Sangwoo and Yoonbum AREN’T Brothers Theory
Okay hey so hear me out! I’ve seen a lot of theories saying that Sangwoo and Yoonbum are related. I disagree and here are my reasons why:
• We see in chapter 40 that Mrs. Oh is very protective and over bearing when it comes to her son. He seems to be her only shining light. You can also see she has a very low self esteem when she finds Sangwoo’s love letter. I believe that if Yoonbum was her son would she not want him in her life as well?
It could be that she used to be in a relationship with Yoonbum’s father, had bum, and then her husband left/died she gave him up to his grandma because she was so grief stricken over the death of her husband that she couldn’t bare be with her son.
Or maybe after her husband left/died and she met Sangwoo’s father he refused to bring up a child that wasn’t his and because Mrs. Oh is so lonely he was able to force her to give Yoonbum up.
But I doubt this.
• We can also all agree that the father seen in chapter 5 and chapter 40 do not look the same. However seeing as neither man had any distinguishable facial features (bar chapter 40′s man’s eyebrows) it could be that his hair wasn’t slicked back in chapter 5 and was in chapter 40.
I get that this is underwhelming and all but hold on. In chapter 1 there is plain text saying “borderline personality disorder” so I did a quick google search on the disorder.

I think we can all agree that Sangwoo fits most of these. But I also found out that borderline personality disorder is hereditary:

Meaning that it is possible that Sangwoo’s father suffers from the disorder as well. And that the man seen in chapters 5 and 40 could possibly be the same person. Sometimes he’s a great father to Sangwoo and other times he’s a nightmare.
• In chapter 33, after Yoonbum is taken back to Sangwoo’s home from the police station, his uncle arrives.
Now if Mrs. Oh is Yoonbum’s mother would Unvle Yoon not know that Sangwoo’s house was his ex-lover’s house? Seeing as Uncle Yoon and his mother are raising Mrs. Oh’s “son” he would most likely have some knowledge of were his nephew’s mother lived.
You could argue “well how did Uncle Yoon know where to find Bum?” well it’s simple: yoonbum already has had run in’s with the police, so he would have a file with family and emergency contacts. Family; Uncle Yoon. Emergency Contact; Uncle Yoon. They would most likely contacted Uncle Yoon and told him the address where they left him nephew.
Another thing I noticed is that when Uncle Yoon takes about Yoonbum’s parents he address them using past tense. Maybe they are dead and that is why Yoonbum is in the care of his uncle and grandmother.
Finally:
Now remember that Killing Stalking is a very dark and disturbing up comic and honestly anything is possible. We have already had very vile parts of Yoonbum’s past brought up so the theory that Yoonbum and Sangwoo being related may be true. I know I’m not the only one hoping it isn’t true but I guess we are all just going to have to find out later right?
Edit:
I forgot that in the first chapter it’s clearly stated that Yoonbum’s parents are dead and have been since he was a child...so... yeah.
