The beauty of the Brahmatal trek
Every place in India is beautiful and has its own charm.  These destinations are historical treasures in our country.  Many of these destinations have developed into tourist destinations.  So that the public can learn about and explore the area's beauty and history.  Some of these destinations are centered around the monuments.  These monuments are ancient and were built thousands of years ago.  An example of such a temple is the Kedarnath temple.  The temple was built thousands of years ago by  heroes who are mentioned in Hindu scriptures.  The people who were involved in the construction of the temple were the heroes of the Mahabharata epic.  Pandavas were the ones who built it,but later the temple was rebuilt by Adi Shankaracharya.  Some of the ancient temples have been completely destroyed due to natural calamities, war, and other reasons.  But some destinations still remain unscathed.  Some of them are changed into adventurous activities like trekking.
Adventure treks
There are many destinations in India that offer adventure activities.  Many beautiful temples have been turned into adventure trekking centers.  The topography of Northern India makes trekking possible. Most of the treks in India originate in the northernmost states. The state of Uttarakhand has a line of popular treks. The Chota Char Dham trek is one of them. This series is a trekking experience through four temples. Kedarnath,Badrinath, Gangotri, and Yamunotri are the four temples in the Chota Char Dham trek. Kedarkantha Trek is another trek that is based in Uttarakhand. There are some popular summer treks, like the Kedarnath trek. The Kedarnath trek is based in the Rudraprayag district. The Kedarnath trek circles around the Kedarnath temple. The beginning of the trek is fixed at  Gaurikund, which is the basecamp. Winter treks like the Brahmatal trek,Ali Bedni Bugyal, and Roopkund are also beautiful. The Roopkund Trek is a mysterious trek that begins at a place called Lohajung. The Ali Bedni Bugyal is one of the most beautiful treks in Uttarakhand. The Valley of  Flowers, located in Uttarakhand, is one of the most beautiful treks because of the flowers that grow during the monsoon months.
Brahmatal trek: winter trek
The Brahmatal  trek is one of the outstanding treks that are positioned across Uttarakhand. The Brahmatal trek is one of the top-notch treks among all the other winter treks. The Brahmatal trek stays open throughout the entire twelve months of the year. The Brahmatal trek is especially beautiful during the winter months. The Brahmatal trek gives an amazing view of the two Himalayan peaks called Trishul and Nanda Ghunti. The best time to do the Brahmatal trek is during the winter months. The Brahmatal trek centers around the Brahmatal lake. The lake got its name from a deity called Lord Brahma. He is an important part of the holy trio in Hinduism. The holy trio mainly consists of the three gods called Brahma, Vishnu, and Shiva. Each one of them is one of the most worshiped gods in India. There are several stories about them. Lord Brahma sat next to this lake and meditated. And hence, the lake was called the Brahmatal Lake. Like its name implies, the Brahmatal trek portrays a peaceful environment. There is another lake called  Bekhal Lake, which was the place where Lord Brahma hid and rested. These two lakes are the two important destinations on the Brahmatal trek.
Lohajung
Lohajung village in the Chamoli district of Uttarakhand is another beautiful destination.  The Lohajung village has the most beautiful Chaulai crops.  These crops grow in the Lohajung in three different colors.  These crops make the village colorful.  Lohajung village is the basecamp for the Brahmatal trek.   Lohajung village is also an ideal place for village tourism.  The trekkers can explore the village and learn about the people who live there. The trekkers can learn about the festival, cuisine, habits, and other things about the residents.  The Brahmatal trek package has all the details for Lohajung village.  The Brahmatal trek package is affordable and can be booked by anyone. The Brahmatal trek package also has information about destinations and other important things about the trek.  The Lohajung village has a large number of pastures, which are ideal for setting up campsites for the trekkers.  The tourist can either rest at the campsite or stay in the guesthouses of Lohjaung village.  These guesthouses are built by the residents of the village. These guesthouses are equipped with the facilities that are needed by trekkers.  Lohajung also has a few restaurants that serve high-quality North Indian food, snacks, and tea.  The trekkers can eat at these restaurants.  The Brahmatal trek path is well laid out, and it is not that far from civilization. The trekkers should be careful on the trek. The trekkers should never venture out on their own. Being in  a group is much better than solo trekking in an unfamiliar place.

Lohajung village has some activities that can be done.  One of them is exploring the village and learning about the locals' way of life. The trekkers can also learn about the festivals that are celebrated here.  Camping is the second activity in Lohajung village. The camping site for the Brahmatal trek is positioned on the pasture fields of the village.  These two are the main activities of the Lohajung village.  The Lohajung village also offers restaurants and guesthouses for trekkers. Lohajung village still lacks a lot of basic necessities like  ATM booths and petrol pumps. So the trekkers have to carry money and fuel with them. The Kedarnath temple is the heart and soul of the Kedarnath Yatra. Pilgrims take this pilgrimage at least once in their lifetime to receive the blessings of Lord Shiva who is worshipped to attain Moksha or liberation from sins. It was estimated by the government that almost 15 lakh people did Kedarnath Yatra last year. The last decade has made the temple popular among the masses. The coronavirus outbreak has put a pause on the Kedarnath Yatra for some time, but the temple was reopened by the government with stringent rules to avoid transmission still present date these rules are followed. Earlier there were no travel companies that were offering Kedarnath Yatra Package that can be customized by the pilgrims who are visiting the temple. The temple was built after an event that happened after the war of Kurukshetra. Pandavas were suffering mentally because of the way made they slew their cousins Kauravas. They were the blood relatives of the Pandavas. Lord Shiva was very well aware of the situation but he was disappointed in the Pandavas. Lord Shiva hid in Guptkashi avoiding contact between him and the Pandavas. He took the form of Nandi, which is a bull so that Pandavas will not be able to recognize him from the herd, and they moved towards him. But during that moment he disappeared into the earth's surface. And at that moment the body ruptured and broke off into five parts. Each of the parts emerged at a different location in the Rudraprayag district. One of the locations where the part emerged was where the Kedarnath temple was assembled by the Pandavas.

