Inspired by me recently rereading All the Young Dudes by MsKingBean89, I have written a short fic of what I think the Sirius vs Peter showdown was like. Each have their own short POV

My experience in fandom started with the marauders and, like most people, I was disgusted by JK Rowling’s anti-trans and dangerous “feminist” ideals. I mention this because I want it to be clear that me writing marauders fanfiction does not condone her actions whatsoever. If I found that she benefited financially from this I would not post it at all. I am only writing this because I recently, in a moment of weakness and loneliness, re read ATYD and had to get this out of my system. Its very short and I am proud of it but if this is harmful in anyway I will remove it immediately. 

I am an aspiring writer and I struggle with finding inspiration. When it strikes I have to work while the irons hot and I’d love to know if any writers had any tips about my style in this. I only worked on it for about 30 mins total so it really is my raw writing. Any criticism is welcome.

Something something, they didn’t forget each other in the lotus casino cause they weren’t alone and tethered each other, something something, they survived Tartarus because they weren’t alone and tethered each other.

They are the blueprint

Futile - ted

The Sun protected his people, vicious until his explosive end,

The Star sacrificed himself for his brethren time and time again,

The Moon thinned the herd, fighting tooth and nail for the victory of her family, for them to join her in the sky,

Mars fought to defy the odds, to break the curse, but even he gave up on his dream, his team, long before he died.

All this energy, this time, fighting for the weak, those ones who cower,

But it was the Earth who was chosen by Them, reminding the skylings of their weakness against those with knowledge, those with power.

Those who watch will always know more than those who are, they are omniscient,

And they will spend more time and energy than us just to make sure we understand our insignificance.

They sent her down to join the rest.

As she had impressed them in her initial test,

By bringing destruction without hesitation,

So they trusted her to spearhead this mutation,

Because a change to the games was due,

To bring back the fear, to make it new,

And she was fast and strong and brought the heat,

So this was the girl, the comet, they knew would become the one to beat.

The Sun who set over that scorched plain,

The Stars who sparkled in the night sky,

The Moon, that melancholy mother of hounds,

Mars, that mad man made for war,

And the Earth, that ever-changing pillar of ease, loved by those who watch, feared by those who are.

These are the beings who have won, who killed, who survived, who earned their place in the sky, joining that solitary Sun, the first chosen one, in an everlasting life of watching the games unfold.

The Sun set on a scorched plain, the sands of destructions blowing away in that subtle breeze. As his light dwindled the Stars flickered into existence, powerful in numbers and unwavering, overlooked by all but the Moon, but she is a melancholy creature who rejects the conformity of the Sun and embraces her darkness. In her shadow Mars plots, waiting for his time to shine like his predecessors, but he isn’t patient, he abandons his morals and puts himself first for once, revelling in the time he has bought himself and enjoying his newfound feelings of power. And out of this act of violence, the Earth starts to regrow, with sunflowers rising on that long forgotten scorched plain which remembers a time before betrayal, a time which welcomed trade and honour. It’s here that the Earth returns, solitary and as strong as the Moon, and leaves a trail of poppies in his wake.

Hi! I love all things life series and someone mentioned a lack of Joel POV appreciation in the fan fiction side of things, so I have started my attempt at bringing his POV to the front! (With a little bit of watcher lore, I’ve recently gotten obsessed)

This is only a WIP, but if anyone is interested I will happily write more (I’ll probably write more anyway)
