Open starter || Nightmares

Kuragami was sleeping soundly, having a wonderful dream, curled up under a comforter. Then suddenly the dream took a turn and Kuragami needs to fight himself free of danger.

He started to toss and turn in the bed, he was sweating and panting and seemed frightened. This was not something that was his usual.

Shadows swirled around in the dark alley, where no one was. Out of those swirling shadows came a very bored Shadow Demon. Chin-length bleach blonde hair falling around the males angular face, framing his ethereal blue eyes.

He looked around to see if the street was occupied.

Kage instinctively growled at hemlock but then let out a gasp at Akina pouncing on him. "Akina no!" He was about to rush over and was distracted by Riona's question "I... I don't know.."

Hemlock himself cried out as Akina pounced him, his body tense and ridged. Her words and tears catching him off guard. "W-what?" He snapped.

Eboni was curled in a ball, crying, the shadow cat protectively standing with her under its belly. She hadn't heard Shogai's praises.

Goichi was stunned and so was Jax and Kuragami.

Mika slowly made his way closer to where Eboni was, but was snapped at by the shadow cat. He backed away.

Enkai quickly pulled back from Tsuki, hurt by his words. Runa hugged "Tsuki, that was horrible to say.." she said in a hushed tone.

Ayaka nodded and quietly said "it's obvious that Mr Stirling sees Tsuki and Runa as his own children.. I have seen it in how he acts with you both." She wiped her face of the tears before anyone could look at her.

Enkai didn't know anything, as he lay passed out on the floor of a wooden shed somewhere.

Before this, he was lounging in the back yard of his childhood home, and dozed off waiting for his girlfriend to show up. He is a deep sleeper, so he didn't notice anything when he was kidnapped.

Ayaka walked into the backyard with Mira, after giving her a ride home on her bike. "Remember, shush about what I said about your brother... I kinda like making him wonder if I like him or not... his faces are so cute.." She said and dropped her bag on the ground next to the lounge chair Enkai would have been in if he was there.

Daryn chuckled "I really haven't said much honestly. But my mother has tried to hook me up with so many women over the years... I guess that fact I mentioned I finally have a girlfriend, she got excited."

Mal hugged his sister back. "Be careful.. alright?" He said softly.

Remu chuckled "really excited to see your grandma more the lady Uncle is bringing?" He teased his daughter lightly.

Kura sighed and shook his head "everything will be fine baby. If anything I can bring them into the shadow realm to keep them from destroying the house." He teased Oisìn lightly, wrapping his arms around her waist from behind and kissing the top of her head.

Jax sighed and flipped back on the bed, he missed his mother but he wasn't in the mood for a dinner. "Must I go?" He groaned into the phone.

"Jax, you better show up my baby boy, I haven't seen you in a year at least... Just be glad I didn't request your kids..." Rhiannon said in a commanding tone.

"alright ok I'll go.. will Aadi be there?" He asked.

"of course she will." And with that, his mother hung up.

Meeting His Family || Closed Starter

To say Daryn was nervous would probably be an understatement as he walked up to the front door of the address Livia had sent him. He was dressed casually with a pair of baggy pants and a loose shirt, with chains around his neck.

He wore two chains, one belonged to his late twin(the black chain) and one was his own(the silver one), and he fiddled with them nervously as he stood on the stoop, trying to gain the courage to knock.

He was supposed to be picking Livia up and bringing her to his mother's house. Rhiannon had demanded to meet his first ever girlfriend and invited her to dinner. Unfortunately, his mother had invited the rest of his siblings also.

Daryn sighed and quickly brought his hand up to knock on the door.

Eboni shook her head, "No. He won't hurt my family anymore, I will make sure of it, Momma!" She said to Akina, and hissed at Hemlock "Daddy, Go get blood bags for momma now! she needs them." she told Kage.

Kage furrowed his brows in confusion, one reason was Akina holding his wrist. the other was what his daughter had said. "Akina??" He questioned.

"she told me to stay put, She wanted to do something. you would do the same." Goichi said, and Kura came out and nodded.

"She explained to us that since Shogai had fed her earlier and she drank a bit more then she meant to, she felt stronger... so she wanted to test an idea." Kura said calmly to Riona and Shogai. "Shogai, would you please calm down before you hurt your mother."

Runa helped Enkai out of the tub, "Tsuki, what happened? vines??" she asked as she helped Enkai to sit down, but he shook his head and motioned for her to bring him to Mira and Ayaka.

Ayaka covered her face with her hands, hiding herself from everyone.

Mika ignored his son, snarling at the stranger again.

Ayaka held Enkai's hands and gently kissed the top of his wet hair. "Just a bit longer, Enkai..."

Runa sighed, "I understand." she said to her friend and then gasped as Akina came over, "What? no... you should have stayed home hun!"

Goichi left and followed his aunt downstairs and now stood by her. "Auntie thinks she should help, cuz she knows who the guy is."

Eboni was still in Mira's room, looking out the window, trying to keep sight of the man. "Uncle Kura, do you think i can jump on his back from here??"

