this is quite true, sometimes i feel under pressure to write or post anything for my followers and other crumpets, but at the end of the day i remind myself that this is all just for fun and the reason why i’m writing it in the first place is purely just to explore my creative ideas and share them with a supportive community.

sometimes sitting back and just enjoying it is best, but when you have the time and the energy (or maybe you only need the idea to motivate you) then you can be free to have fun with your imagination.

it’s also really interesting and special to see many peoples perspectives on things, how they interpret the audios, the fiction, the characters, and together we make a wonderful community of ideas and stories (and talent because why is every crumpet out there so full of talent omg) which can be enjoyed and appreciated by everyone.

not to mention the wonderful creator, who not only makes unique and fascinating stories and characters, but also creates such a refreshing and welcoming community who support each other.

i have to agree, the engagement is crazy and can definitely be overwhelming sometimes - but the important thing is that we enjoy the freedom of creativity and expression and share it with each other. <3

Venturing the world of ASMR audios is such an interesting ride. I've been thinking about trying it out but as an ASMR Reader where I read stories in a softer/more soothing voice to help people relax. Something that really fascinates me about ASMR audios is the communities that grow from them. Being in ZSakuVA's community has treated me well and everyone's been so kind. I have no negatives and I'm thankful to not be surrounded in toxicity. However, I'm not sure I can carry the same amount of energy that The Crumpets (that's the community name) have. With all the fanart, fanfics, memes, and AUs popping out left and right I wonder how they have so much energy every day! It's like trying to keep track of a ton of kittens at a Cat Cafe or something! I like to partake in a little fun, but I'm also just there to observe, create, and take in the good vibes. This community is a very creative bunch and it's something you have to see to believe. I like to call it.....chaotically sweet.

This has been constantly on my mind the past few days and I've been doing some self-reflecting as of late.

Do I need to keep putting emojis in my posts? Do I need to keep putting in gifs when they're not needed despite the fact that I often put in one or two (or more)? I'm not a child, that much is clear, but do I come off as childish? I look at my Tumblr page and look at all the cutesy stuff I post such as MLP, Sailor Moon, Winx Club, etc. and while I do love those shows, the fact is they were intended for young audiences. I mean, look at my OC and my hand-drawn art! It looks like a little kid could made it in a heartbeat! People often see hand-drawn art as childish because it's not digital paint. Digital art is used much more professionally and that's understandable. Do people see me as childish? Maybe I should make some changes? I should do more to ensure that I take things seriously? I'm sorry, this comment just had me thinking a lot, that's all. I do admire and appreciate everyone who is a part of the ZSakuVA Crumpet Community no matter what posts they make and all the creative things they do. I'm just wondering what I could do for the future, you know? As a writer/creator, it's important for me to wanna do better rather than always stay the same.

Regarding The Recent AnonConfessions

To the Tumblr Crumpet Community,

I’m aware that a couple of posts on audioroleplayconfessions have sparked an uproar over the last couple of days, and I think it has been blown way out of proportion, to the extent where I need to write this.

Though I agree that most criticisms about others can be handled in private, everyone is entitled to their own opinion, and the confessions blog is a way to publicly post what they want to say while also keeping their anonymity. As a creator, it's unfortunate to see members having issues with other members, but that is also an opinion someone can have. It's impossible for everyone to get along, and inevitably, we are drawn to/repelled by certain people and behaviours.

Just as I agree that the confession author can block those in the community they have a problem with, so can those who have a problem with the confession blog. We all know the purpose of it and what it's used for, and it will likely have opinions/criticisms we don't like or agree with. It is meant to be a place for thoughts that would probably receive backlash/conflict with the majority in said fandom. Still, you are free to comment, and I always advocate for healthy discourse.

I have also seen the community blame Ringmaster for this. As far as I can see, Ringmaster did not break any of their own rules with the first post: it was not hate, nor was it targeted harassment because the member was unnamed. However, I think the second post treads a fine line between being a follow-up of the first post, and fighting with the community directly under the guise of anonymity, fuelling it further.

Again, if the confessions blog irritates/offends you, please block it for your health and your sanity.

The ZSakuVA tag has been filled with this recently. I understand that a lot of you want to defend the community and ensure it remains a safe space for all, and I have tried to keep it that way since the beginning. It's wonderful to see some positive comments stem from this. However, some posts simply reacting to the drama can prove detrimental to the community as a whole and fan the flame, drawing more eyes to the matter when there was no need to, and adding more conflict where there was little. Please do not insult others. Do not seek out the drama and cause more harm than good. And if you have a problem with another member, the best way to resolve it is by either talking to them privately, or blocking them.

