Hot Glen Summer is the best thing I've ever heard, point blank, period. And you know what? It's true, too. Yeah, you'd have to be a little crazy to be me, I'm a hard act to mimic. Once I get my tiny taste of this summer that you're describing to me, which sounds heavenly by the way, then I can be fully ready for embracing fall. You like that one? It's a favorite of mine, too. Big fan of the dichotomy between the lyrics versus the beat, kinda wraps the whole theme of the song in a neat little bow. And it's so fun to perform. Hey, I try to have at least a few normal person brain cells left in me to be worried about movies no longer playing by the time I want to see them. But hey, once I'm back to New York, I'll give you a call. Do you have any more movies coming out this year? Or did you do the two and decide that we, as a society, would be too over the moon with a third so close together?

If you're looking for shows that are already complete, where you don't have to wait a year for the next season (which I agree with wholeheartedly) - some of my faves are Succession, Killing Eve, Girls, and Fleabag. In terms of new things that are in that waiting-for-the-next-season-send-help-ASAP phase, I also love Abbott Elementary and Loot. I feel like you can't go wrong with any of those, it's a diverse mix of genres. I was gonna add Irma Vep to the former list, but for obvious reasons didn't. I loved your portrayal of Laurie in that.

okay, i have to ask, what's everyone watching these days? i feel like i'm so behind on tv nowadays, it's not even funny. which is funny considering i'm an actress, but you know. i have to say though, not really a fan of the very long eight to ten episodes a season every two years. anyone else miss twenty two episode seasons and not having to wait a million years between seasons? it's true insanity. @swcstarter

Oh, I'll bet. That whole set just looked like it was so fun to be on. Which is why I'm campaigning not only for the sequel, but for me to be there, too. Amongst the powerhouses that are you and Hathaway and Streep and Tucci. Got it! I was going to be really sad if you didn't make your presence known sooner. The kids' birthday parties are always a blast for reconnecting, but we have to keep it up outside of that. Maybe I'll yell at Blake for her hogging me, or blame her poor sap of a husband for it - I'd prefer to blame Ryan than our shared wife, you know? Both of those names are so pretty, I kinda love it. If a third is ever in the cards, what are we thinking, Myrtle? Gladys? I love old lady names so I have plenty of ideas. Just keep playing it cool, because if you freak out, I'll freak out about adding another hot power couple to my friend list. Cool is the name of the game. The way to obtain the notorious 22 hat is under lock and key, I'd tell you if I could, but I promise to have all four of you leaving with plenty of personalized souvenirs. No stealing from your children required. Tour life is indeed crazy, but it's fun crazy! I get humbled by the fact that although I'm doing the same thing hundreds of times, there's always so many people in every crowd that it's their first time ever seeing me (kinda like Hazel, Violet, and John - is it his first time too?). Really helps me put my whole heart and soul into it. London's actually my last stop before I get a little 2 month break, fall's my summer, that kinda thing. But I do appreciate the non-creepy concern. That's how I can tell you're a mom friend, love that for me.

I mean, if you insist, I'm not about to argue. You say it's iconic now but that took multiple takes, multiple pudding cups and multiple bread rolls, probably because Annie and I couldn't take the whole thing remotely seriously. I've just been to other tours way back when you didn't have to sell your first born (sorry, Hazel) for tickets. Violet's my youngest, John and I love old lady names and so that's what we landed on for our two... something you'd hear called out at dinner time at a retirement home. Before and after sounds good, honestly, and if it seems like I'm playing it cool just know that I am in every way freaking out at the proposition. God, I'm worse than the girls – and something of a bear myself when it comes to being roused. Oh, no, when school was in session you were the talk of all of their classmates, I think all of the secrets have been thoroughly spoiled – although John and I have made jokes about one of them getting the 22 hat and me absolutely, definitely not stealing it. Enough about me, though, how are you handling that crazy tour life? I worry about you, you know, in the least creepy way possible.

Hazel, right, remind me of your littlest one's name so that it's fresh in my head. If that's the case, maybe we should do it before for them. And after for you parents. That way, they can sleep peacefully without you feeling like you have to somehow keep them awake. Or wake them up, if they're anything like me, it's like waking up a bear. Are you getting them all hyped up and spilling all my show secrets? Or leaving it a mystery so they can be surprised?

Thank goodness I didn't totally miss out on a chillaxing summer. That leaves me with about...2 weeks before I get to bust out the fall attire. Hoping that once I wrap up in London, I'll be on a river somewhere with you and with a marg. Where's your preferred spot to float at? Do you go somewhere in the south or find a place upstate? I'm having a lot of fun, yeah! Very tiring work, but it never feels like work when you're (as the kids say) living the dream. Yeah, I want to be hosed down and have the ever living shit kicked out of me in the theater seat. I saw a few Instagram reels of people looking like they actually went through a twister, that's what I want. Turbulence, but make it a movie-watching experience. Can't wait to see it. I've done it quite a few times in the past and I've gotta say that it's the cherry on top. I would say yes, that's when most kids go back to school right? When they head back to school that's the official end of summer, I say. If you manage to get back to the states before the summer ends, then consider this an official invite to hang out with me on the river. We gotta make sure you get that marg in hand too. I watched the trailer for it yesterday, and I immediately added it to my "save for later" folder on Netflix. Which I should really clean out, I have shows from like...2019 on there. Like Russian Doll, with your lovely co-star Natasha in it, what a blast that one was. I try to stay in touch with people I've worked with, yeah. Collaborations are always fun, and it's the easiest (and least awkward) when you remain on friendly terms with people. Music feels a lot like acting in that way, it's all about the connections you make with people off set or out of the studio, you know? Hi Lizzie, nice to see you again, feels like it's been ages. Other than living for the buzz about this movie that I'm definitely watching, how've you been?

i'm going to just self promote here, has anyone not seen his three daughters yet? because if you haven't i highly recommend it! it is a great movie and it's totally not because my face is in it, my lovely co-stars are really just tops! they are such great ladies and it's been so great to get in touch with them and stay in touch with them after we've wrapped up. question, does anyone still stay in touch with their former co-stars? because i feel like i might be one of the only ones who still talks to my former co-stars. For those who don't know me, i'm Lizzie. if you call me Elizabeth, i might think you're one of my sisters or my mom.

Floating in a lazy river with a cocktail might just be what wraps up our crazy packed summers with a bang. Are we considering Labor Day the last bit before fall? Because Eras takes a break right around the end of August, and I want to be on a tube, drink in hand before I can say that it's too late. I'd tell you what I've been up to if it hasn't been annoyingly obvious, but the better question is where can I go to get the 4DX Twisters experience, and why have I not done it yet? I want to be jostled around in a theater ASAP, Glen. The original is a classic movie in my book, I just know the remake you did must've been awesome.

Alright y'all, I've gotta know what everyone has been up to this summer season? Normally, my summer would be jammed packed with being on the river in a floatie or kayak with an adult beverage in stow, but this summer has been crazy hectic. Long titles are long and I tend to operate on single word things, if that wasn't obvious - is one of my go-to comfort movies that I put on whenever I remember it exists in my insane life on the road. Are you all really coming? Amazing, cannot wait to welcome you to the Eras Tour, although it feels entirely overdue. Is it everyone's first show? Couldn't forget your daughters if I tried, that haircut on your oldest really was everything. I hope she knows that she rocked the heck out of it.
