I've been fist fighting gravity ever since I've learned to breathe but Heather keeps me on my feet and I love her

This is an image from one of my most recent shoots. Imagined by our director @whosrosstheisen , lighting designed by our director of photography @jmemerick and executed by our one man lighting team @mattymcclelland. But this is a still from the camera I built. Starting with the RED Scarlet W 5k with the @woodencamera cage and shoulder rig. Then lens wise we used the rokinon cine because of budget and didn’t need anything super fancy also we used the DJI follow focus which is pretty solid for this rig. Since we didn’t need a full FI+Z (Focus, Iris, ZOOM) set up. And for video signal we used the teradek bolt 500 to our directors monitor so Ross could see what Josh was seeing and so I could pull focus wirelessly which was difficult because sharing a monitor isn’t always easy and our monitor was as sharp as I wanted. Building cameras and figuring out how things work is my passion. I Am a Camera assistant. (at Ohio HD Video)

Working with the @freeflysystems Movi Pro with a RED had been a dream of mine for a while and this post is a bit late but recently got to play with this rig. I wouldn’t have been able to without the help of the @ohiohd guys, they answered all my questions and problems I ran into, also without @jmemerick for trusting me to touch a camera and letting me play with stuff I’ve never touched before. We didn’t have a boom pole and I had to do audio and follow the noise so I attached the @zoomsoundlab H6 we had on a shoulder rig and took an articulating arm with a clamp on both end to put my mic where I wanted it. Wasn’t pretty but made it work Photo: @brewer3

Last weekend was my first time working with RED. I understand the hype now it totally preforms and it works like a dream. Thanks @jmemerick for trusting me enough to AC with a camera I’ve never touched and putting together a killer crew and producing a great production. Photo: @brewer3
