Hello ! How are you ? 🖤 Do you think you could write headcanons for the Ghouls going to karaoke (pleaaaase) ? I just had this thought of them absolutely having a blast while singing Bohemian Rhapsody (don’t ask me why 💀😭)

- The ghouls are allowed one sort of fun outing to town per week

- Copia is required to chaperone but he’ll let them pick what they want to do and where they want to go, he just goes along to supervise

- To keep everything fair, the ghouls get to write down one idea each for what they want to do, they put the ideas in a hat, and draw one each week until they’ve done everyone’s idea

- On Friday night the pack gathers around the hat and Cirrus pulls a slip with the words “Karaoke bar” on it

- So karaoke it is

- On Saturday night all 8 of them and Copia pile into one of the ministry’s van and off they go

- They enter a mostly empty little karaoke bar and get a private room for singing

- They also order a bunch of drinks

- Swiss insists on going first and gives a very unique rendition of No Hands

- Dew and Sunshine cheer him on of course

- Cirrus and Aether absolutely kill their choice of Ain’t No Mountain High Enough

- The others can’t help but give Mountain an amused glance every time his name comes up in the song

- He is very much not amused

- Cumulus goes next and sings Halo by Beyoncé so beautifully that Copia rethinks her being an Air Ghoul because she HAS to be part siren

- “Show off” Dew jokingly mutters when she’s done but Rain slaps him on the arm anyway

- Sunshine decides she wants to sing I Won’t Say I’m In Love from the Hercules soundtrack and gets Swiss and Aether to be the muses

- They do the little dances and everything

- Like i’m talking full on movie accurate choreography

- Rain and Mountain seem sort of reluctant at first but once they realize Disney songs are an option they are all for it

- They do Under The Sea from The Little Mermaid, Hakuna Matata from The Lion King, I’ll Make A Man Outta You from Mulan, and more

- Aether cuts them off after they sing The Bare Necessities for the second time

- After Dew has one too many margaritas (he drank 6) he BODIES Rap God by Eminem and Tap In by Saweetie

- When he starts singing CPR by Cupcakke Copia knows it’s time to go

- “But youuu haven’t sung anything yet Cardi!” Sunshine drunkenly points out from the couch where she’s leaning all of her body weight on a fast asleep Cirrus

- All the ghouls turn to Copia with nods of agreement

- “I— eh, eh-heh. That is true. I suppose one more song wouldn’t hurt.” Copia agrees

- He wanted to do Piano Man by Billy Joel but that wasn’t an option

- So he goes with Bohemian Rhapsody

- And boy was that a choice

- As soon as the ghouls hear the intro they get so hyped up

- Copia sings the intro and verse 1 and 2 by himself

- Dew and Aether vocalize the guitar solo but it’s really off pitch

- The ghouls join in verse 3 and they all do the high pitched voice

- They do the little call and response with Copia

- Sunshine, Rain, and Cumulus song the “Let me go” part and the other five ghouls sing the “We will not let you go” part

- When it’s all over they end up super giggly and in high spirits

- Then they got kicked out because Dew got too excited and lit a couch on fire

- But it was an overall 10/10 experience

Also does anyone know of that tiktok with that group of boys wearing like navy blue bedsheets as togas and lip syncing to I Won’t Say I’m In Love cause that’s exactly what I imagine Swiss and Aether doing while Sunshine sings. Just imagine is Jake singing after having a sex dream about Marley, but Marley isn’t ready to lose her virginity, knowing that, Bree would call him and bla bla bla he cheats, but while doing so he only thinks about Marley, which makes him more ashamed of what he did

-this would happen before the whole cheating thing, Jake would be giving private classes to Bree, Marley would notice how she’s into him so in order to guarantee that she wouldn’t do something, she would get all well dressed and pretty while Bree would also be doing the same before their practice in a montage of them in their rooms getting ready, they would get next to Jake at the same time as the song ends, Jake would ultimately cancel his practice with Bree and walk hand in hand with Marley, Bree would be glaring at them as they walk away

