Unpopular opinion that I’ll probably get roasted for, but season 7 is boring. There are a few episodes that I like, and some things I wish they had explored further, but overall, it’s just a boring season that never really picked up or went anywhere. The Leviathans are pretty scary monsters, but their motives never really made any sense. And Dick Roman as a villain? It’s kind of underwhelming.

oh how anger me that in S6 the showrunners decided to write castiel not communicating properly with the winchester brothers in general, and with dean in particular. I find it infuriating bc it's cheap drama to me.

I mean, after everything that happened in S4-5, they really didn't consider it necessary for Castiel to explain that stopping Raphael isn't just “stopping Raphael” or "stopping an angelic civil war" but stopping Raphael from opening Lucifer cage and triggering the Apocalypse once again.

And I can't believe it's never, ever mentioned later (I'm at season 7 end as writing this post, and if it's done later I find it CRIMINAL bc the critical moment would have been mid season 6 or even when Cas came back near the end of S7 (but before he heals Sam from his allucinations).

I know it's easy to complain years later, but what do I know, the writing could have been more rounded if they hadn't been cowards about certain things.