Kura looked at the young hybrid with wide eyes. "That is your plan?"

Mika growled and moved to be between the stranger and his son.

Runa sniffled "you think so?"

Ayaka blinked at Riona and Caspian's words. "Y-you think I should?" She asked nervously, and moved to hold his hand.

Enkai moaned "warm..." He muttered, and a slight smile formed on his lips.

Eboni felt her mother squeezing her hand a bit more and looked over at her. "It's ok. We can do this." She grins and a portal forms in front of them she pulls everyone through and Kura follows, closing the portal.

They now all stood in Mira's room, and Eboni gasped "Enkai is hurt bad... Daddy is... Standing right outside the front door standing guard. Papa is outside hurt..." She started to ramble quietly about the things she was hearing.

The man got back to his feet and Mika let out a hiss, baring his fangs.

"ah your so funny, Mika.." the stranger says and stands up to his full height, the wound was completely healed. Mika's demeanor changed, turning to completely confused.

Runa pouted "but you can help heal at all. It's something at least. I just can fight or.. stay put..."

Ayaka watched Riona and Caspian talk, and glanced over to Enkai. She didn't want anyone to know she crushed on him, though Mira knew, but she wanted to so badly hold him. She found herself moving to kneel at the end of the tub, by his head, and started petting his hair.

Enkai whimpered again, "daddy! I'm sorry!" He cried in the sleep he was in. Ayaka pouted and looked to Caspian.

"do you think he is dreaming? He seems so scared..." She asked Caspian, her true feelings slipping.

Kura nodded, agreeing with Akina.

"well... Ebs is our favorite person in the world. Of course we are careful with her." Goichi said.

"come on.. we are almost there." Eboni says.

Mika shook his head at Tsuki, "I'll be fine."

Runa nodded, wrapping her arms around Mira, a sudden urge to cry started and her eyes blurred with the blood tears. "I wish I had healing powers... I hate feeling useless like this.."

Ayaka nodded and went with Riona.

Enkai's breathing started to quicken, "hurts.." he whimpered. The arm with the injection site moved to grab at the gash from Oisín's arrow.

Kura did a playful salute to Akina, and waved to The twins. "Kage might hurt me for allowing you to go... But I'm assuming you four have a reason and a plan? I was heading back to make sure Mira is ok. She was effected by the same poison as Enkai." He explained.

"from what I hear... He wants momma and he doesn't know about me.. so I wanna help momma help Papa.. and the twins are going to help." Eboni says, proud of her thought.

"You shut up or i will end you here and now, vampire." the man growled out, kneeling down to get into Tsuki's face.

"Stay away from him!" Mika couldn't hold back any more, moving quickly and stabbing the stranger in the ribs, and pulling him away from his son. he let's go and lands crouched on the ground a few feet away.

Runa nodded, "I will stay here, and force feed you, if you don't do it, missy!" she said with a smirk, and sat with her friend. she looked at Ayaka, who gave the vampire a nod. "Ayaka, go with Riona, Enkai would want you to be with him, if he wakes up..." she said, putting her hand on Mira's back.

Enkai was still passed out. not reacting to Caspian's voice at all. after a few moments of Caspian trying to heal him, Enkai groaned and winced in pain, but was still passed out.

Eboni moved the group through the shadow realm, and gasped when she saw Kura coming towards them.

"Where are you going?" he asked, and looked between them all.

"Momma wants to save Papa, and so do we!" Eboni exclaimed and huffed. "You won't stop us."

"I... actually wasn't going to stop you, Little niece, come on, let's make sure everyone is safe."

Mika looked around and noticed Jax and Kage guarding the front door, but no one was outside except them three. "Are you proud of the chaos you have brought, stranger?"

The man glared at the older vampire. "You're just mad that I'm hurting your son." He then smirked and tilted his head. "You're scared... Aren't you?"

Runa took Mira's hands, "hey.. I know you're scared and worried. But you won't be much help to yourself or your brother if you don't eat. Get your strength back up.. ok?"

Ayaka nodded "that's fine."

Enkai was completely limp in Caspian's arms, and did not react to the feel of the cold water surrounding his body when he was put into the tub.

"aw shush momma..." Eboni giggled and pulled every one through the portal into the shadow realm. Goichi stayed by her and made sure everyone stayed together.

Axel smirked at how Oisín reacted to his teasing, loving the shyness. But he then looked worried as their first born son came running.

Kura followed Jett, reaching over to kiss Jett and then Oisín on the top of their heads. "I promised him I'd go back and make sure Mira was safe. So I will be going now. Axel, I love you too by the way." He said and rushed out through a portal that closed as soon as he went through it.

Mika watched his son squirm and try to escape the vines, but the vines dug deeper with every move and blood began to soak the young vampires pants.

Enkai sniffles "Kage.. can you let us get free please.. I know you can hear me.. Mira is mostly healed and Ayaka is ok now.. I'm too weak to do anything and I can feel him in my head anymore."

