it wasn’t unusual for him to be out this late , especially in the quarter, especially when the artist inside of him had a sudden spark of muse.  && he certainly wasn’t inexperienced with the occasional onlooker or two --- but he had felt the same pair of eyes on him for a while now, && it was starting to trigger his curiosity. ‘ if you’re going to gawk at me , you might as well give me your opinion .’ the words fell as he finished his last stroke, placing the brush down beside the canvas . ‘ it’s been a while since i’ve heard a bit of honesty .’

‘ whiskey , on the rocks .’ a slender frame slides on to one of the stools set right at the bar in one singular graceful movement .she wasn’t having a particularly good day , or past few years in fact. she had been running for so long that she almost forgot what it was like to stop, && actually live life . && frankly , it was utterly boring . ‘ you know what ? you might as well leave the bottle. it’s been a long day. ’

          working shifts at a local bar was a great way to listen on people’s conversations, the more information she got, the more she was prepared for the fight that was soon to come. wiping the surface of the bar, her head lifted as the door bell chimed. “take a seat, the weathers awful out there today. can i get you anything?”

‘ what seems to be the issue , love ? ’ he calls out from behind her , a hint of amusement lingering on his lips . the irony of the situation didn’t fail him , in fact , if it had been anyone else he wouldn’t have stopped. but her words made the hybrid chuckle , && he couldn’t help himself from inspiring terror in the masses on a regular basis, so he takes another step forward , attempting to peer at the engine . ‘ i’ll admit, i was never quite the mechanic , however it probably isn’t the safest for a young woman like yourself out here all alone after dark . i’ll give you a lift , you never know when a crazed serial killer might be lurking about. ’

          “give me a damn break!” sneaker kicking the edge of her broken down car, as she tried to inspect the engine and clearly failing at trying to fix it. her phone balancing to give her light in the night sky. she didn’t feel safe, hairs on the back of her neck on edge and her heart racing through her chest. “that’s it, i’m gonna die by a crazed serial killer- again”

Bio ▸

katherine was born in bulgaria to a noble && wealthy family . she was very beautiful && she adored the attention that came with it . however , it ended up being the downfall of her human life as when she became pregnant by a man who she swore loved her , he abandoned her && her family shamed her for the illegitimate birth of her bastard daughter. they refused to accept it , even going as far as giving the child away --- not even letting her hold her for a moment . they sent her away to be the ward of a family in england && she quickly adapted to the culture . 

it was there that she got caught up with the mikaelsons family drama , once again falling for a man who only planned on using her for her body --- although this time in a much different way. she discovered she was a doppleganger of her ancestor whose blood was used to curse the original hybrid, && in turn only her blood could break it. she fled with the help of a man she tricked into  loving her , but it wasn’t enough . klaus would chase her to the ends of the earth. so she did the only thing she could do, she tricked a vampire named rose into giving her vampire blood, && when no one was watching she ended her life , waking up as an immortal vampire . 

when she arrived back at her home in bulgaria, she found her entire family slaughtered for her betrayal to the mikaelsons . it was there that she became numb, swearing to only care for other people if it suited her needs. she’s been on the run from klaus ever since , making decisions that would only help her survive. after all, what does it matter if you’re kind or loved if you aren’t alive to enjoy it?