I would recommend, before you post about drama like this (which shouldn't have been drama in the first place), ask yourself if it will contribute to the conflict or contribute to the community.

This will be my only post on the matter.

The zsakuva va anon confessions of 2024😔

To the anon asking if there were other boyfriend ASMR/audio roleplay channels with plots at least on par with Redacted, you're in luck! I mostly listen to plot-driven stuff so here's my recommendations.

Good Boy Audios: He has multiple series, all of them take place in the same universe but in different settings. His romance is a lot more slower burn than something like Redacted but that's fine, because I like slow burn and the plots keep me hooked. I recommend Bastard Warrior and Space Pirate Saga.

Escaped Audios: Super cinematic channel with a very strong focus on storytelling. He has a good balance between adventure and romance, and his playlists perfectly blend the two in almost every series. All of of his series feel like living through a movie. I recommend The Neon Barbarian/Neon Wings if you like bittersweet romance/angst, and The New Jersey Rats if you prefer a more light-hearted romantic adventure.

ZSakuVA: Priest already mentioned him but he's great. He has tons of characters who each have their own playlist. Some of his characters occupy the same universe and share the same story, kind of like what Redacted does. I recommend listening to his Elias (mafia son) and Issac (boss) playlists back to back, they complete eachother's stories and I love the boyfriend stuff.

Desmond ASMR: He uploads on a really slow schedule but all of his videos are super long and well made, almost movie length sometimes. I love his voice and his characters, and there's always an element of adventure in his work. I recommend his arranged marriage series and his gladiator series.

Siren's Son: He's kind of like Redacted in that a lot of his work takes place in a shared universe and there's a mix of both plot-driven arcs as well as fluff/comfort/boyfriend roleplay arcs scattered throughout. His Westhaven series is one of my comfort series that I re-listen to over and over. Also, honorable mention to Obsidian Lantern. Siren's Son and him collab together on a series called Gator Boys set in SS's universe and it's great.

Scythe Audio: A super exciting channel. He has romance/boyfriend roleplay but he's more of a story and action focused channel (we love him for it). I love his fucked up monstrous and villainous characters. I've been obsessed with his V/Villain Saga for like two years now and it just keeps getting better. I also recommend his Werewolf action/horror series, The Alpha Claw Saga.

Nomad's Tales: He's been around a long time and has a huge body of work with really entertaining series. He's just now starting season two of his series Frosthaven so it's the perfect time to catch up! I also like his Yandere Knight playlist and A Theif's Tale (a modern romance/thriller).

Those are the best story driven boyfriend ASMR/audio roleplay channels I know of. If anyone has more recommendations I'd love to hear them.

He has made it very clear that he is anti-choice/pro-forced birth/anti-abortion/pro-life whatever you wanna call it. I saw this was getting some attention and decided it was time for me to come clean. In all honesty, I knew about these anonymous confessions and I wanted to post something that I had been feeling for quite a while. Not too much. Not too little. I'd be lying to you if I said that I wasn't the slightest bit nervous. My heart was racing and my hands were shaking writing that! I meant every single word in that text and I do feel more inspired to get more creative with my work. I've taken time off from posting anything Sakuverse related and what do I see? Anonymous confessions have stirred the community on Tumblr as of late? Classic Tumblr drama?......Yeah, I'm not gonna play "Mommy" and you don't want to hear any lectures I have to say. I don't want to touch this mess. I don't want to screw myself up with this mess. I don't want to and in Anonymous's words, ahem....."lose my sh@t" over an anonymous's thoughts and opinions. I've already got my own business to deal with. I'm fully aware that some people think that those who ignore drama and don't come face to face with it are a**holes, but I honestly don't know what to do on this matter. However, I will say this to you....

You're allowed to have your fun with your creations (fanfics, fanart, AUs, etc.). I won't stop you. But don't consume yourself in them so much that it becomes unhealthy or harmful to yourself and others.

Don't develop any parasocial behavior. Don't become obsessive, weird, and crazy for someone online (or anyone really)! At the end of the day, content creators are people like you (even if they gain a lot of money from how popular they get and how many views their content gets). You're gonna get yourself into a lot of trouble if you go down that path.....likely trouble with the law. Also, you can kiss your online reputation (maybe even IRL reputation) good-bye once people find out what kind of person you are/who you've become.

If anyone is causing any harm to you, please seek help. Especially if that harm eventually spreads to others as well. It's never fun when multiple people get hurt.

Look, I know this isn't the usual "happy, loving, sunshine, lollipops" kind of post you want to see, but I'm just putting my stance on what's currently happening. At the end of the day, this could all be some wacky crazy joke someone is trying to pull, but it's not funny when things get serious. Stay safe and well, okay? You've all got heads on your shoulders.
