Exhibition that I took to New Designers, London in June of 2023! I tried to capture the feeling of a dream-like state with a psychedelic twist, my concept for this project was the 1960s/70s psychedelic aesthetic meets dream theory. These designs were inspired by the 1800s Art Nouveau Movement that was adopted later in the 1960s for bold, colourful art and advertisement posters. I used this style within repeat patterns and placement prints for unisex fashion fabrics aimed at people who love all things weird and wonderful!

Patterns for my collection- Psychedelic Dreamin, this design is translatable to fashion and interior but due to my theme of the 1960s aesthetic- I chose to create a product board based on fashion.

This repeat pattern was created using Adobe Illustrator to create spiralled motifs, I then took the motifs into photoshop and created this pattern that is a part of my Psychedelic Dreamin.

"Fairy Nouveau", a design featured in my Psychedelic Dreamin' collection. this piece was inspired by the Art Nouveau movement in the 1800s that later was adopted by the 1960s for psychedelic poster designs. This was my reasoning for adding two more colour themes that are much brighter than the original.

Patterns for my collection- Psychedelic Dreamin, due to my theme of the 1960s aesthetic- I chose to create a product board based on fashion. The middle two designs were created using photoshop to select areas of all of my designs in this collection, so that I could turn them into a pattern that resembles patchwork. I did this as patchwork fashion was a popular style in the 1960s and 70s.

This was my reasoning for adding another colour theme that is much brighter than the original.
