Been meaning to get something of UC-verse Dori’s AMX-102 Zssa Custom drawn for a while and I just happened to open tumblr one night right as @pencilbrony reblogged their “commissions open, will draw mechs” post

Over on the anti-dinosaur squad side of things, i split Noin off to help Garrod out. Jenices seem to be much more her speed, and would you look at that, she actually dodged something!

I move Garrod down to try and weaken the westernmost Grandeene...

...And in the background, Jamil gets himself to 4/20. dude weed lmao

And to help Garrod out, i move Amuro next to him, placing him under Amuro's command aura. Also, hits Grandeene for more HP shaving.

Finally, i transform Witz and have him join Noin in being reinforcements for Garrod, hitting a Zssa for quite a bit.

And on the enemy turn, Garrod shoots down the Jenice Noin softened up earlier.

And Roybea shoots down a Jenice!

On our turn, Noin shoots down the western Zssa.

And with some cooperation from Amuro and Witz, Garrod slices down the Grandeene. And that's when i notice yet another interesting pattern in the enemy formation... But that's for later.

Capping off the turn, Fa heals Roybea once more.

On the next enemy turn, Garrod blows up a Bawoo that Amuro had previously weakened. i swear these stages don't feel this repetitive while i'm actually playing through them

And right as i'm about to pass out from boredom, Rakan attacks Amuro! Never been happier to hear him talk.

Rakan: "Amuro Ray, you're coming with us!" Amuro: "That's not happening. I'm through with being used like a weapon!"

Rakan: "A newtype who won't fight is just wasting his talent! You're even fighting right now!" Amuro: "Your way of thinking only creates more sorrow!"

Oh no!! What a miscalculation!! Newtype ace, Amuro Ray, has been shot down in combat!!! By jove, how can we recover from-

Back in our turn, Noin proves herself surprisingly adequate by actually managing to decently chunk a Bawoo.

Of course, Garrod gets the kill, inching himself over to Level 15.

And Amuro gets some revenge on Rakan.

Aaaaand 5/20.

And Witz gets a good shot in on Rakan, too.

...but Rakan gets a damn good shot back on him.

On the next enemy turn, we just dodge hits from the three Zeeks left, suspiciously leaving them all at low health. Surely i'm not planning anything.

OR AM I!?

Now, if you're coming from Alpha Gaiden or SRW Z, you might be wondering by now; Hanbei, how can you tell when a stage has the moon out? After all, to balance the immense destructive power of the Satellite Cannon, it can only be used in certain designated maps, right?

Not in SRW R. You can use it in every map. In fact, not only can you use it in every map, you can do it as many times as you'd like, as long as you're willing to wait for it to charge back up. And guess what? No Ammo, no EN costs. Just charging time. And you can just put anybody who knows Support Attack (like Roybea or Witz) in this thing whenever you feel like it. AND Garrod learns Luck innately for those MAP attack money gains (though he doesn't have it just yet).

This game fucking believes in Human Touch.

This is Nelly 🐱♀, Romulus907's 2nd HTF OC (his first HTF OC will meet it, someday on the right date), with her custom 'Cuteness Mecha Armor' of choice, "Lavender ZSSA"! 🤖🙂

BTW: Instead of "AMX-102IKO", its "AMX-102NEL". The word "NEL" was came from, you guest it! Her name itself.😉

Armament(s):

2x Beam Sabers / Beam Cannons • Mounted in both paws much like Beargguy III, besides functioning as ranged beam weapons, they can also generate beam sabers for melee combat.

Scattering Beam Gun • Mounted in the waist, it has a power rating of 7.64 MW.

Missile Launcher • Lavender Zssa is armed with missile launchers on its legs. These can range from AMS-02S type missiles (small conventional missiles), as well as other types such as the 04 type (multiple warhead) and 05S type (proximity fuse).

Special Equipment(s) / Feature(s):

Booster Pod • An optional transformable flying unit mounted to the Zssa's back. The Amazing weapon Binder Cannons can be attached to the Booster Pod.

Mobile Armor Mode •Just like the regular Zssa, The Lavender Zssa Can transform into what is known as a mobile armor or Jet mode.

Extendable Arms • Similar to the Beargguy 3, The Lavender Zssa retains the Acguy and Beargguy II / III's extendable arms for striking down enemy armored suits.

Bow • Nelly's Bow in the Lavender Zssa is a fully functional weapon. She can use it as a boomerang and It can act like a mini shield that deflects bullets and Beams when deployed. Its also a nifty source of all the communications involved (Meaning Nelly does not have to wear a mini earphone unlike the rest of her team mates) and it has a special function where it transforms into a Beam Sword to take down foes with a single slash when deployed in weapon mode.

Special Attack(s):

Nyan Nyan Barrage • Nelly Initiates a full continous blast of rockets and Beams at the enemy.

Nyan Blade Slash • A special move that she can do with her bow in sword mode.

My beloved missile boy is complete! I ended up coming home from vacation and just diving into this thing, finishing it in one day which is the fastest I’ve done a HG so far 😅

On the enemy turn, not much happens besides Witz doing exactly what he was expected to do. No complaints here.

Back to our turn, and... gasp! Enemies inbound!!

And what's more, Neo Zeon goons! To the surprise of nobody, they're not happy to be giving up Amuro and Tiffa, especially when they still have no clues as to Kamille's whereabouts.

In any case, at the western front, i move Noin forward to snipe at one of the Mechasauri. She does predictably underwhelmingly.

Up next is Raul. Making sure to change the Airmaster back to MS form so it can offer a Support Attack, i have it attack the dino that got itself into the water to try and get around Witz's barricade. They don't do boatloads of damage, but it's certainly roughed up.

...making this the perfect time to show off the Getter-3 in its preferred environment!

It's not quite enough to finish it off, but Gai even gets to show off his sturdiness on the crackback! Taking double-digit damage with no Spirit Commands active!

Over on the zeonic front, Amuro nearly one-shots a Zssa. God, he's a monster.

Roybea moves forward to Breast Gatling a Jenice, and while he's no Amuro, my boy can work a machinegun.

And Jamil finishes off the straggling Zssa, bumping his killcount to 3/20. Garrod moves slightly southwards, and onwards to the enemy turn!

The usual enemy turn activities go on, but the waterlogged dino dies in a tragic "ramming head against the Excellence" accident

And Amuro is Amuro. Back to our turn!

Fa moves over to repair Roybea, since the Grandeene down south managed to scrape him earlier. And that's when i realize... the enemies are in perfect formation for Roybea's MAP attack. Let's rock.

...Well, that was underwhelming. Points for trying, Robbie.
