Post-Art Fight Update (ya boy needs rest)

Hello folks! Yes, I hear you, "Learner Art Fight is over give us art". However, I needed to recover after 1 month of non-stop drawing and neglecting everything on my backlog.

This means, I need some time before I can post things. I needed a break, y'all, bare with me. So, several things will be announced here:

Commissions will be open again August 4 2025, West Indonesian Time. I am prioritizing this because I got very little money during July, so please hold your horses, future buyers.

All activities regarding @technicianuprisingau will continue again August 13 2025. This is so I can have some time doing comms, but might be faster or slower depending on the traffic.

A report regarding my ArtFight activities will be shown at the end of next week, at minimum - this also includes 5 posts of art showcase (god help whoever gets pinged) and links + reblogs to any defenses I got that did get posted to Tumblr!

And there is something special that will be announced to the TU blog as well! Check one of the reblogs.

I hope everyone is having a fantastic time nonetheless, and once again, thank you for everyone who's been attacking, defending, or just doing chains with me during ArtFight. Very appreciated guys <3 I love you all

DREAM LAND AU: The Armor

When Bandana Tails finally finds Kirby Amy, he didn't lose time to tell her everything that happened and asks for her help with Meta Sonic's mask still on his hand.

After hearing all the thing that happened while she was taking a nap, the pink hedgehog remembered the fox those times when Meta Knight had lost control in the past and reassures him promising that everything is going to be fine. After all, the knight has been a pain for her in the neck for his persistence.

The moment of calm didn't last much, after reuniting they were soon attacked by invaders and the two of them made their way fighting.

Enemies, robots, all of them were defeated by the duo while looking at how the King Knuckles people also tried to stop the invaders from expanding their territory far away. And also, while fighting, the little fox took some time to inspect the robots that their enemies left while running.

Collecting robotic pieces on the way, he assembled a prototype of a computer able to enter the enemies system (the miles electric of this AU). And when he and Kirby Amy find the first Invader Armor with a pilot the fox ask to the pink hedgehog for an opening to test the device out.

Even if the armor seemed like a formidable opponent, Amy ends up cornering it enough for Tails to connect the Proto-Device and force the pilot to be ejected (Rocket Team style) and they both are left with an empty armor!

Experimenting a little, the fox notices that the stats of the armor are based on his pilot, so he rests the armor system and ask Kirby Amy to test the armor as a pilot while he checks how it works. A little unsure but trusting the fox instincts, she gets in only for the armor to take over her copy ability in the process (and of course giving Amy her own pilot ability).

Impressed with the result, Bandana Tails asks the pink hedgehog to try the armor himself but when he got in there was not a flashing answer like the one the armor had with Kirby Amy.

A little disappointed, the fox told Amy that maybe his lack of powers was the reason for the lack of reaction in the machine, only to receive an answer from a voice totally different from Amy's:

-That's not true.

Both of them stayed in silence, looking around they tried to find the source of the peculiar voice.

-The system can only set an established configuration at the time for an specific pilot.

Looking at each other without being able to process what was happening, both of them looked at the pair of bulbs at the center of the armor that for some reason resembled a pair of eyes.

-It can Talk?!

-... - there was a small silence that made both of them doubt what they heard, at least for a moment before getting an answer - ...Yes?

What a timing... well... as you may see, I'm stuck in ArtFight right now! So consider this AU to be kinda on hiatus during July!

But don't you worry! I'm still writing for the next chapter whenever I am on the road and not having enough time. So don't fret. If possible, I'll try to release the next chapter as quick as possible. It's still slow - again, ArtFight - but like. Y'know!! It's an once-a-year thing.

After so long, a new chapter! Eat up children, this one's 9k+ words! How? Why? No clue! I genuinely have no clue! All to write a child riding a mechanical suit for the first time in his entire life! How fun! This will not totally blow up at everyone's faces!

Hi there, to those who entered the line! Apologies for my silence in the main blog as well as this one, due to personal issues I will not disclose as much. I am paranoid in releasing non-canon art thanks to it, but don't worry. Eventually we will get this ball rolling, starting from here.

Outside the fact there is a new banner for new chapter releases (made by yours truly *wink wink*), the new announcements are...

1. New Soundtrack List

While this is not something I've been requested, I still wanna make it easier for people to check older songs. And thus, we have a google doc that will be storing all the music used in the fic. You can check it here below!

It's still rather unpolished, but I promise, we could get better stuff as time goes by. Remember, you can always contribute for new art and all that jazz - check the blog's intro post for more information.

2. I am creating a species guide!

I know, I know, perhaps too early to make OCs for this universe, but, please, have some patience, y'all. To ensure that your OCs do not clash with the Technician Uprising universe, I've decided to create a list of species that you can create. Some species are free for all to create, some are more restricted, just pay attention to each of them.

"But Learner! When will you post it?" Good question. I'll try to write this in-between chapter work and pretty much everything else. Know that it exists, that's all about it.

DISCLAIMER: There will be no microtransaction included in this species guide. There is no money required to make restricted species, this just means they are meant to be rare. Please, hold thy horses.

3. There is already a headstart on World 1 Chapter 4!

Yes, it was in the works, whilst the behemoth that is World 1 Chapter 3 got worked on. Not much yet, but it will be continued. Just have patience, everyone!

8k+ words just for a child riding a mech suit for the first time. This is the longest chapter so far. What has this world turned to. Help me.

I just need to reread the already beta-read excerpt and we should be ready. I think. This might be the first time I didn't use any grammar checker to recheck the whole thing because this particular beta reader was much better than I thought, so we will see how this goes...
