Remember that you can get help from a range of community and government organizations.
