do all you guys shitting on dream daddy even realize what youā€™re doing? itā€™s a gay dating simulator with racially diverse characters that doesnā€™t reduce any of them to stereotypes, one of the dads is trans, and you yourself can be a trans man. thereā€™s even an option for whether your previous partner was male or female. not to mention that the game was written, illustrated, and created by LGBT artists. this game is a pretty damn big step forward, which means the media is gonna be watching it closely.
and you know what theyā€™re seeing? theyā€™re seeing the internet explode over a piece of fanart and making the artist apologize even after she got fucking death threats, along with accusations of the game being problematic because of some of the paths, the ā€œcult endingā€ (which has been debunked) and the fact that the game grumps helped produce it. so now articles about the game are turning from positive reviews to this:
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
(links to all three articles)
this gives the impression that creating LGBT and racially diverse content will result in harassment and making such content is a bad idea, which means less support for other diverse forms of media and future media like this getting turned down.
youā€™re not ā€œcalling out a transphobe uwuā€ or ā€œpointing out the game grumps are bad uwu.ā€ youā€™re taking away support for any future games like dream daddy and coming off as a huge asshole. so get off your goddamn high horse and shut the fuck up.

This is the first time Iā€™ve done anything like this so bear with me. I had a friend in school a year and a half ago who was depressed and likely had bpd and we were pretty tight but then he got a crush on me and my aroace self had no idea how to deal so it got awkward for a while and we kind of drifted apart after that. He was really into Linkin Park and kind of messed up and would it be weird to reach out and see if he is doing okay? Idk. We both literally moved to different states now, and I donā€™t know if he was suicidal or anything but after what happened with Chester last week would it be weird to see if he was okay? We were really good friend for a couple years before the awkwardness.

yā€™all love to mock asian nail salon owners so hereā€™s a little background for your dumbasses:
during the vietnam war, many vietnamese refugees came to america, a lot being women and their children. an american actress, tippi hedren, flew to sacramento, ca. to visit a refugee camp. she wanted to meet the women who were living there and figure out ways to support them. many of them had lost their husbands in the war and were now left without an income and many had no knowledge of how to begin to provide for themselves and their children. while there, tippi noticed that many of the women were fascinated with her manicured nails. tippi had gotten the idea to fly her manicurist to the refugee camp to teach the women how to do nails, in hopes of giving these women a way to support themselves and their families. tippi had paid for 20 women from the refugee camp to attend beautician school and help them get their licenses & eventually find jobs. about 51% of manicurists in the u.s. are vietnamese and many of them are direct descendants of these 20 women who were given the chance to go to beautician school at the courtesy of tippi. so next time yā€™all want to mock and make fun of hardworking nail techs and treat them like shit, just remember that this is all because of the labor and the persistence of their ancestors who came here with nothing.

The Unstoppable Wasp #8
Still the best book at Marvel, hands down. Ā I canā€™t believe they even dealt with this, let alone handled it so well.

Which just goes to show, there is a bit of each in all of us:)
How the Houses take online quizzes
Hufflepuff: Picks the honest answers closest to who they really are.
Gryffindor: Picks the answers that are closest to who they see themselves as/want to be.
Ravenclaw: Know how to rig the answers, so either ignore it or challenge themselves to get particular results for amusement.
Slytherin: Actively rig the answers to get the result they want.
