It was… a lot. Through out the tour Lyra could only gaze in awe. The village was lively. Colorful! So many people and dragons together. And the isle itself! It was so different from her home but beautiful in its own right. And as they flew over the parts of the isle that wasn’t inhabited by his people, she could feel a pull. A pull to pure nature. A pull to a magic still in her blood.

Landing, Lyra slid off Altair and the dragon stretched her wings. The white and green dragon had been disappointed it couldn’t fly as fast as Toothless, but she kept pace well. Lyra turned to Hiccup.

“Dochreidte! It’s incredible! Your home is beautiful! The forest beyond looked filled with life!” She knew she’d be finding herself wandering the trees soon enough. A thought struck her.

“I wish I could show you the beauty of my home. The forests were bright and green…” gasping quietly she rummaged through a pouch on her hip. Pulling something out she walked over and held out her hand to Hiccup.

“A gift. This is a stone that is found in my home. We make jewelry and statues from it.” The pendant she offered him was a Trinity knot of smooth green marble. It hung from a simple leather cord.

They had flown through the night from their isle of home to this new land. It was both exciting and terrifying for the young fae. Lyra was glad to be free, she just wished the circumstances were different.

Landing by a small lake she slid off the back of the green and white dragon. Wobbling as she got her land legs back. The dragon’s tail came around to steady her.

“Thank you, Altair.” With a pat to the tail she knelt by the lake to get a drink. Altair was similar in shape to a monstrous nightmare. Four limbs plus her wings. But smoother scales and her only horns lay on her head. The dragon stretched as her rider drank. Laying down to curl around her.

Hiccup and Toothless found themselves on a semi-familiar island in the archipelago. They had been there before, but it had been a few years since. He remembered that no one had lived there, and aside from some wild terrible terrors, there weren't many dragons there either.

The island itself was pretty great, with rocky cliffs on one side and white sand beaches on the other. Toothless was drawn to the beach today, Hiccup had no idea why but he wasn't going to tell his best bud no.

As soon as they landed, Toothless bounded over in excitement to the water. Hiccup just shook his head with a smile, picking up some driftwood and pulling out his knife. It was a nice day, and while Toothless enjoyed the water, Hiccup was going to keep his hands busy while he thought about how to accommodate more dragons at Berk.

But it wasn't long before he saw a flash of something orange in the water, and Toothless froze when he saw it too.

"What was that?" He and Toothless glanced at each other, confused. "Think it's a new dragon, bud?"

Stepping out of the caravan and approaching the door, she saw a familiar face in the distance. There was no doubt Hiccup was aware of her arrival. As the two figures drew closer, a smile was placed upon her lips as she hurried over to embrace her friend.

“Hiccup, it’s so lovely to see you again, my friend.”

Holding the embrace for a moment, she pulled away, before kneeling down to hug his daughter.

“You must be Zephyr. Your father has told me a lot about you.”

She politely waved at her before standing to her feet. Her demeanor changed into a more sorrow one and anyone could see through it from her eyes. Esmeralda let out a long sigh.

“It’s Frollo… I’m certain he’s gathering all of his soldiers and coming for my people.” There was worry in her tone. “I wouldn’t ask anyone for help, but I’m in need of your help before it’s too late.”

She’d let him process the information.

For me, the first song that came up was ‘forwards beckon rebound’ by Adrianne Lenker!

It’s a ‘sad’ song, I know, but it’s one of my current favorites (I love all of her music)

I don’t really know what I’d associate it with per se, I mean, it’s in some of my OC playlists, so I guess I could associate it with that? 🤷‍♀️

From what I’ve read with your thread with dragonmasterhiccup, he seems to be a good guy, just with some issues from his past, but Danny’s like that too, so I feel they could end up bonding over that :)

Although I do feel like it would take Danny a while to warm up to him, considering everything from her past, but in the end I could see them becoming good friends!
