Linkette was well aware of Agatha’s thoughts on letting Sophia get a sword. However... She wasn’t quite sure if she could agree on that decision. Linkette’s father had taught her the very basics of wielding a sword before he was killed and that limited knowledge carried her to avenging her parents. She couldn’t help but fear something happening to her or Agatha, thus leaving their children alone with no way of protecting themselves... 

“You already know Mother’s thoughts on giving you a weapon,” Linkette said, crossing her arms over her chest and looking down at the girl. “A sword is a dangerous device. You could kill yourself by wielding it the wrong way. So no, I’m going to get you one.”

A pause...

“...but, if you wish, I can train you to use one. It will take a long time and you must have patience. But if you listen and learn well, I will reward you with your own blade once I deem you ready. Understood?”

‘One truth and one lie?’ the blond signed in response to the question. That was tricky... Linkette wasn’t the best liar, for her sister seemed to get all of the creativity in the gene pool. But she supposed she could give it a try.

‘My birth name isn’t actually ‘Linkette’, and I have a younger sister.’

So she was pretty bad at this game, so it seemed. But, you never know...maybe all of her files are wrong about her birth name or her having a younger sister... Of course, they’re not; Linkette is just Linkette and she has a sister. But it was all she could think of on the spot.
