does anyone else have like a super hyperspecific genre that applies to only them?

for example: i got a genre of music (they dont necessarily match theyre from diff genres but fall under this umbrella) that gives me a nostalgic feel of memories i dont have

like almost the entire sudden sky album from crown the empire gives me a nostalgic feeling of memories of me escaping from a science human experiment facility???? or like fantasmas by humbe gives me the nostalgic feel from memories of me dancing in a ballroom by myself in an abandoned castle reminiscing of older memories of people long since passed.

i even have like a genre thats different kinds of metal/alt songs that are heavy with like soft vocals mixed in that sound a certain way that it makes me think of me during the zombie apocalypse, taking over my high school to make it a safe haven/my exact plan of how i would turn into a self sustaining thing. (a lot of old memphis may fire songs, wage war, and other bands/songs for this one)

like its just a VERY specific genre that only i get. does anyone else have genres like this or is it just me??? 😭

hearing  through  the  grape  vine  about  all  the  weird  happenings  in  a  town  called  beacon  hills  and  with  ghost  activity  and  life  in  amity  park  slowing,  jack  and  maddie  decide  to  uproot  their  family  and  go  no  their  “next  big  adventure”.  because  surely all  the  weird  happenings  are  because  of  ghosts,  right?

danny  is  still  a  halfa  in  this  verse.

no  one  makes  it  out  alive  (  t.wd  /  zpocalypse  )

default:  human.  the  son  of  ghost  hunters,  the  apocalypse  was  like  his  parents’  dream  come  true.  and  danny’s  worst nightmare.  with  a  whole  arsenal  of  weapons,  they  were  prepared,  though.  the  fenton  parents  were  quick  to  teach  their  children  how  to  use  each  and  every  one  in  case  of  emergency.  and  with  all  of  the  equipment  and  technological  adjustments  made  to  their  house,  they  managed  to  stay  for  quite  some  time.  when  they  had  to  move,  though,  they  took  everything  they  could  with  him. my  main  will  be  that  he  is  still  travelling  with  them,  though  they  do  separate  to  collect  more  supplies.  am  open  to  plotting  where  he  is  alone.

sub  verse:  in  the  sub  verse,  he  is  still  a  halfa  and  uses  his  powers  to  help  him  /  his  family  survive  the  apocalypse.

there  is  no  magic  in  magic,  it’s  all  in  the  details  (  hog.warts  )

danny  is  a  muggle  born  ravenclaw.  his  family  is  still  filled  with  ghost  hunters,  which  has  made  the  whole  situation  rather  interesting  to  deal  with.  this  typically  takes  place  in  later  years  (  4-5  and  on  )  at  hogwarts,  but  i  am  open  to  plotting  younger.

sub  verse:  again,  danny  is  a  halfa.  there  are  two  ways  i  am  willing  to  plot  this  out.  a.  one  is  that  the  accident  has  happened  in  the  same  way  it  does  in  the  show  during  one  of  the  summer  breaks  while  he  is  home  from  hogwarts.   b.  another  is  that  his  parents  messed  with  the  wrong  ghosts;  perhaps  desecrated  a  witch  /  wizard’s  resting  place  and  said  witch  /  wizard  puts  a  curse  on  their  first  born  son.   after,  he  returns  to  hogwarts  and  tries  to  pretend  as  though  nothing  has  changed  at  all.

you  don’t  have  to  do  big  things;  just  the  right  ones  (  ma.rvel  /  mc.u  )  &&  life  doesn’t  give  you  purpose  (  dc  /  dc.eu  )

these  are  lumped  together,  as  the  story  is  the  same.  it  will  follow  basically  his  regular  backstory,  except  it  will  be  set  in  one  or  the  other  universe  depending  on  who  i  am  interacting  with.