-first, fuck R. Kelly, you cursed this amazing song, second, i’m not the biggest fun of the numbers where both the glee club and NYC gang sung together, in fact this would be a Tina solo for me until I listened to the version with Christina Aguilera and immediately though about Rachel, Tina would be singing about her frustration of now having a love after breaking up with Mike, singing about how the boys could do anything they want with her body, Rachel would be singing about how the media and NYADA and idk Brody could do anything to her body, Tina would sing the Gaga’s parts while Rachel would sing Christina’s parts

-this was the hardest to choose, when I hear this song I feel like I’m being abducted by an ufo. Gaga describes this song as an orgasm … yeah. But she also says that this song is kind of an anti capitalist anthem and that we should always put art in first place and view it as the most important thing to an artist, which fits Artie’s directing career, often doing something in favor of the concept instead of doing something to please the audience (Rachel’s dress in WSS) or make logical sense (juke box in Grease)

-the song talks about Gaga’s rape, and how she felt gross and disgusting like a pig, while I don’t think Ryder felt that way when he was molested, he was affected by it in a way that he has a hard time trusting others, specially women, I think singing this song would release some tension, it’s very aggressive in a sense that it has a lot of screaming, and his voice is very raspy so he could do a great job

-“I am so fab, check it out, I’m blonde, I’m skinny, I’m rich, and I’m a little bit of a bitch” this convinced me that’s her song. Out of all the girls in season 4, Kitty and Unique and definitely the biggest divas, I don’t think Kitty sang in the episode so it would be nice seeing her singing this

Fashion! sung by Kurt, Mercedes, Rachel and Santana in season 5

-these four have the craziest harmony together, How Will I Know was amazing and I’m still bitter Getting Better was recorded, filmed and scrapped and all we have is a pic, this song is them, the original four divas of the club, the song is about feeling powerful through fashion, that’s their anthem

-I picture this as Unique, in an attempt to escape the bullying, she would stop dressing like a mom and go back to dressing like Artie and using her deadname, the rest of the club would try help her see that this isn’t her true self, they would perform songs to her and after their plan work they would go to the auditorium where she would sing this song, embracing Unique in a fabulous dress with the others dancing along, “introducing, ladies and gentleman, Mary Jane Holland Unique Adams!”

-the song talks about addiction and depression, while Will wasn’t addicted to drugs or an alcoholic it was very visible how much he was affected by Terri’s fake pregnancy and Emma’s relationships with Ken and Carl, I find Wemma to be one of the cutest couples and it took so long till they were fully happy, Dope would be Will’s ballad to Emma, how she brings light to his life and how much he needs her more than dope, drugs? Alcohol? Rachel singing? I don’t know

-this song is about falling in love and traveling the world, I considered Brittana for this but I ultimately choose St. Berry, while I’m not their biggest fan, the song is about finding true love after a rough pat, several people don’t think they’ll find true love after a partner’s death, but Rachel found, she is happy again

-this song was done very perfectly, all five of them sound really good, Sam and Ryder in particular, never in my life I would guess that two straight men would slay so hard in a Gaga song, I also may like the beat slightly more than the original

Are you open to interacting with duplicates?

The short answer is yes.

The longer answer (I’m at work and typing this on my phone so excuse any typos or erractic chaos which really happens when I’m not mobile ig) is that I have insane anxiety and will never reach out to a solo Jace blog first. Even being in the rpc for like a thousand years has not killed this for me. Even multis, I aggressively scroll past their Jace responses because I don’t want it to look like I’m copying them or their headcanons or verses. I know we’re all gonna have similar-ish stuff (especially people who actually understand their characters) but I know I for sure put way too much of my stupid time into this specific blog to want it to be seen as a copy of someone else’s, if that makes sense?

Like reaching out to me privately, before or after following (I know my dms are set to following only) via inbox or even commenting on my ooc posts is the best way to get me to be like “oh cool they are here for fun and wanna have fun together we can do that” but otherwise, I’m gonna immediately think the worst because I am the worst (it’s never personal).

*** adepts cannot catch illnesses.    any condition that has the possibility of having   /   being a detriment to the adept gets phased out.    similarly,   poisonous elements have no long-lasting adverse effects on them.    

**** to put it simply,   after a certain age,   an adept’s body stops experiencing cell death.    it’s not that they’re left in stasis,   but that when natural cell death should occur,   the cells repair themselves instead.