Kedarnath Yatra Tour Guide
The Kedarnath Yatra's beginning date is decided with the respect to the opening date of the Kedarnath temple which is fixed on the 25th of April. And also the close date of the Kedarnath Yatra concerning the closure of the Kedarnath temple is decided on the 14th of November 2023. These dates are always updated and released by the official website. Nowadays Kedarnath Yatra is one of the most sought-after pilgrimages. Once the temple is reopened a large number of people come and visit the temple. The temple is open for six months when the season is favorable. Out of the seasons, the summer season is the most considerate because of the moderate temperature. The monsoon season makes the place go through the sudden shower and landslides. So it will be dangerous for people to explore the place without proper knowledge about the climatic conditions and geography of the place. The pre-winters in Kedarnath Dham can also be considered ideal for the Kedarnath Yatra trek. The trek cannot be done when the place experiences winter. The winter season comes with heavy snowfall that submerges the place. The snow creates blocks and makes transportation and trekking seem impossible. The place also stays closed for 6 months during the harsh winters. And then the deity at the temple is carried to the Omkareshwar temple which is part of Ukhimath. The place Ukhimath is positioned in the Rudraprayag, which is one of the districts of Uttarakhand. Ukhimath will be a good addition to the Kedarnath Yatra Package.
Tumblr media

History and Facts
The temple is honored by devotees of Lord Shiva because the temple has surpassed many calamities and is more than 1000 years old. The temple has been under the ice caps for 400 years such that the walls are painted with yellow lines that are caused by glacial activities. The temple holds supremacy in surviving the Uttarakhand 2013 floods. A huge rock name along with the flood changed the movements of waters and thus it guarded the temple. The rock is known as the Bhim - Shila. There are also other places near the temple like the Bhiravnath temple, Tungnath temple, Guptkashi, and others which are an extra addition to the Kedarnath Yatra Package. As per the historical records the temple was brought to life by the Pandavas. They were crowned as the victors of the Kurukshetra war. The Kauravas were defeated and killed. This incident brought disappointment in the eyes of Lord Shiva. He considered Pandavas guilty of killing their blood. So he decided to avoid them at all costs. They came searching for him in Guptkashi, and when Pandavas saw Lord Shiva, he was incarnated as Nandi the bull. As soon as Lord Shiva saw them, he dodged them by disappearing into the earth's surface. And when this happened the body of the bull broke off into different parts. These 5 parts appeared at different locations. And the location at which the hump was seen was built into the Kedarnath temple. The location where the arms of the bull came out was built into the Tungnath temple. The Rudranath temple was brought to life at a place where the face of the bull appeared. The Madhyamheshwar temple was constructed where the stomach of the bull appeared. The Kalpeshwar temple was built where the hair of the bull appeared. The Kedarnath Yatra Package can be made according to the likes and dislikes of the pilgrims.

Kedarnath temple
The temple is at an estimated height of 3,583 meters from sea level. The temple is located near the Mandakini river and is encircled by the Kedarnath mountains. To be precise the temple is positioned in the Rudraprayag district which is part of the Uttarakhand. The temple is also one of the Panch Kedar and the 12 Jyotirlingas. The temple was constructed by the Pandavas many years ago. It happened after the war of Kurukshetra which is described in the epic Mahabharata. No other scriptures other than Skanda Purana mentions the temple. The Pandavas were in agony after killing their brothers to regain their reign of Hastinapur. The war ended in tragedy. And this tragedy was not tolerated by Lord Shiva. He decided to punish the Pandavas for their crimes. The price they had to pay was that the path to eternal liberation was denied to them. So to explain everything to Lord Shiva, they searched for him. He was in Guptkashi, hiding from the Pandavas. Lord Shiva took the attire of a bull called Nandi. And when Pandavas came near him, he swiftly disappeared into the earth's surface. During the action, the body of the bull got divided into 5 parts. The part of the bull that appeared at the site where the Kedarnath temple was built was the hump. The arms of the bull emerged at the point where the Tungnath temple was built. The Rudranath temple was built where the face of the bull appeared. The stomach of the bull appeared at a point where the Madhyamaheshwar temple was constructed. The Kalpeshwar temple was built at a point where the hair of the bull appeared from the earth.
Weather
The best and most reasonable time for the Kedarnath Yatra is when the summer starts. Always check for the opening date before the Kedarnath Yatra Package. Choosing the right season is as important as registration. The proper season gives a sense of comfort for exploring space. The pilgrims should avoid seasons like monsoons and winters. If you are booking a trip during monsoons, you have to care the closing dates are announced and coincide with the beginning of the winter season. The winter season fills the space with snow that blocks the roads that lead to the temple. During winter the deity at the temple gets relocated to the Omkareshwar temple positioned in the Ukhimath. The transference is celebrated like a festival.