          “hopefully  we’ll  get  you  home  soon.”  fingers  brush  through  russet  hair,  blue  eyes  locked  on  pale  face.  what  a  time  for  eric  to  get  sick,  of  all  fucking  things.  makes  chris  himself  feel  vulnerable;  he’s  so  worried  about  the  man  next  to  him  and  all  the  things  that  could  happen  to  them  because  of  it.  (  should  be  okay,  as  long  as  we  keep  quiet,  it’s  gonna  be  fine,  it’s  all  FINE,  plays  on  repeat  in  his  mind.  he  knows  he  has  to  stay  CALM.  for  the  both  of  them.  )            he  can’t  bother  keeping  his  distance,  doesn’t  care  if  he  catches  whatever  it  is.  all  that  matters  in  the  moment  is  making  eric  as  comfortable  as  possible  --  hard,  considering  the  circumstances.  tucked  away  in  a  rickety  shack,  barely  hanging  on  against  the  cool  wind  blowing  outside,  this  is  far  from  a  great  place  to  set  up  camp.  but  he  didn’t  have  it  in  him  to  make  eric  go  on  longer.           “just  get  some  sleep,  okay?  s’all  gonna  be  okay.”  //  @hasheart  asked!!  librarian  +  109  /  the  fault  in  our  stars  by  john  green  (  always  accepting!!  )

          “no.  not  yet.”  takes  her  arm  gently,  voice  a  mere  whisper.  keeps  still  otherwise.  he  can  feel  them,  at  least  two  more.  wonders  if  they  know  that  harry  and  him  are  in  here  or  if  they’d  split  up  for  another  reason.  he  can  feel  his  back  going  stiff  but  it’s  not  safe  to  move  yet.  who  knows  what  these  people  are  like  --  has  learned  time  and  time  again  not  to  trust  anyone  in  this  new  world.  besides,  something  about  them  feels...  off.  violent.  he’s  not  letting  them  anywhere  near  harry.  “there’s  two  more.  just...  just  a  little  longer,  okay?”

          kady’s  going  to  regret  this,  she  knows.  even  if  the  woman  before  her  is  HUMAN,  the  line  of  who  is  safe  and  who  is  not  is  very  thin  these  days.  she  has  maya  positioned  behind  her,  one  hand  locked  with  the  young  girl’s  and  the  other  is  positioned  at  the  knife  on  her  belt;  sheathed,  for  now. she  doesn’t  often  let  her  daughter  near  strangers  anymore  unless  necessary,  but  she  couldn’t  help  herself.  though  it’s  been  years,  she’s  still  a  hunter  at  heart  and  she  couldn’t  leave  the  woman  out  there  alone.  not  against  the  hoard  still  roaming  about.          “are  you  injured?”  the  tone  is  hushed,  trying  not  to  draw  attention  to  their  location.  she  hopes  the  indication  is  clear.  have  you  been  bitten  or  scratched??  kady  doesn’t  feel  she  needs  elaboration,  not  in  this  day  and  age.

          “n  –  nothing.”  shaky  hands,  labored  breath  and  distant  gaze  all  speak  towards  the  opposite.  give  him  away  for  the  liar  he  is,  but  he’s  unwilling  to  share.  he  feels  weak  enough  as  is;  is  barely  still  on  his  feet.  arkady  doesn’t  even  attempt  to  look  up  from  the  ground,  to  meet  the  other’s  eyes  and  try  to  look  convincing,  though.  it  would  be  useless  at  this  point.  he  just…  he  needs  to  sit  down.  he  needs  to  be  somewhere  quiet,  somewhere  he  can  breath  and  standing  here  holding  a  conversation  isn’t  going  to  get  him  anywhere  near  that  goal.  “i  have  –”  slips  to  russian  unintentionally,  gets  out  a  few  words  before  he  realizes  his  mistake  and  shifts  back  with  a  near  desperate,  “shelter.  yes?  all  is  fine,  i  just  have  to…  shelter.”  //  @daryldix0n

I don’t know about anyone else in the Z Nation fandom, but I’m a bit concerned about the trailer for Black Summer. I hope that the creators didn’t have to make Netflix happy and had to turn it into a horror/drama series a la TWD. I quickly got tired of the soap opera-ish tone of TWD. Z Nation had drama and some horror. But it also had action and humor and was very willing to have some campy fun.