NOTES. 

his biological parents are deceased.    he begins to live with a foster family,   the kotabes,   in his mid-teenaged years and maintains the closest familial relationship with the kotabe daughter and three years his elder,   sei.    though their relationship is all-around positive,   the kotabes aren’t his parents,   but sei is his sister,   as far as he’s concerned.

the vision in his right eye is significantly worse than in his left due to ocular trauma.    it's not noticeable when he has both eyes open because his left eye overcompensates,   but if he closes his left eye,   his surroundings become a lot more difficult to navigate.

he doesn’t cry.    can’t,   to be precise.    he used to be able to,   but he’s been unable to for far longer now.

sometime in his thirties,   after he comes back to take up a more permanent residence in japan again,   kaien starts keeping an albino burmese.    he names her daikon.

he invented the color purple and green and red and yellow and   *continues naming colors until i run out of ones the human eye can visualize and then i just start making more up*

he was an honors student in highschool and university;   genuinely loved to be at school!    his parents instilled strong education-is-important core values just by virtue of existing.

is it cringe if i say his charm-based stats are maxed...    he’s a social butterfly   —   people gravitate towards him because he’s genuine,   both with himself and with others,   and never puts on a front.    you’ll always know where you stand with him,   for better or worse.

love languages are physical touch and acts of service.    if he loves you,   he’ll really go out of his way for you;   something he doesn’t do for everyone.    

he’s a great cook,   but he especially loves to bake because his mother loved to bake.    ask him to make all sorts of delicious treats for you!    (he’ll do it regardless if he loves you because he wants to give you everything,   but it’s nice if you go out of your way to ask.    he’ll appreciate it.)

more sinnoh league headcanons

it’s common for most of the sinnoh league members to be well versed in multiple languages — this is because, more often than not, they’re the ones traveling to other regions rather than vice versa. i don’t have any set hc’s as to if any regions speak the same languages, but i would say that the sinnoh league is likely the most versed in the language unova speaks besides their own because unova and sinnoh seem to be close (not necessarily geographically, but there is a lot of dialogue about the sinnoh region and its inhabitants in the unova games).

i would say that they probably also know the johto language/dialect quite well too, considering that it’s hinted at that these two regions are pretty close to each other (the sinjoh ruins that are north of johto were worked on by people from both sinnoh and johto — so i assume it’s somewhere between these two regions).

the league members travel a lot. this can be seen all over the games, as most of them either have a sinnoh character in them or a mention that they’ve visited. it makes sense that they travel the most because the sinnoh gym challenge isn’t taken on a lot, so they have more spare time than most other regions.

“spare time” in the last point should be taken with a grain of salt — they may not get the most challenges, but they do work a lot around the sinnoh region. they’re probably the regional league that do the most hands-on work around their own region because of the lack of challenges, and who do the most international affair work.

sometimes, they’re even called to do overseas work in order to investigate disruptions in other regions due to them not being as widely recognizable. it’s an added plus that they can speak a language other than the one native to the region they’re working in because it makes it so that they can speak more freely to each other while working private jobs.

i figure that the sinnoh language is the one spoken the least compared to the languages of other main regions due to sinnoh’s lower population, so it’s much less likely that people will pick up on what they’re saying when they’re abroad. this is also why the sinnoh league members all know at least one or two other languages — it’s important for them to be able to communicate with visitors and people in other regions, so they likely either learned them in school growing up or as part of league training.

many of the league members already had education or interest in other languages before they joined. cynthia is fluent in the most due to it having already been a big interest of hers before she became the champion.

cynthia often offers to tutor league members who aren’t that confident in their foreign language skills. honestly, she’s better than any certified language teacher because she’s so patient and passionate, and the league are lucky to have her to help.

it’s typically the younger ones who get cynthia’s help — flint, maylene and aaron struggle the most with learning while candice, volkner and roark are the easiest to teach. the first three are much better at learning hands-on, so they learn the best when they’re actually abroad, while the latter three prefer the comfort of a tutoring setting.

the members who take on the most abroad work are cynthia, volkner, and flint. cynthia tends to take on solo missions and also just travels a lot and also has her villa in undella town — flint and volkner are usually sent out together as they’re seen as the pair in the league that can work the best together and have the highest success rate as a duo.

others who also travel often (though not as frequently) are wake and fantina.

this last point kind of veers off from the language theme of this list, but i thought i’d mention who i believe the “younger” in the league are and who the “older” are. there’s no age cut-off for either category, this is just more so who i headcanon are the ones in the league who are very much gen z / millennials vs. the ones who act more like mentors / experienced adults.

