I love anatomical art tattoos and I love tattoos that push the boundaries of hyper-realism.

I like how these are centered in American Traditional style. Yet, have a vintage feel to them. And the lettering and subject matter inspiration is completely new school.

Another post for tonight! This artist is Mr. K from Bang, Bang Forever in NYC. He specializes in, you guessed it, micro-tattoos. I haven’t got a tattoo yet from Mr. K -- but it’s on the docket for March 2017. I’ll share the experience with you guys! I believe he uses a half-needle. But I am not for sure! I’ll find out when I sit in the chair.
He’s been on my list for awhile. And his books are always pretty solid. So, it’s hard to squeeze in there. I really love the glossiness in each of his pieces. It’s not just that they are thin and micro; and perhaps girls gravitate towards that. But, there is a light-source, really this overall luminosity about them.
One of my favorites, is the piece featured. Yes, that is HEALED. I love the whimsical, fairytale vibe to it. And that’s the idea/concept around the tattoo I will be getting. Until then...
Xx,
Tasha
P.S. If Bang, Bang sounds familiar—yes the shop is owned my the celeb tattooer of the same moniker. The one who does Rhianna and such.

So, my name is Tasha and I really like tattoos. Hello! I decided to start a blog sharing all of my cool finds and unique artists I like from around the world. Really, curating a collection for myself to go back upon and look at. I needed somewhere to store it! Sometimes, I will share some of my own. And, I thought, for the first post, I would share one of mine. So here it is.
This is a geometric portrait of my dear friend, and cat, Bowie. Name after David. She has heterochromia just like he did (her left eye is hazel, and her right, blue). Bowie had been in my life for four years when I got this tattoo, and I wanted to remember her forever. It was either taxidermy or a tattoo. I thought I’d go with the later because the former was a little morbid. But don’t worry! She’s still around. She’s almost seven, now. I tell everyone she’s lasting forever. She has a special condition that her vet told me about. She’s immortal.
This tattoo was done by Mr. Walter Frank aka Sausage from Ink Master. Season 4+7. I connected with Walter really, the old-fashioned way. I saw him on Season 4 of Ink Master. Thought he was DOPE. I then saw he was opening this cool shop of his own called Revolt Tattoos with Joey Hamilton (Season 3 Ink Master); it was only a hop, skip and an airplane ride away from me. So, I called the shop. And a $200 deposit (fairly in-expensive as far as deposits go) and four-months later. I was in his chair.
I told Walter how I was really into geometric tattoos, full color, and that I wanted it to be a representational of my dear friend, Bowie, the cat. And he came up with this rad design. I gravitated toward it instantly. And then with full trust of his color theory, I let him do his thing. I really don’t like to stifle artists vision. They’re artists for a reason! Bowie’s all white, so I know that would be tough to represent. I liked the abstract, surrealistic interpretation of her. And it came-out beyond what I thought was possible. Walter is a rare tattoo-artists. He just really excels in every area. His color is def. on-point but his richness in BW is amazing, too. I will be getting my first BW tattoo from him early next year.
Back to the Bowie tattoo, this piece took two-hours, flat. Has lots of sick, thin lines and sits right above my right elbow. It’s one of my favorite tattoos. I have had two other tattoos done by Mr. Frank. And I am getting my third in Feb. 2017. Sometime, down-the-line I will share those as well.
But, don’t you worry. I have shitty tattoos, too. Sometimes, I think those are the best ones, really, because of the stories that arise with them. At the end of the day, I love all of my tattoos, shitty or not. I wouldn’t erase any of them. They mean too much to me. I’ll share more with you soon! In the mean time, I’ll share some of my favorite artists, tattoos and designs.
Xx,
Tasha
