Gems AU!

Gen is a black pearl made for white diamond’s entertainment. He does magic tricks and other performances for white. Other gems took notice of Gen’s performance and asked him for a show. He decided to sneak away from his post and perform his magic tricks for other gems. White decided to punish him with her white ray, but got distracted by an explosion, leaving Gen half corrupted. He started calling himself Gen after the corruption, it was getting tedious to come up with an excuse why a black pearl had a half white gem.

The explosion was caused by “Senku” or Bloodstone who was engaging in his latest experiments with the peridots. He’d often sneak into their labs and craft experiments with them. His latest invention blew up the lab, causing white to leave Gen to investigate. Senku was caught but his brilliance was invaluable, as was his inventions so he was let off with a warning.

Senku was a codename Taiju and Yuzuriha came up with as they often get up to hijinks.
