Fewer cars, less noise. I am frequently annoyed by the sounds of cars and trucks that disrupt my daily walks. It’s glaringly disruptive to any conversation when horns and mufflers putput past me. Congestion pricing taxes drivers coming to midtown by car. The goal is to use the fees to support public transportation. It also cuts down on the traffic and the noise it brings.