This blog is an Indie, Private and Selective, Book/Game/Show influenced, and Headcanon driven, Yennefer of Vengerberg. I am using the books, Netflix show and Witcher 3 game to influence Yen, and flushing her out with headcanons. A lot of the books didn’t age well, and Yen was established for me as an RP character back in 2019 before she went to my multi, but in the spirit of re-reading the books and enjoying the Netflix show, she’s back here now where she absolutely belongs. Her own solo blog. That being said, know that I am slow because as previously stated, I’m 35. I work full time at a Gymnastics Gym, and I have some health issues that got exacerbated by long Covid, so RP is my hobby, definitely not my jobby.

My Discord is always available upon request, and I love interacting OOC! Even if we’re not writing things, I love to chat, so I hope you always feel like you can come to me. I love to gush about ships, both romantic and platonic, and plotting can be a lot of fun, especially if we wanna jump right in with our characters knowing each other.

FIRST AND FOREMOST: the early 19th century was a time when the piano was an extremely important tool for social interaction in mid-to-high society. everybody who was anybody got a piano. it was really, really normal family entertainment, and when you went to call on another household, it was normal to play a little tune for them. so of course dear françois-marie enjolras was expected to learn to play the piano, the darling little baby of the family that he was.

HOWEVER.

this does not mean that he is any good at the piano. of course not. he is horrible and always has been, to the despair of his mother. she paid for lessons for him for ten years and STILL it is just.... painful to listen to. he should not play. he just... doesn’t really get music and it shows. his fingers are for writing, not piano-ing. one time he was invited over to a classmate’s apartment when he first got to paris and they asked him to play something and instead of facing the mortification that would come of it he simply left and never returned and never talked to them again. 

but jehan has a piano in their apartment, of course, for the vibes. and enjolras mentions the fact that he had piano lessons as a kid, just in passing, and ferre’s like “!!!!! hey!!!!! jehan has a piano!!!!!!! you should get up and play us something!!!!!!!!! play us a tune!!!!!!” and enjolras just “😞😖😬😟🙃😰p l e a s e do not ask me to do so😦😥😔😣😶😞” and is reduced to a shameful lump on the sofa until ferre lays off him. let him rest. give him peace. he is 213 years old leave him alone.

but in other news..... 

jehan plays the flute. this is actually just canon i don’t make the rules. they’re actually really good but mostly just play incomprehensible modern pieces, and also bach. this choice is not up to the listener. you get what you get and you don’t get upset. enjoy your spectralist 40-minute solo flute monstrosity quietly or leave.

i think that musichetta can play the accordion. i think that bossuet can play the banjo. i think that joly can play the clarinet. i think that together they have a stupid little bluegrass/klezmer trio that sounds questionable in concept but in reality is genuinely really good. they don’t perform anywhere, it’s just for fun. sometimes they play on the balcony or with the windows open, to mixed reviews. (the world is not ready for them yet 😔)

cosette can play the cello. cmon. of course she can. her cello vibes are through the roof. marius thinks it’s hot. he’s correct.

i think that courfeyrac actually can kind of play the piano, unlike CERTAIN people. like, he doesn’t play a lot now, but he had lessons growing up and can still play decently well. marius thinks that this is also hot. he’s correct. (RIP to marius’s little pea-brain, fried by musical talent. if courf and cosette ever played a sweet little duet he would simply perish.)

grantaire can’t really play the guitar, but he sometimes does anyways. HOWEVER, he’s actually got a decent voice.... which is a secret, except for when joly and bossuet and musichetta make him join their band for the evening and sing for a few songs. they hold his wine captive to make him stay, but that’s mostly for show--grantaire doesn’t really mind, so long as it’s a private affair and nobody records it. (courf has a recording, anyways--he shows enjolras and enjolras is..... 👁👄👁)

feuilly has the vibes of somebody who should be able to play the guitar, but he can’t. this is confusing to everybody. he does not care. he will not learn. it’s his business and he doesn’t want to. it’s not his problem.
