Thinking about Bumblebee and Starscream moving to earth because Bumblebee is chosen to be a diplomat for Cybertron. All the humans love him and he becomes the poster child mascot of cybertron but everyone hates Starscream. Every other day he’s trending on twitter because he made another controversial statement about child murder or something. When people find out that they’re each others conjunx everyone tries to convince Bee to leave. They’ll be a post about something Bee did and all the comments will be filled with people asking if he’s left Starscream yet. Starscream catches wind of this and decides to hold a big wedding to spite them. He invites human dignitaries and other cybertronions, and even gets it legally registered. It’s the first wedding of its kind but no one is happy because it’s Starscream and bumblebee.

I like to think of Nyon as crowded with like. Really bad streets and million year old buildings that should be on its last legs but aren’t. Prayer services at the same hours every day. A heavy cultural/religious background with many churches and mosques and overall places of worship. Small shrines. An intensely diverse area where people barely leave for long periods of time because of how alien the rest of cybertron seems in comparison to Nyon’s organized chaos. A port looking over a sea that occupies half the planet, non-sentient ships made to be large enough to fit over fifty bots of varying classes… transport ships to small isolated islands and an export of cybertronian fish to all capitals. By all means a city that has every right to be rich, and was extremely wealthy once before corruption took root in their politics. Hot Rod working odd jobs at the port and fishing with fishermen and listening to their tales. Fishing slowly becoming obsolete as only older mecha do it and overfishing + rich people destroying river banks and common fish routes destroying the market little by little. Hot Rod making friends with older mecha who saw the “glory days” and mourn the beauty of Nyon while still calling it a beautiful city, with only the need to be truly loved for it to shine again.

I don’t think people quite understand what it is like to mourn your home. I don’t think Hot Rod burning Nyon was only a loss due to the people lost, it was a loss of identity, a loss of cultural significance. Nyon had been a sanctuary and a holy place, you could see that from Acroplex. I think about cybertronians and the inherent loss of identity the war brings on a lot

To me, the biggest difference between Optimus and Rodimus is that Optimus' goal is to achieve peace, while Rodimus' end goal is to put an end to the suffering; and while achieving peace = ending the suffering, putting an end to the suffering =/= achieving peace.

The best example I can think of for this is what happens on Nyon.

Zeta Prime began draining the civilians of Nyon, literally bleeding them out, so that he could use their energon to power his Omega Destroyers. Before and during this whole thing Rodimus —then Hot Rod— gets labelled an insurgent, a terrorist, because he's opposing Zeta Prime. The Omega Destructors ruthlessly attack Nyon while Optimus is elsewhere, just finding out about the whole energon draining thing. They burn the city down, forcing the citizens out of their homes, capturing them and draining them on the streets.

Hot Rod tried to evacuate the city but it is futile. There is nowhere to run and the Omega Destroyers won't stop at Nyon, they'll drain all of Cybertron. He can't save his home or his people, he can't fight the Destroyers. So Hot Rod does the one thing he CAN do.

He activates the phase-charges and blows up Nyon, giving everyone there a quick death to save them from becoming Omega Destroyer fuel, saving them in the only way he can, and offlining the Omega Destroyers so that they won't ever hurt anyone else.

Hot Rod puts an end to the suffering, but he doesn't bring peace. The loss of Nyon marks the loss of thousands of people, both autobots and not. It is Optimus who, some time later, visits the ruins of Nyon and finds Metroplex, who then proceeds to create what would become Metroplex City: the first stable safe haven for all transformers —decepticons, autobots and neutrals— once the war ends. Optimus brings peace to what was once the ruins of Nyon.

Rodimus cannot fill Optimus' shoes because lbr, nobody can, and because he's not meant to. The way I see it, the matrix doesn't choose Rodimus despite what he chose to do on Nyon, but BECAUSE of the choice he made there. It isn't the matrix of peace, it is the matrix of leadership, and it takes one hell of a leader to make a decision like that and be the one to press the button.

Posting this from my TikTok. This is like an au where he broke the cycle of abuse with megaton (which took along time). It him awhile to notice the small things in like can be cherished. What should I draw next. Also the app I used for this is art studio pro on my phone that’s why the style is different. Also this is like my redesign too.

if you make an OC that you are genuinely insane over, like you are obsessed with this freak and can't stop thinking about them, then it will rub off on other people. the virus spreads
