A POEM FOR ŚRĪLA PRABHUPĀDA ============================ For the pleasure of all Vaiṣṇavas, I share my homage to Śrīla Prabhupāda that I composed for the occasion of Vyāsa-Pūjā 2019, celebrated on 25th August 2019. In the poem, I made a promise to Śrīla Prabhupāda for which I need your help, cooperation, and blessings. I want to serve all the devotees by helping them to become very strong in their devotional lives through thorough understanding of the philosophy. To this end, we are undertaking a lot of educational initiatives to help devotees locally and worldwide. We are also creating a framework for devotees who are managing the ISKM temples in various parts of the world so that the teachings and practice of Kṛṣṇa consciousness are kept to the highest standards in all our temples, just as Śrīla Prabhupāda wanted them to be. We want to do it all for the benefit of all devotees. We will release more details as our plans and work plans roll out one by one in the near future. A NEW BRAHMACARI IN ISKM ========================== International Sri Krishna Mandir Singapore officially has a new brahmacari — Radha Damodara Prabhu. He is a young boy, only 18 years old and he has taken the vow of brahmacarya. He is very sincere and hardworking and is a very good example for youngsters to follow. This is the perfection of education. As Prahlada Maharaja said in the Śrīmad Bhāgavatam 7.5.24: "One who has dedicated his life to the service of Kṛṣṇa through these nine methods (śravaṇaṁ, kīrtanaṁ, etc.) should be understood to be THE MOST LEARNED PERSON, for he has acquired COMPLETE KNOWLEDGE. Long live the saffron robes! (They are an endangered species nowadays! 😄😄) Always inspiring to see someone dedicate their lives completely to Krishna. This is real perfection! I request all devotees to kindly bless him so that he will become very, very serious in his brahmacarya vows and serve Srila Prabhupada and Lord Krishna till his very last breath and make it home, back to Godhead! Let us also not forget the support of his parents, Vira Narasimha Prabhu (his father) and Indujyoti Mataji (Indra Manikam Indu Jothi) and his siblings who have willingly and happily allowed him to become a brahmacari! In fact, interestingly, the mother has been asking us to make him a brahmacari for the past 3 years or so! The modern Women's Liberation movement is actually a Women's Entanglement Movement where the women want to have free sex and then commit the most heinous abortion and lose all chastity and suffer unending hellish life in the cycles of repeated births and deaths. Lord Krishna is the giver of liberation for all, both and women included. Real liberation means to be freed from the cycle of birth and death.