Kage sighed and swirled his fingers from where he was outside the front door. Mira, Ayaka and Enkai were released from the tendrils of shadow. Enkai then collapsed, the pain from his wounds and the poison hitting him hard.

Ayaka stumbled but caught herself. "Th-thank you Riona." She said in a raspy voice, lifting a hand to run at her throat.

Runa rushed over to Enkai to check him, he was breathing but barely, and passed out. "Papa, his heartbeat is weak... Can you help me bring him back to the tub? Mira on the coffee table, eat something sweetie and drink some water." She said as calmly as possible and attempted to lift Enkai herself.

Eboni nodded reluctantly at Akina's comment. She looked to Goichi and he moved closer hooking a finger in Eboni's pants belt loop. "Come on, momma." She held out her free hand for Akina, as a shadow portal formed a few feet away.

Axel smirked, "oh is that so? My little demon minion yapped about me and you had a crush on me just from words?" He teased Oisín a bit. He then moved to ladle out some liquid into mugs and turned to hand him one.

Kura nodded "alright bud. Come on then." A portal formed and he pulled Jett through, again they were in the living room. "Oisín, I'm back with Jett. He wants you."

Mika shook his head, glaring at the man. "I'm not going anywhere, son." He said to Tsuki.

Enkai nodded, upset but understood what Caspian was meaning. He felt bad though and deep down had a fear they all didn't trust him at all anymore.

Ayaka tried to keep as still as possible, even though she knew the shifter wouldn't hurt her. The blade cut through easily and the vine fell to the floor.

Eboni froze at the mention of N.O.V.A. "n-no momma we can do this. Right guys?" She asked the chaos twins. "Oh wait hold on.." She left the room and came back, a small dagger stuck in her belt now. "Now I am ready." she said while patting the dagger's sheath.

Axel glanced back at Oisin, "There are times... but its more like I imagine i most likely would still be lonely and hurt by Eve...and Kura would be my little pet doing my bidding like we use to. i definitely would not be happy."

Kura nods. "If you want me to, I will go back after bringing you back to the house." he lifted his son's chin and smiled. "I promise you will see her in the morning."

The man laughed maniacally again.

Mika watched Caspian run into the house and then walked over to where the man had his son. "Tsuki are you alright?"

Enkai saw his father and started to cry, he knew he had said some hurtful things "oh God dad I am so sorry for hurting you... I didn't want to..."

Runa nodded and then headed to the kitchen to search the cabinets for anything that could help. She found some snacks and grabbed a few bottles of water. She came back and handed them to Riona. "The tub is still filled with water..."

Ayaka whimpered, the vine collar still around her neck.

"I could shadow walk us there..." She said and shrugged. "I know a spot I can open a portal that would surprise everyone. Mira's room."

"hm?" Axel replied to Oisín as he worked on stirring the liquid.

"I know bud, I know.. it's ok." Kura wrapped his arms around Jett quickly and kissed his head.

"I would love to see you try, Little vampire." he cooed, and dropped Tsuki to the ground, but before the vampire could run or move, he made his vines slowly wrap around his ankles and up his legs.

Mika gripped his chin and made him look into his eyes. "Caspian, I know. But now, please go help your children, Love." He gently wiped the nymphs tears away with his thumb.

Runa explained what Mika had told her. Hoping that Riona and Kage would be understanding.

Kage nodded, "Makes sense. I can even stand outside and if anything goes wrong i am only a whisper away."

Eboni got up and went over to wrap her arms around her mother. "If you go, I go... I want to start being a big sister and help protect my baby siblings."

Goichi nodded "If Eboni goes, I am going. Shogai, Let's totally do this!" he couldn't stop his smirk.

Axel held his hand out for Oisin and waited for him to say his goodnights to Noor.

Kura made as many as he needed to, with an actual beast in there once or twice. he waited to see if there was any sign of Jett shifted back.

"and what will you do, little vampire?" The man said, and laughed at Tsuki's attempt to bit him.

Mika looked to Runa, motioning for her to let the others know what was going on. After she left to let them know, he turned back to Caspian. Without any words, he cupped his face and brought it closer to his, pressing a loving kiss to Caspian's lips. It was their first kiss, Mika realized, and as he pulled away to press his forehead to Caspian's. "I love you, I understand what you mean, and I forgive you, I'm not mad. Go help you children Enkai needs you."

Kage nodded and lifted both Enkai and Ayaka with the shadows and started towards the front door. He didn't want to leave Tsuki but he knew he had to help the others.

Eboni stiffened in Goichi's hold, "g-go there? B-but mommy, what about the babies...?"

Goichi frowned and sighed "I think if you want to go... We should go too... Shogai and I can help protect you and Eboni if need be..."

"I know, love, I know." Axel said and got up. "Come now. Let's get you some hot cocoa, that always seems to cheer you up."

Kura made a few more shadow replicas of the enemy and stood back as they started to dance around. "We can do this until you can calmly shift back, bud. Once that happens we can go back and check out the situation. But we will leave your mother home.