         close  calls  are  no  longer  few  and  far  between.   chris  can't  even  count  on  both  hands  the  times  he’s  nearly  died  in  the  years  since  the  world  has  come  to  an  end.  (  and  that  isn’t  even  taking  into  account  the  times  he  has  nearly  let  himself…  )  when  he  was  alone,  it  had  been  a  near  every  day  occurrence.  since  coming  to  alexandria,  life  was  moderately  more  stable  but  that  didn’t  make  it  any  more  safe.  chris  has  long  since  come  to  terms  with  the  fact  that  it’s  more  than  possible  for  his  life  to  come  to  an  end  at  the  teeth  of  one  dead  thing  or  another.  it’s  damn  near  an  inevitability.          finds  himself  hoping  against  it  even,  but  days  like  these  remind  him  just  how  easy  it  could  be.  adrenaline  is  still  pulsing  long  after  they’ve  set  camp  for  the  night.  still  sees  flashes  of  rotting  flesh,  hears  the  haunting  moans.  perhaps  he’s  gotten  too  comfortable  in  alexandria,  for  something  that’s  so  commonplace  to  leave  him  shaking.  he  doesn’t  feel  comfortable  being  this  out  in  the  open,  but  once  he’s  curled  next  to  eric,  his  nerves  finally  start  to  calm.  starts  to  feel  safe.

          it  feels  out  of  nowhere  despite  the day  they’ve  had,  the  sentiment.  blue  eyes  find  their  way  to  the  other’s  face,  shock  written  clear  as  day  as  they  settle.  first  instinct  tells  him  to  ask  why.  why  would  eric  want  that?  why  would  he  wish  for  death  just  like  that??  and  why  would  he  think  for  even  a  second  that  chris  would  agree???  part  of  him  gets  it,  though.  if  eric  got  bit…  fuck,  he  doesn’t  even  know  what  he’d  do.  too  scared  of  the  answer,  he  instead  states,  quiet  but  firm,  “fuck  that.  i  get  bit,  n’i’ll  be  puttin’  myself  down  long  before  the  fever  does.  i’m  not  –  NO.  i’d  never  let  that  happen.”  //  @hasheart  meme  (  accepting.  )

so uh, here’s a long list of verses that i actually have sorted! under the cut are verses for:

caleb, kieran, chris, and wyatt. if you wanna plot with any of the more open verses, feel free to hmu! also sorry it’s a long post on the dash, i’m still not sure how i’m going to do verses pages so for now! i’ll add more as i get more worked out completely because i do have more ideas!! this is just all that i have sorted now.

main - general. this follows everyone’s backstories as they are described on the about pages. werewolf one - caleb anderson. w/ @moonshadcws​. after seeing caleb’s potential, their alpha ( drevyn ) decides to have him join their pack. has one of their own ( cody ) bite him and they train him in. but it’s not without it’s trials. caleb finds himself growing more and more miserable in the los angeles pack. werewolf two - caleb anderson. post previous. unable to stay within that pack any longer, caleb decides to go out on his own. he’s now trying to make it as a lone wolf.  zpocalypse - caleb anderson. caleb is one of the lucky survivors after an outbreak has wiped out a good majority of the human population. his strength and grace under pressure is what’s kept him alive for as long as he’s managed. typically, unless otherwise specified, he is traveling alone, but looking for other living beings to make some kind of home with. he still keeps his HOPE that this isn’t the end for humanity, that maybe one day they can get through this. zpocalypse - kieran day. this will take place as though kieran landed on earth in the midst of the zombie apocalypse, as opposed to modern day america. he is far more panicked about the planet he’s landed on but is, sadly, stuck. younger - christopher quinn. this takes place at any point after chris went back to his mother and before his near death. he’s a heavy user of drugs and alcohol and he is constantly partying with his mom. he never goes a day without getting fucked up, because it makes life easier. for a while.  milkovich - wyatt jacobs. w/ @mkvch​ / @sprklie​. as opposed to being close with his father and being sent to live with his mother, the roles are reversed. and his father, it turns out, is none other than terry milkovich. he now lives with them and is trying to navigate life with a handful of new half siblings and trying to recover from his mother’s death.
